Didn't see a sign with opening hours, but apparently closed from Saturday to Monday and open only from 8 to 14 from Tuesday to Friday. Not good for a weekend stroll, very sad. Like this there will be little entrance fees to help with the upkeep.

The Botanical Gardens of Tirana are scenic botanical gardens located in southern Tirana, Albania. It is the only botanical gardens complex in Albania. The garden contains around 2,000 species of plants and is maintained by horticultural experts and scientists who also use the gardens for study.

Construction of the Botanical Garden began in 1964 occupying an area of 15 ha. The garden is located in the southern part of the city opposite the mountains of Tirana and Kruja. The construction of the garden was completed and opened to the public in 1971. At that time 80% of it was planted with various plants. From the 3250 species of plants that Albania has in this garden, at least 2000 species, varieties and types of plants grow. Phytogeographical and systematic collections have always been an important part of exhibitions to reflect the main purpose of the garden as a scientific, cultural and educational institution. Being part of the University of Tirana, the kindergarten serves all universities in Albania and is very popular with students of all ages throughout the country. It is open to visitors every day from 8:00 - 16:00

Botanical garden is CLOSED on the weekends. Ridiculous. Apparently, working people are not supposed to visit it 🙄🤣 The authorities of Tirana should take better care of this park considering thee are only 2 parks in the whole Tirana 🤣🤣 2 stars for the nature, even though we only looked at it from outside.

(Translated by Google) Although this area, like the zoo, needs investment for a radical change program to be preserved as an essential element in the mosaic of a capital, but on the other hand to enjoy decent infrastructure for that of a European Capital. The changing program, which will start from the zoo, basically aims to connect the two through an underground tunnel, which will also include an aquarium with characteristic fish from all over Albania. If we talk about the hygienic safety of parents to take their children here or to the zoo, they will definitely solve the botanical garden. Programi ndryshues i cili do te filloje nga kopshti zologjik synon ne thelb edhe lidhjen midis te dyve permes nje tuneli nentokesor i cili do te kete ne perberje edhe nje akuarium me peshqit karakteristik nga gjithe Shqiperia. Nese do te flasim per sigurine higjenike te prinderve per te cuar femijet ketu apo tek zologjiku do te zgjidhje padyshim kopshtin botanik .

After Lake Park of Tirana, the botanic garden is one of the most beautiful green places in Tirana capital. As a lot of public places under municipality management need more maintenance and investments. Usually it's not opened for public but if you pay 50 cents or 1 euro the guardian can open the door for you.

There are flowers yes, but the park is not “botanical”. Park is beautiful but there are guards. The guards are racist. When you go near flowers or sitting area they mostly come and even when you pay they say “go, leave” sometimes the guards are drunk which is disgusting.

(Translated by Google) Pure nature, almost without people and I am surprised that it is so quiet and overlooked by noise. It must be that time has remained here. Then I remember the botanical garden in an eastern city of Sangehausen, Germany, how many varieties of flowers and how much maintenance. My husband tells me about the time when he was a student and doing internships here, he was very caring. I would like this place to go with time to offer more varieties of flowers and plants. I'm glad that no tower has been built here yet. Urbanization, environmental protection, climate change are the challenges of this millennium. The Botanical Garden looks like the last of the mojkans. Bashkeshorti im me tregon per kohen kur ishte student dhe bente praktikat ketu, kishte shume perkujdesje. Do te doja qe ky vend te ecte me kohen te ofronte me shume variete lulesh dhe bimesh. Gezohem qe ende nuk eshte ndertuar ndonje kulle ketu. Urbanizimi, mbrojtja e mjedisit, ndryshimi i klimes jane sfidat e ketij milleniumi. Kopshti Botanik duket si i fundit i mojkaneve.

(Translated by Google) I often take my children here but compared to the kindergartens outside where I have been there is a great need for arrangements to be minimally cleaned and people should be careful not to throw garbage. (Original) Coj shpesh femijet ketu por krahasu me kopshte jasht ku kam qene ka shume nevoje per rregullime minimalisht te pastrohet edhe njerezit duhet te ndergjesohen mos te hedhin mbeturina .
