STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! This hotel is a real nightmare. Take your time to read the reviews, it will prevent you from a destroyed holiday. All the bad reviews here are true. This is my experience: - total price for them does not mean total but you will be charged 4 EUR per person per night for alleged city tax, which does not exist, - if you are going to pay with your credit card, exchange rate of 135 ALL for EUR will be applied even though the common rate is 120 ALL for 1 EUR. That means that in the end for a-few-day stay in the hotel you will be charged even 100 EUR extra, - there is no rooftop restaurant. There is just a lot of rubbish on the roof, - no seafront hotel. You need to cross the road and walk around other buildings to get to the dirty beach, - the sea view does not exist. You will get a view of an opposite apartments and only from the side you will see a small piece of the sea between the buildings, - no one in the hotel says hello to you, the atmosphere here is tragic. The staff keep smoking and drinking coffee when they are not playing on their phones, they don´t care about the guests at all, - if you have paid for breakfast you will get: dry old bread, two kinds of eggs, some dry grocery, two kinds of poor ham, if you are happy the vegetable (always cucumber and tomato only) has not been eaten, dirty apples and oranges and the cheapest juices (probably made from powder). The only edible thing there is a sponge cake. THIS IS THE ONLY HOTEL IN THE GALAXY WHICH WILL CHARGE YOU FOR COFFEE OR TEA AS IT “IS NOT INCLUDED” IN BREAKFAST. You will eat your breakfast surrounded by dirty tables because no one has cleaned them. By far the most disgusting breakfast I have ever seen. To conclude… This so called “hotel” equals a very poor hostel. Save your time, money and dignity, and avoid it. For me it was a very tragic experience, I probably have no better word for it. Btw. I am giving rating it with one star as I cannot go into the minus.

This hotel is said to have 4 start though it’s surely not the case. Two girls at the reception are so far from being welcoming, the opposite, they were quite rude to me, I didn’t like the experience of any single conversation with them during my stay. The rest of the hotel stuff was pretty nice. I had a stay during March which is not a touristic season and still cold outside to my extreme surprise hotel didn’t have any hot water I almost got sick because of cold showering; after I was complaining about it, in 3 days they offered to shower at the other floor (9th) where they have water heater; they gave a key card, you take towels and all the things you need to go shower, as if you are at some hostel, and you come to a room where someone was showering before you, you see empty bottles and packages of shower cosmetics in the shower, A PEE was on the toilet itself and the floor was dirty. This is the kind of a hotel you are looking at. My room was spacious and looked good. Toilet flash and balcony door don’t function properly and require fixing. One of the waiters at the late evening dinner didn’t bring me the change of like €5, I forgot such attitude from waiters can happen, he decided to take a tip himself. Beside that Balcony view is looking right to the windows of other people’s apartments, attaching a picture of this. Behind this building there is a sea which you can hear during the night at your room especially if it’s a windy and stormy night.

What a HORRIBLE experience! I booked a room for 3 nights for 2 people via Hotels.com and I received a text message from the hotel today (attached) saying that my reservation is not valid and that I should rebook using a different service. After trying to contact the hotel all day and getting absolutely NOWHERE with their staff through 5+ phone calls and WhatsApp messages, we will be in Durrës tomorrow with no hotel room. Never in my life have I experienced such HORRIBLE customer service. First of all, the fact that the hotel’s contract with Hotels.com expired has NOTHING to do with us. That is an internal issue which should be fixed because what was said to us is that we should cancel my perfectly valid and fully paid for reservation and go to the hotel to book a room and pay MORE than what I initially paid. This is absolutely ridiculous! The hotel staff gave us 2 options - to get our money back or to start a new reservation through them. After picking the second option and sending them my receipt from Hotels.com so the price we paid is honored including breakfast and 10% off spa services, I received no answer to my last message. See you tomorrow Belmond as we will work this out in person. 0/5 stars, do not waste your time or money on this horrible hotel!

The hotel is not on the beach. It is on the wrong side of a busy road. The price of using the uncomfortable sunbeds is an added cost. The pictures of the beach area is not the actual location. You will be disappointed. Also there is no beach bar. If you ask for a coffee/tea at breakfast you will be charged more as it is not included. There are so many added extras and the staff can not explain why it is not added into the cost of the room. Also a number of staff do not speak English so it is hard to communicate. I was travelling alone and was followed into the sea and propositioned by one of the staff members which made being in and around the hotel very uncomfortable. Despite the room being beautiful I would not advise people stay here for a stress free holiday until they sort out their pricing and advertisements. As the disappointment would ruin your holiday. I luckily had only booked for one day.

