A very old vegetarian restaurant known for it's afternoon veg meals. A complete multi-course meal served hot on a plantain leaf. This usually offers rice, sambar, rasam, kozhambu, kootu, Kari, curd/butter milk, payasam, pickle, pappad. The taste is really good and it's homelike. You won't feel like you had a meal in a restaurant, it feels like home food. The price is also very nominal, the service is nice. If you're looking for a traditional place to have south Indian meals then this is a go to place. Peak time is 12 to 2 in the afternoon, during these time it'll be a bit crowded. You have to purchase an extra token if you need curd (rs. 15). Unlimited veg meals served here. A wholesome and sumptuous meal.

A famous hotel operating more than 5 decades. This hotel is famous for only meals. As on today (Sep-19), the rate of meals is Rs 80 and RS 10 for curd. The meals comprises of small amount of tamarind rice, 3 side dishes (koottu, aviyal, poriyal), white rice, sambar, mor/majjika kolambu, rasam, payasam, butter milk, papad and pickle. The food is tastier and will not cause any problem to stomach. Located at prime location and is easily noticeable from the road. The tables and chairs will be of old style. The neatness and wash area to be improved.

From most reviews you can see that this is a 5 decade old restaurant serving vegetarian meals only. The one thing they do, they do it awesomely 👌 You will have a high quality marriage food taste here and worth the 100 + 10 for curd money spent. Simply put, it is a great meals experience for your stomach.

Food was very normal. But the crowd was there for the reasonableness of the cost, I think. You will not have any car parking available and hence you should most probably take an auto to this place or by walk. They serve lunch in a traditional way in a banana leaf and unlimited meals, which was very heavy to consume.

In my knowledge and experience only one Hotel in Trichy which provide food in early hours by 9-30AM. Homely food with quality and homely taste. Only one condition you eat whatever you like but don't waste the food. I am a regular customer of this hotel for the past 30 years. People will like and reach from all over india.

Food very average. For 100/- not worth. There is a hype about serving plenty of vegetables. Don't expect too much. Curd not provided in Rs.100/-

It's a pleasurable moment that today I had lunch at new madura hotel. I am quit surprised that even after having the customer of this hotel to take lunch occasionally, the taste of sambar is the same even today. The serving professionals are doing their portion sincerely and finally this are all happens by the best management and wish to continue to serve the social.

One of the best vegetarian hotels for Lunch in Trichy. The ambiance of the restaurant make you feel like a home. They serve the lunch in the plantain leaf. Moorekozhambu is their trademark recipe, I found people skip Sambar and start with it. You feel like eating even after a full tummy. The food is harmless to your stomach. Nice place to eat.

Good food. One of the elderly server was behaving as though he is doing a favour by serving food. They need to be trained on customer service. Arrangement of eating area was traditional and good. Cleaning could be better.

Indipendent table & chairs , full size clean Banana leaf...Cost of full meals Rs.100..( recently price was hiked from 80 ) Curd separate Rs.10....you will Get three side dishes as Kuttu , Porial & Avial ..Appalam and pickle ..and cup of Payasam and small amount of variety rice and unlimited rice with Sambhar , Mour Kuzhambhu , Rasam and butter milk ...side dishes you can ask for extra quantity.....

I like their rasam very well with good hint of asafoetida..

Serves a delicious and healthy lunch spread. Place was recommended by an Ayurveda doctor. Had lunch on two Saturdays. Payasam is delicious. It has edible camphor added. Beans was really good. You need to come here to have food. If you want to spend time in a good ambiance, then you are not the right person for the place.
