I loved the location of the hostel. Super central in the Bloku district. Every happening bar and pub is a 3-4 min walk from the hostel. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The washrooms could be better. The number of washrooms is also quite less compared to the number of rooms. They are located on the second floor. And it doesn't have any lift. So if you're carrying heavy luggage.. be ready to do some heavy lifting 🥲 Anyway, I can definitely recommend this place for solo travel or people traveling with friends.

It has a unique personality made of a great location, artsy furnishings, and a calm, chilled atmosphere that both fosters social links as well as provides individual place if you need some space for yourself. I would give it a 10/10 on the booking scale. Location 10, Staff 10 - knowledgeable, helpful and calm, friendly and with a slight and nice personal touch, Comfort 10, Facilities 10, Value for money exceptional. In essence: basically as good as it gets. Room for further improvement is there, albeit minor: Adding privacy curtains for the beds, which are gradually becoming standard, would further add to the quality, there was not enough space on for personal items on a micro bed-shelf, and I would definitely add mid-day inspections of bathroom cleanliness, this is the only aspect where I would go 9/10. Otherwise cleanliness of the entire place is absolutely spotless and also furnishings are still pretty fresh, not just clean.

I’ve loved my stay here! I had to stay a long time for personal reasons, and the staff have been SO HELPFUL and understanding. I love every single one of them. If you are a middle aged traveller this is also a great spot for you, as it’s not a party hostel. Though they do offer beer and other drinks for a price. The kitchen is well stocked led for those who like to cook, and the communal fridge is large! Bathrooms are clean, though a bit small. It’s got a great location in town, you can walk to everything. They offer towels for a small fee

Vanilla Sky Hostel is a must stay in Tirana! I’ve been to a few hostels in Tirana and this is the best value. Located in the center of the blloku neighborhood, it’s never more than 20 minutes walking to most attractions. It’s also the coziest, homiest, most eclectic place with the comfiest beds in Albania. Love it!

This hostel is very nice, the beds are superbly comfortable, the hostess was kind and accommodating. The Bllok location is ideal for night life, with plenty of bars and restaurants.

The hostel is located in a very good place of the city. The owner of hostel was very kind ,welcoming and helpful person. The spaces of the hostel were very quietly, organised and sparkling clean. I will love to visit it again!

An extremely cute boutique hostel. It's brand new, with a perfect design. Each detail was chosen carefully, and contributes to the homely feeling. In addition, the owner and workers are lovely and helpful. The rooms are very nicely designed as well, and the beds are very comfortable. It was really a pleasant stay, this hostel is the next big thing in Tirana, I highly recommend!

Great hostel really loved it. The staff were super friendly and helpful from recommending bars and places for breakfast. They even were able to print our boarding passes for me and my friends. Decor was alot of fun and unique. Location was near Blloku where alot of bars and shops are so right in the action! Hostel sold bottled water for around 60 lek which was very handy. Unfortunately for me my bed didn't come equipped with a charge port/light (that I could see) and was under the AC unit but I managed to use other ports in the room and could drop the AC down to a reasonable level. Really great stay fantastic staff would love to stay again!

I had an amazing experience at Vanilla Boutique Hostel! The location is perfect, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The hostel's decor is charming, clean, and the beds are comfortable. The guests were friendly and the staff, the two workers, were always willing to help. They let me store my things while I went on a trip up north and are easily reachable through WhatsApp messages. I stayed for more than 7 nights and couldn't be happier with this place. Thank you for everything! ♥️

I enjoyed my stay at the Vanilla Sky Hostel and was very impressed. Beds had memory foam mattresses and pillows, nice cotton sheets and duvet covers. Very clean and nice friendly spot with good size community room and open kitchen. It was in a safe area , close to city center & buses, plus good restaurants close by. I highly recommend it!

Our room was so nice and clean with private bathroom. We have booked for two nights but only can stay one night. Hostel is closed to the center but no elevator that is not good when you have heavy luggages. The rest was fine

As a solo traveler, staying in hostels can be tricky. But at this location, you don't have to worry! They clean and change the bed sheets every day. They mop and dust everything. The kitchen is clean and spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms ate clean. The AC and wifi 10/10. The location is in the heart of Tirana. If you want to go to the Bazar and the square it is 15-20mins away. If you want to go to the lake it's 15-20mins away as well. You are surrounded by shops and restaurants. Super safe and good. I would definitely come again ! Thank you

I chose this hostel for the pictures which are really attractive and to be honest it was even better. Found a clean and comfortable space and also felt the Albanian hospitality since my arrival. Relaxed and laid back hostel, good vibes and friendly people - shootout to Mario who gave me several recommendations on where to go eat and visit. On the other hand, one recommendation - improvement with curtains in the rooms, as they are a bit thin and sun could make one wake up easily(at least that happened to me 😅). Looking forward to coming back to Albania and staying at this spectacular place.