The worst hotel I have been ever! Stay away. The two girls on reception rude, room dirty, awful food-all inclusive is some joke here. For breakfast you have to drink water in plastic cup, for coffee you have to pay, all the drinks even water you can have only in the lunch and dinner time - when you’re eating. Dessert it’s not in price of all-inclusive, as the second beer. Unfortunately you haven’t got a choice of the meal even if you’re vegetarian or have some allergy. No fruit. Sparkling water for breakfast is EKSTRA so you have to pay for it. Children bed is cost 15€/ night, even you can’t use for free the small baby chair to feed your baby. I can’t close the window in my room and nobody is interested, I reported it 4 times. We choose this hotel because was written at the front of the beach with a swimming pool, WRONG swimming pool is not exist here and to go to the beach you have to pass the main street, with a stroller is almost impossible. At 4 pm some young girl with normal clothes and a backpack opened my room, when she saw me she closed the door, I went outside to see what is happening and she asked me in Albanian if I need a shower gel and soap, on the door it was written do not disturb and the cleaning service was here fiew hours before. So watch out people! With the same money you can choose 5 stars beautiful hotel fiew minutes walk from here at the front of beach with beautiful swimming pool and spa and baby bed on the price . We do this after 2 days in this hotel.

One assistant, who finally arranged me a room, which I actually booked, after I spent two days without getting what I paid for Facility: Curtains broken, no essentials in the room (bin, soaps, towels), open beer in fridge, bed over used, dirty bed (sheets had yellow marks on them) and bathroom. Breakfast: worst taste I ever had, either the cooks were bad or the food was just not made freshly. The food in other restaurants was exquisite. Price: They are actually fooling us with "€". You not only pay the taxes in the hotel but also pay their rate of exchange, which is 135!!! The market exchange was 102!!!! I don't know how booking.com can make partnerships with people who are rouge. You pay way more than shown in the final price on booking.com Service: You have to pay for the beach too. The pictures are showing something else than the reality. I didn't use Sauna, as I was afraid the money wouldn't be worth it.

We spent 1h waiting at the reception for check in. Room was not cleaned - dirty towels in the bathroom, sheets and pillow cases were not changed. Swimming pool - out of order, AC - out of order, SPA - out of order. We decided not to stay at the hotel. Refund process is super convoluted. We spent an hour trying to reach manager, and get money back. No card payments. Preffered payment is in euros. If you want to pay in local LEK, exchange rate is outrageous.

Literally one of the worst hotels in existence. I paid more for a sea room view and didn’t get it, instead got a vinegar smelling fridge, DIRTY room, toilet still had pee stains from previous guests, the window was broken and AC didn’t work. I had to change rooms and the new room also had a broken AC. When I complained to the staff and requested 27 Euros back for the upgrade I paid she said sorry no refunds, I know you had all these issues but … *que stare at floor indicating owners are scammers* and when I asked if there was a manager she said no they never show up. The hotel had the audacity to message me on this app asking for a good review offering me 10% off my next stay. I wouldn’t stay there if they paid me to.

Worst experience ever, i found this hotel in booking with a discount from 55 euros to 23 euros. In the description it said the room has a balcony and a sea view but the reality was different ( no sea no balcony only buildings) The girl at the reception told us we had to pay 5 euros the city tax+ 6 euros for the parking, none of this was mention on the bill that they send me in the mail 😏. The staff was very rude and not helpful at all. They had snacks and drinks at the room for which you should pay a minimum of 5 euros for if you ate/drink it( a store in your room). NEVER AGAIN.

Good location, beautiful and stylish lobby, comfortable beds, spacious bathroom and that's all. After we checked-in it has started a totally disappointment. First we got totally wrong room. We booked spacious room with 3 beds and with a sea view. But we got a tiny room with 2 beds and with view on some ruin. After 30 minutes of waiting for complete concierge we got a room, which we almost booked.Sea view was covered by 2 huge buildings. In room there was a out of order vault and toilet seat. After first night we got buffet breakfast in the morning, but on the next day for some reason the breakfast was with service. For example we got eggs with eggshells or too salty. Furthermore there was same problem with refill coffee or juices. At the end, like as a summary of our stay, they tried to scrounge additional money off us. We paid before our stay, but they wanted to charge some city tax and even for 3rd breakfast (that specially funny, because we spent only 2 days there with 2 mornings). I recommend this place only if you want have bad memories from your vacation.

