Friday
night,
and
a
relatively
early
(for
Albania!)
dinner,
meeting
friends
afterward.
He
had
Spaghetti
carbonara,
I
had
the
Caesar
salad,
we
each
had
a
glass
of
house
red
wine,
2400
lek.
The
pasta
was
tasty
-
slightly
salty
for
my
low
sodium
palate
-
and
the
portion
was
a
bit
small,
even
by
EU
standards,
for
the
price.
The
pasta
looked
homemade
and
was
nicely
al
dente.
The
sauce
quite
tasty.
The
salad
had
THE
BEST
grilled
chicken
I
have
had
in
the
4
years
of
working
toward
my
goal
of
finding
the
perfect
Caesar
in
Tirana!
Alas,
the
delectable
chicken
is
as
far
as
this
salad
went.
Aside
from
the
ever-present
corn
(?)
and
tomatoes
(?),
the
dressing
left
a
lot
to
be
desired
and
was
not
a
Caesar
dressing,
although
it
DID
have
anchovy...a
LOT
of
anchovy...
Oil,
vinegar,
a
lot
of
fish,
no
detectable
garlic.
It
wasn't
awful,
but
it
wasn't
Caesar,
either.
But
the
chicken
in
it
was
awesome!
The
wine
was
very
good.
All
in
all,
it
was
an
average
meal
in
Tirana.
Service
was
slow
and
as
the
place
became
more
crowded,
it
became
slower.
That
said,
I
think
there
were
only
2
waiters
handling
a
rather
large
crowd.
Laveen
is
tastefully
decorated
with
a
large
outdoor
area,
comfy
and
cozy
back
rooms,
and
LOUD
'techno'
music
(?)
that
is
so
popular
these
days.
If
you
like
a
driving
beat
with
a
melody
consisting
of
only
2
uninspired
chords
played
repeatedly,
at
a
volume
that
precludes
conversation,
this
is
the
place
for
you!
I
would
go
again,
maybe
not
on
a
Friday
night
for
dinner.
