After watching many YouTube reviews about this hotel, we had a big hype and went to this hotel for breakfast. I totally disappointed with Sambar, chutneys. We can get good Ghee dosa(Super dosa) here but You can't feel the taste with their Sambar and chutney. If you want to feel the authentic iyengar tiffin and budget friendly hotel then you can go here onetime . Other than this nothing special here .

Super disappointed with the place. There was a lot of hype going on for this place, given its legacy. But looks like it's all legacy now. Food is very normal. Place isn't very clean. If you're planning to come from Srirangam or Trichy, skip it. There are better places to go to.

One of the oldest restaurant in the city near Thiruvanaikovil Temple. They were still maintaining the old style of seating inside the restaurant. While entering itself you will get a vibe of entering our grandparents house, I felt so. They use only firewood for cooking it is adding extra taste to the food here. I tried Idly, Rava Pongal and Sambar vada here. Out of that I say Rava pongal was one of the must try food over here. Idly was also soft. Sambar vada was deeply indulge in the sambar very very soft. Their chutney was also very good and thick. Homely food at nominal price.

I would suggest this place for breakfast. One of the best hotels in Srirangam or Trichy. This restaurant is 100m away from Temple (Jambu Keshava). There will be always crowd, but definitely u will get seat in 5 to 10 mins. Bit difficult to get car parking. There is no seperate place for car parking. They serve limited items (Idly, Dosa, Puri and Vada) I had Idly - 3/5 (Not hot, I expected to be hot) Dosa - 4/5 Puri - 4/5 Tea ☕ - 3/5 Coffee ☕ - 3/5

Doesn't deserve this hype. U won't have a choice for your breakfast.. the server himself told us to have normal dosa, when we again asked for options he told we don't have time to prepare others that too in a harsh way. Just because we brought elders with us and that we already waited for more than 10 minutes, we took breakfast there.. if not we would have taken other hotel options. Don't build too much of expectations and take u your family saying great things,it's just a old heritage hotel with rude staffs and noisy environment, then you may get embarrassed as we did.

Words can little explain the beauty of this place . Excellent food taste of which will remain on your tongue for a good time, serving staff runs the business by owning it. Very reasonable pricing. Must try to have authentic taste.

The building is very old and maintained well.. gives us a very nostalgic feel.. Food is tasty but the wait time is high when it is overcrowded. For take aways better to take your vessels instead of payin additional charges for packing. It's very close to thiruvanaikovil.

Great tasty food in a mess setting. Unfortunately place is not very tidy or neat, but don't let that discourage you to try the food, as food is served on banana leaf, so it is still good to eat. Outstanding tasty South Indian food. We only ate variety of dosas between 20+ friends.

Went to this restaurant after visiting tiruvanaikovil temple... pray to Jambukeswara and Shri Akhilandeshwari.... the restaurant is very near to the temple and you have to wait for some time to get the seat and you have to keep looking for some one to getup and choose the seat and I think at a time 20 people can have the food... I ordered idly, ghee dosa, poori and coffe and all are very good and vwry tasty... authentic food and will sure enjoy the food...authentic food and very old hotel... rate is very cheap and for all those food I just got the bill of rs. 110 and taste is priceless...

One of the best eateries in Trichy This place opens around 5am (closed on Mondays), serves fully vegetarian food, and is a very old restaurant. The food was simply outstanding, with the ghee roast, sambar vadai and filter coffee a standout. I went there at 6am to also try their famous rava ponggal, but the owner said none were left (within an hour of opening). They are very famous for their ghee roast, and this was the best i have had. The place is also very clean, the price is very cheap, and the staff are very polite. The food is cooked using only firewood, hence the great taste. It is very near to the Jambukeswarar temple. Don't miss it

After the wife went searching for Marapachi bommai in Srirangam and I caught up with work. Time for an evening snack before hitting the road to Chennai. Wife had rava kesari, orange in color n enticing, verdict was good. I had a vengaya vadai which was quite tasty We then ordered the iconic SUPER - Ghee roast. @65/- was VFM. The pottukadalai chutney was not to my liking. Sambhar was delicious

Well.. what can I write about this place. For those who like authentic vegetarian tiffen for a competitive price, this is the best place. I literally travel to only have food here. The hygiene is maintained as well.. The only con is, now a days they use only gas cylinder instead of wooden fire cooking due to commercialisation. A must visit place.