upon arrival they charge you the an extra 100% rate as 'city tax' which doubled our costs. I have friends working in Albania in the tourism industry and know that the tax rates are only 15%. We had booked a family suite for 4 people on booking.com. One of us arrived later, so we were 3 people during the check in. They should have seen that we booked a family suite, but first they gave us another room with only 3 beds. We got another room, actually 2 rooms and there was a door between them (they don't have a family suite, that's just a lie ). We even asked for a sea view room, and they said we will get a room like that. A sea-view room for them means that if you go to the balcony, behind the buildings you can see the sea a little bit among streets and stores, the spectacular view was the second lie . It was written that they serve vegan food, we even wrote them about it and they said, no problem. We had breakfast and of course the workers were not able to tell us which foods were vegan. Coffe was not included in the breakfast. Most workers didn't even speak English , not even some basic words and there were not enough workers to clean the tables during breakfast, so they were mostly dirty. Breakfast was from 7 am, once we went to eat at 7 am and only half of the food was served, so we had to wait a lot for the rest of the food, and the selection was small anyway. The hotel is not waterfront, only relatively close to the sea. The parking lot was awful with huge pillars and drivers who didn't know how to park and it was full of water coming out from all sides . You cannot go upstairs om the stairs and one of the two elevators broke down, which they did not even start repairing. Crowds were constantly waiting in front of the elevator. Another critic concerns the safe in the room which was of poor quality and not even fixed to the wall. The only good thing about the hotel is that it looks good, has a good location, but like I said, it is not waterfront as described. It is very far from the services of a 4-star hotel. In fact, it is maybe a two-star hotel at most.

It is a scam and an embarrassing attempt at trying to run a hotel. You'll be charged extra for everything, including coffee for breakfast. No hot water in the shower, just lukewarm and the bathroom smells of cigarettes. The advert mentioned a pool but it was closed and the gym consists of dust covered old machines some of which don't even work. Stay away from this pseudohotel to avoid huge disappointment. This hotel seems to be runned by teenagers and college students. Not professional at all. They were very arrogant and didnt help us. Besides the cleaning maids we didnt see 1 friendly face, which is a big disappointment. I am Albanian speaking but prefer to talk English. As the staff didn't know this, they talked in Albanian with each other and looked down on us. The room itself smelled and was not clean. They just sweaped the floor of the bedroom and bathroom, the rest was all filthy and smelled very bad. There were stains on the towels, bed covers, walls and on the windows. We didnt have a good view as promised. It was a very filthy room. There even where insects. Also there was a leak in the roof in front of the stairs. You could easily slip and fall down. This was terrible. The facilities on the decription are promised but not meeted. We didnt even have batteries for the remote control of the tv. They promise you a private beach but there is none, you will have to pay for a public beach. You have to litterally pay for every single thing. Very disappointing as the facilities were the reason for us to book this hotel in the first place. The breakfast was the worst thing. It was just a bunch of disgusting things produced in mass for the people. Nothing freshly served and a lot of unhealthy and greasy things. The thing which upset me the most was that I asked the people what meat the sausages they served was and they tell me it was chicken. As it tasted strange, I asked them again next day what meat it was and they answered "porc". I completely lost it here. As a muslim this is the worst thing you could do to me. In overall a very disappointing hotel, I don't see how they got their stars but for us this was a big 0. This drasticly influenced our stay in Durrës, which I regret a lot. Definitely not coming back. They should clean their hotel and get quality staff which knows what they are doing and serving!

If it was possible to give 0 I would l, photo is blurry but soap with hair on it in the shower 😫, smelly room, windows never cleaned, not possible to open. The shower had lime and the hotel was supposed to be new as it had in construction as mentioned many parts of it. Never ever again - please stay away from VH Eurostar Durres Hotel. Booked a room through expedia about 10 days ago, for an update on the existing reservation I have ben trying to reach them out with countless attempt but I am afraid all my attempts failed. They are unresponsive. I asked expedia to contact them even expedia customer services failed to get a response to their attempt too, thus, I suggest everyone planning to to do business with this Hotel please stay away from them and try alternative ones with better review. No wonder why 472 people on Google gave them 2 STARS. Best luck