I’ve stayed in a few hostels in Tirana and this is my favorite. The staff is so helpful and seem to genuinely want to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

I stayed here for a week. It was the best hostel in Tirana! I can't recommend it enough! The staff are friendly, the common room and kitchen are a perfect place to relax or get work done (if you're a digital nomad like me). The manager, Mario, is a great resource if you have any trouble whatsoever. I'll probably be back! :)

Really nice little hostel. Friendly and helpful staff and the interior is beautiful. The beds are big and totally comfortable. The location is also good to explore the city. There are some supermarkets, bars and restaurants just around the corner.

Vanilla Sky is one of the best hostels I've ever been in. The staff is great, owner has some incredible stories of how she started the hostel and the interior is made out of top quality designer furnishings. When I came the hostel was so clean I felt bad to make food and ruin it. I've visited other hostels, which were shabby and unkept, so Vanilla Sky is worth the extra price!

Highly enjoyable hostel! I stayed in a private room here, and the communal areas and the beds were so comfortable and fantastic. The staff went above and beyond (my partner tore his bag and asked if they had a needle - they didn’t have one, but she came back after her shift had ended to give him a needle!) In other words, fantastic Albanian hospitality and kindness. Also met some lovely people staying there!

Vanilla Sky is the place to stay in Tirana. It doesn't quite feel like the standard Hostel - so beware once you go here, you might have a hard time adapting to not so well equipped and beautifully designed hostels. And Mario's the guy!

I feel myself was privileged to spend my last 4 days in Tirana at Vanilla Sky Boutique Hostel. The director Entela is an elegant and beautiful person, she's willing to give a hand and suggestions anytime. The design and decoration showed high class tastes, the actual and the pictures on website are 100% matched, well conditions facilities, memory-Foam Mattress, pillow and good quality duvet are marvelous! I loved the balcony ;-) Thank goodness that I've explored Tirana before I stayed at Vanilla, the lounge is too cozy to go out for sight-seeing. The location is perfect, restaurants, shops, attractions are walkable distances, airport only 30 minutes duration via Taxi, price was reasonable (2020 November was €10) Vanilla Sky Boutique Hostel is one of the best accommodations in Tirana, you will appreciate yourself to choose staying here for sure! Hopefully the pandemic will be over soon that I can go traveling and visit Tirana again!

This boutique hostel is beautiful and very well-located in Blloku where you can find all the nice bars and restaurants in Tirana. The hostel itself is lovely and clean. The staff are very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay there again next time I go back.

Less than 6 months old as of mid January 2020, so everything was pristine and clean. The beds we're very comfortable and the shared living area is a very comfortable space to be in. The location in Blloku neighborhood is stellar, and the value for the price is exceptional. I felt like I was staying at an upscale hotel, everything was so nice. Free coffee and tea, great kitchen for cooking one's own meals, and nice bathroom. The bedrooms are quite spacious, not cramped like many hostels. The staff are very friendly and helpful, all speaking pretty good to great English, and sincerely happy to be hosting their guests. I will return later on this trip.

The location of the hostel is close to high end restaurants in Tirana and its very close proximity to the central square and easy to get around the tourist spots in Tirana. The hostel is clean and new and with artistic design. The PCR test can be done in the hostel with the help of the hostess arranging one for you from a certified laboratory clinic and most of all the owner is always there to help and assist you with your travels enquiries all over albania.

It’s the nicest hostel in Tirana. The interior decor is amazing and warm. The whole hostel is clean, and comfortable, including the beds. Great security, and friendly local staff.

Central location near bars and restaurants, with a beautifully decorated reception area. However had a few issues: - Wifi didn’t work well in the room, it often disconnected (every 3-5mins) if the door was closed, and overall things didn’t load - AC was super weak in my room as well. We had it set to 16C and it was still at least 27-30C. It also would turn off frequently at night - Curtains were sheer, so the room got very bright at 4:30am - Wasn’t able to pay with card despite it being advertised that you could. I was told that it’s because I was staying more than 1 night, but another girl in my dorm had no issues paying with card for a 2 night stay - Not a super social hostel, so it’s luck of the draw as to whether you get friendly people in your room - Also no age limit so there were 60 year old men in my room - The shower door doesn’t lock for the girls bathroom and you’re not supposed to lock the exterior door (as there are two toilets and one shower in it) Overall, hostel was nice and modern, but would’ve preferred staying somewhere more social with working AC and wifi
