Must go, traditional homemade albanian food. I really don’t eat lamb… but whatever this woman put in this one, made it taste like some of the best dishes I have had in my life. No menu - yet the lady will bring enough food for the group. She brought us 4 different dishes to share, all increíble. We went to other traditional Albanian that were good as well but this one was just… incredible! Also recommended by a local so I fully trusted him and he was right. Great hospitality, nothing fancy, just good food!

This restaurant is a must in the heart of Tirana. If you want local cuisine as made by grandma. This is the place to come eat at. The lamb was exquisite and tender. From appetizers to drinks nothing failed here. A+++

Such a friendly and fun place! I loved the home-style food, the service. The owner is a lovely person. I'll be back, next time with my better half. 🙂

It was a wonderful cultural-gastronomy-experience. I wish every traveler to come to this very cozy, feels-like-home place where you get served 4-course menu by an incredibly nice and friendly woman. Don't expect a list of meals to choose from. Just trust this extremly warm-hearted lady to serve you and be aware it's gonna be a load of tasty, home-made and fresh food. Tons of food for two with beers and water for 30€. 👍👍👍

Be it lunch or dinner, no place is better than this to enjoy Albanian cuisine. The two sisters that own the place are marvelous hosts: they welcome their guests, they advise you, they treat you well. The menu includes traditional dishes (also suitable for vegetarians) with very good quality products and excellent taste. The burek has no competitors and their chocolate cake (prepared on the spot upon request) is just incredible. I would definitely recommend this place!

One of my best Albanian cuisine in Tirana. No fancy decoration and it’s located at the bottom floor. It’s a no menu restaurant where the owner based on what they have on the day and the number of guests to serve you. The dishes I have there are amazing. The owner is so heart warming and taking care of the guests. The service is quite slow since there is only two people handling the restaurant. But if you want a slow food Albanian cuisine experience. It’s here!

A very homely and welcoming experience! The pair of ladies running the restaurant will make sure you're well-fed and that your throat doesn't go dry either lol. Handwritten menu in Albanian only, but they'll explain your options, and if this isn't your first day in the country, you can kind of make sense of things anyways. The soup was nice, the oven-baked eggplant very delicious, and the free shots of raki very flavorful. Prices average for Tirana, I think I paid 1700ALL/€15. The restaurant is in a basement room with no reception.

An outrageously good experience. Friendly service, amazing local food with a home-made touch, at incredible value. The lovely lady who served us simply checked for any allergies / dietary requirements, before delivering one amazing dish after another. Highly recommend this authentic local experience!

Amazing food with the most welcoming host. The people giving 1 star and leaving without eating because there is no menu are fools! Lori will feed you traditional food cooked with love from her soul to yours. Trust the process, eat, drink, and enjoy. There is no need for a menu. You’re in good hands

What a gem! The owner is just wonderful, and she offered to just bring me a selection of dishes from the kitchen before I even had a look at the menu. Everything was very tasty, and I just felt very welcome. A big thank you for the lovely evening! 🙏

The service was poor and and almost rude. No menu has been shown. Concerning the food, we ordered three things: the lamb, the cottage cheese with bell peppers and a brownie with ice-cream. All of them were good, although the one with cheese were very oily.

A really excellent place for a long dinner. The food was really good, the service was leisurely but friendly and put you at ease throughout. If you’re looking for a 30 min meal it might not be the option, but for a dinner that you can sit and enjoy over time it was perfect. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Tirana for the first time.

Very lovely meal! It is to be noted that there’s no menu and the patron will bring typical Albanian dishes, so it’s a more adventurous dining experience than ordering off a menu. 100% recommend

So good. Arrived late, the chef ( working solo, she’s so nice!!!) made us a random meal, super delicious home cooked food. It was a bit busy when we arrived, but despite that, the chef was so composed and welcoming. So nice to eat homemade food, in a mellow environment as opposed to a corporate kitchen. Loads of locals, a good sign. Very cheap, so worth the visit.

Taverna e Kasapit is one of Tirana's best spots for traditional cuisine. The two sisters that run the place use fresh ingredients and try to learn the specific tastes of all of their regulars. There is no specific menu, so they can talk you through what they have on any given day. Good selection of beer and Albanian and international wines. They also have a good section of Albanian raki. The place is almost always full during the high season, so it's worth a call to book ahead. They're only open on Sundays if they have a large reservation.

If you've never tasted food that's so good it brings tears to the eyes, come here. It defies all logic how tasty the food here is. When I was finished eating it felt like I closed the last page of a good book. If I'm ever sentenced to death I'll request my last supper to be here. This is the best traditional Albanian food you'll find probably in the entire world. The service is super friendly and the atmosphere compliments the food. Bewear there's no menu and you eat whatever they serve you. Whatever they serve you will taste phenomenal. It's a shame I can only give 5 stars.

Definitely a hidden gem. No set menu, the owner brings over a few dishes based on the day/ party size. We had the lamb (literally fell off the bone), stuffed peppers, Greek salad, and an appetizer with homemade bread. For dessert we were served fresh fruits. Dinner for two worked out to 4000 Lek. As a heads up the service is a bit slow, in case you're in a rush

Visited in August 2023. Amazing food. We sat down and we were 'fed'. All the food was incredible and the house red wine was amazing. If you're in Tirana, you have to dine here!

(Translated by Google) In the central area, but hidden from those who can not search, in this restaurant you can taste typical Albanian cuisine. The environment is familiar and is made pleasant even by the two owners, who are always smiling and courteous. Definitely one of the best in the city (Original) In zona centrale, ma nascosto a chi non sa cercare, in questo ristorante è possibile assaggiare cucina tipica albanese. After my first visit, I gave it 5 stars. It was the best Albanian restaurant I had experienced. After my second visit, I have to give it 2 stars because while the food still tasted excellent and the service was friendly, it was very slow service and one of us became quite sick from the food later. :(

Delicious traditional Albanian cuisine. There is no menu, they will bring enough food for the amount of people eating. If you want to try local dishes, it is a great place.

Two totally different experiences! First time I had a lovely lamb accompanied with plentiful of warm bread and cheese and a welcoming stress-free customer service. Second time I felt like an unwanted guest in a rataurant without any meat. They were out of meat, so I ordered a vegetarian baklava that tasted so and so. Also, the food on their menu is very limited, so be aware of that. But all in all, cozy place with sometimes good food!

This is the loveliest little place, with exceptional service by two sisters who started it 18 years ago. It is a ‘God, take the wheel’ kind of place, and just go with the recommendations — you might not get a menu, but who cares when a motherly, funny and wonderful woman tells you she has already started cooking for you when she comes to the table? The food is traditional, properly home-cooked with tender loving care every step of the way, and the vibe very down to earth. Just get the stick out of a certain place and go with the flow, and you will bond with locals, learn a lot and have a truly authentic meal. It was our best eating experience in Tirana by far. Thank you!!

The food was brilliant. We were looking for somewhere to try albanian cuisine, and this was a jackpot. We got a menu composed of 4 dishes and dessert with some Raki. Joanna was brilliant and fun. This place is a must in Tirana.

Service was a little slow but overall good, there is no menu but got asked if there's anything I don't eat and if I had any allergies. They'd take it all into account For a 3 course meal of a soup starter, 4 different things for main and a dessert it all ran to 2500 LEK- I could have asked for more of everything, but I was simply so full after the normal portion
