Beautiful mosque.

The mosque one of the biggest in Balkan will be part of an Islamic complex in the heart of Tirana, which is set to house conference and exhibition halls, libraries and museums. The site is located near landmark Catholic and Orthodox cathedrals.

Still under construction but worth a stop. The mosque will have four minarets, each 50 meters high, while the central dome will have a height of 30 meters. The first floor of the mosque will include a cultural center and other facilities. The mosque is being constructed on a 10,000-square-meter parcel of land near Albania's parliament building and will have the capacity for up to 4,500 people to pray at one time within the mosque.

It's not open yet (March 24), but from abroad it's beautiful!

A very beautiful mosque. The Namazgah Mosque will have the capacity to host thousands of people over 10000 square meters of area. It will contain a library and an exhibition hall. A "co-existence museum" is also being planed in the mosque.

This is a newly built mosque, another example of Turkey's efforts to islamise Albania, a quite irreligious country. It is NOT historical, it was not under renovation or reconstruction when some people writing here visited it, but actually under construction.

The Namazgah Mosque or Great Mosque of Tirana is the largest Muslim worship center in the Balkans, with a capacity for 5,000 parishioners and has cost 30 million euros, which have been fully financed by Turkey.
