Me
and
my
girlfriend
joined
a
group
of
other
people
and
did
the
Unesco
Tour.
It
was
our
first
cycling
holiday
and
our
first
time
in
Albania
and
after
this
truelly
amazing
experience
I
can
say
for
sure
that
it
won't
be
the
last
time.
We
went
in
April
which
offers
great
cycling
weather
in
Albania,
not
too
hot,
not
too
cold,
just
perfect.
You
cycle
from
village
to
village
every
day
guided
by
very
friendly
and
very
capable
guides
with
a
true
love
for
the
beautiful
country
they
live
in.
The
guides
were
helpful,
easy
going,
speak
fluent
English,
always
smiling
and
will
hapilly
share
their
knowledge
about
the
history
of
this
unique
country.
We
gathered
with
the
group
in
Tirana,
the
capital
of
Albania.
A
big
vivid
city
with
fun
things
to
offer
in
terms
of
bars,
restaurants,
stores
and
some
history,...
But
nothing
more
then
that,
it's
the
gathering
place
because
the
airport
is
there
but
nothing
much
more
then
that.
What
we
saw
once
we
left
the
capital
is
simply
breathtaking.
Such
a
pure
and
unspoiled
country
with
such
beautiful
nature.
An
untouched
piece
of
pure
beauty
full
of
mountains,
rivers
and
uncountable
scenerys
as
if
paintings
coming
to
live.
At
moments
we
really
felt
the
calmness,
relief
as
if
you
are
in
the
middle
of
nowhere.
I
liked
that
most
about
Albania,
the
rawness
of
it.
Passing
through
small
villages
were
people
still
live
of
the
land.
Almost
all
of
them
will
wave
at
you.
The
people
in
Albania
are
very
friendly
especially
to
tourists.
Not
in
a
way
that
they
want
something
from
you.
They
are
mostly
proud
people
that
are
happy
to
show
you
their
country.
The
Unesco
tour
will
show
you
a
huge
part
of
the
southern
side
of
Albania
and
has
everything
mountains,
the
seaside,
culture,
historical
buildings
and
villaged
and
truelly
stunning
scenery.
The
villages
were
you
arrive
after
each
tour
and
stay
the
night
are
all
very
different.
There
are
days
where
you
arrive
in
these
charming
small
villages
that
really
give
you
a
back
to
basics
feeling.
Other
ones
are
towns
where
you
will
see
great
buildings,
castles
and
learn
about
the
very
interesting
history
of
the
country
and
at
the
same
time
have
a
nice
and
fun
eveningx
grab
a
drink
and
enjoy
the
local
culture.
The
places
where
you
have
diner,
sleep
and
have
breakfast
are
no
luxury
resorts
but
have
all
the
comfort
you
can
wish
for
after
a
day
of
cycling.
Which
is
a
shower
and
a
bed
really.
The
cycling
is
not
too
hard.
Some
days
are
tougher
then
the
other
ones
as
it's
not
really
flat
you
will
have
easy
days
were
you
mostly
decent
and
you
will
also
have
days
which
are
a
bit
more
challenging
with
some
climbing.
But
every
few
hours
you
will
have
the
chance
for
a
little
break
and
everybody
can
ride
at
their
own
tempo.
A
guide
is
never
far
away
from
you
and
also
the
support
van
that
carries
your
luggage
is
always
nearby.
The
bikes
are
very
decent
and
if
anything
doesn't
feel
right
or
gets
damaged
the
guides
will
immediately
adjust/fix
it
for
you.
We
were
a
very
mixed
group.
Young,
old,
from
trained
cyclists
to
people
who
barely
cycle
in
their
daily
life
and
on
all
of
the
tours
including
the
last
one
which
is
a
challenging
climb
all
of
us
made
it.
And
if
not
it
wouldn't
have
mathered
at
all,
you
have
the
safety
that
if
you
feel
like
it's
to
much
you
can
just
get
in
the
van.
If
you
are
not
sure
about
yourself
or
just
not
a
fan
of
"normal"
bycycles
you
also
have
the
option
to
do
the
tour
on
an
e
bike,
my
girlfriend
was
one
of
the
people
who
preferred
this
and
she
loved
it.
The
food
which
is
included
was
most
of
the
times
just
amazing.
You'll
always
get
a
table
packed
with
a
variety
of
fresh
food
and
you
will
never
have
a
meal
where
you
won't
find
anything
you
like.