I stayed here for 6 nights. I actually enjoyed my stay, as long as you follow some eastern Europe rules of thumb, everything will be fine. The hotel is close to the beach, you have to cross a street. Usually the crossing is really easy, most cars stop to let you cross. The beach is constantly cleaned, so the beach is mostly clean, there is some garbage because the tourists are just throwing their garbage everywhere. The water is quite dirty but not gross, obviously since it is in a city. The beach is definitely not like in the pictures, I think the pictures might be from a different hotel a couple hundred meters away. The food was mostly boring, but enough. It felt like the ingredients were of fine quality. The wine and the coffee was also fine. The rooms were just like in the pictures. There were several problems/mistakes with the rooms and the payment, but the staff took care and everything was fine in the end. It seems that the staff doesn't have much experience, but they are trying to help. Just have some patience and speak with the staff. The gym is a mess. On the terrace there is a closed bar, but the view is superb and you can stay there and enjoy the view and your own drinks. The worst part about staying here is the busy traffic. You literally can't go anywhere with the car if you don't want to waste lots of time in the traffic. Overall, the hotel has potential to be a great 4* hotel but it still has lots of work to get there.

The rooms are good, the food the same every day (nothing special) and no one asks you if you want to eat it, there is no buffet, they don’t stick to the lunch and dinner schedule (dinner starts at 7pm and we didn’t get it at 7.45pm). Dinner comes in portions, the first part being macaroni or rice, the second part chicken and french fries. The hotel is not on the beach, 200 meters away. They all charge you 6 euros per day for parking, even though we are guests, and the parking lot stinks of sewage. They didn’t let us do one taekwondo training at their fitness center, but they asked us for 5 euros per person if we wanted inside (and the fitness center is in another building). Although we paid for breakfast and dinner through booking and still extra pay for lunch, they asked us when we check out 2 euros to use the kitchen?!?! In short this was my first and last out at this hotel and I do not recommend it. Wifi is very bad they disconected every 5-8minutes.

BOOKING did nothing when we called them!!! They didn't remove them from their site. DO NOT BOOK!!!!!!

We reserved room for two days via booking. We come today to see hotel is already closed for several days. Nobody even notified us, while two days ago we asked what currency is preferable, and they responded that lek or euro is ok.

We were supposed to stay in the hotel for one night, but we survived only 1 hour. First of all the reception staff is barely doing their job, we entered the room, no blanket, no towels and used shower gel in the bath. They brought blanket without cover so we decided to sleep only with one cover that was already on the bed. Opened it and there were two big stains on it 🤢. After that we packed and left. Went on reception to check out, told him about the room condition and the receptionist only asked if we used something from the mini bar, didn’t even care about why we are leaving after one hour. Ignored our booking from Booking.com 4 months ahead of the stay because we haven't paid in advance even there was no such option. Suggested to provide room with "sea view" from the next day, but beach is on the other side of the road so rooms with a sea view is not really a thing or you will be lucky enough to have window in between other hotels.

02.06.2023 It's not as bad as *a lot* of reviews from months ago show, they either changed management or something else idk The room was clean, rather big and had everything you expect a hotel room to have The Concierge was friendly, though slightly bothered by everlasting questions of residents (which is normal, don't get me wrong but I'd be.bothered too at some point) Thing is, they will charge you for service or something.. in advance For me it was 25€ per person per night so that is something you probably want to be aware of The parking situation is precarious but there is a side street right when you turn right at the hotel sign where you could find a spot. They do indeed have their own beach but as of now they weren't offering umbrellas and beach loungers yet.

One towel for two persons, only one blanket ,they weld two single beds and give you that for double bed, the telephone for room service didnt have signal, and the only thing they ask when you leave is “did you take any drink from the bar because you have to pay for that” I give one star becasue i cant give 0

Great room, spacious and clean. The location is very good: you can easily reach the sea and the city center. Parking very easy and secure. The breakfast is very nice, mostly the pancakes, 10/10. Overall a great experience, me and my husband choose to stay here very often.

Its a bit scam. Figting about prices (and giving you bigger, then on internet) and of course bad music INCLUDED! People (staff) are still usually nice and polite, but the hotel is, well I had to change rooms because of some reasons (bad bathroom smell), etc… But they have nice rooftop view (a bit punk of course).

We had booked and paid in March two Family suites, but they had clearly given our rooms to other people. Asked to find an immediate solution, they started saying it was not their problem. After a very unpleasant verbal fight, they assigned us a provisional accomodation the level of which was of a by far lower level assuring they'd provide us our rooms they day after. Useless to say that the day after no solution was available, but for a lower level accomodation. We decided for reimbursement which was hard to get, and we even had to call local police. Keep out from this place, which by thee way seems to be managed by a ghost as we weren't even able to get to know his name, let alone ti speak to him