Very worst service. For half an hour nobody took order. Later a guy kept oily vadai which was chill and cold. Travelled long to taste their food, ended up in having Dosa in neighbourhood restaurant. Taste along with service is very important for a restaurant business

Although the hotel is famous for traditional Rava dosa and other dishes for the flavour and taste, it's located in a very narrow lane where it's too difficult to find a car parking place, lighting can be improved, some more cleanliness required, otherwise it's worth trying. It may not suit people who prioritise the atmosphere/environment

The main speciality of this mess is super dosa which is one enough to fill your tummy. It is located exactly behind Thiruvanaikaval temple so there will always be crowd. From early morning 5 you will get vegetarian food.. We have tried super dosa with chutney sambar and a vada.. The most perfect and delicious vada I have ever tasted. No separate parking space but you can park your vehicles along the road. Don't see the ambience of the mess.. But see the taste it's nice yar.. The only drawback is sambar which is not up to that level of taste.. Remaining all are perfect.

Partha Sarathy Vilas, Srirangam, Thiruvanaikoil, Tiruchirappall Apparently a name that needs no introduction to people in Trichy and definitely a place that leaves a gastronomic imprint in the memory of those who visit this place from outside Trichy . Serving traditional south Indian breakfast items, the place is very famous for its Ghee Pongal which gets over within half hour of the hotel opening, we had to go for the next best things on the menu, The Ghee Roast & The Medu vada . Crispy and flavoursome, served with two chutneys and sambhar, this was definitely a winner. The place is about 80 years old and these are the items that upholds the name and fame of the place . The place opens at around 5:30am and is right next door to Tiruvanaikovil Arulmigu Jambukeswarar Akilandeswari Temple, Trichy

We went to this place for breakfast based on the excellent references that we had to only be sourly disappointed by the experience. We had to wait for a table because the place was packed. There was hardly any choice of menu with only idlis and butter/ghee dosa available along with vadas. We were three of us and had to share the 4th seat with a complete stranger because of the crowd. Though the dosa was good the coconut chutney which came as an accompaniment was very sub average. The restaurant looked very unhygienic and the wash area was pretty messy. The prices were very reasonable though. This was definitely a very hyped up place which is best avoided.

Best place to take your taste buds for a vacation. I mean the standard they have maintained is unbeatable. The best place for a fantastic Tamil Nadu style padamaana dosa. Lip smacking!!! Possibly one of the restrauants with customer repeat and retention percentage of 99% Can't talk enuf about PSV !!!

A different experience than usual commercial hotels. Butter dosa is special here. It's tastes good. Sambar is too thick. Paniyaram is available. Ok for a one time try.

A well deserved name as a super for dosa and it was awesome. Special recommendation for sambar Vada it was so soft... The only thing I gave 4 stars for the person who was at the cash counter he shows some attitude while paying the bill he just threw the balance amount on the table while my hands were there to collect the balance.

If you're looking for a delicious and authentic South Indian tiffin, you should definitely check out this restaurant! The butter roast is definitely a must-try - it's so crispy and crunchy . The service here is also great - the staff are friendly and attentive, and they make sure your experience is a good one.

  • 3/5 annarasan a. 9 months ago on Google
The food was average especially "super tosai". Coffee was within ok range and Mysore bonda was just a normal bonda. Nothing great or exceptional.

  • 5/5 Vipin K. 9 months ago on Google
It is an old restaurant and more like a mess. But the food is so tasty n amazing, and affordable too. They serve on the banana leaf. Definitely go for it if you like authenticity. Must visit

Good hotel at this locality with right price for food. Disadvantage is only dosa will be available after 8 am. They should prepare more quantity of food considering crowd.

  • 5/5 Arun D. 1 year ago on Google
Must visit place. Famed for its Ghee Roast Dosa. Cooking by firewood. Interiors are very basic. So come here to enjoy the food. Round up by a cup of coffee. You need to pick up your banana leaf and put it in the waste bin

A hotel esteemed before Independence and famous personalities like Former Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu Mr.Kamarajar, Mr.M.G.Ramachandran and others had their yummy food here. The ghee Roast served here is extremely awesome and taste is well maintained from those days.

It was my 1st visit to this homelike restaurant. Ghee dosa (they call it super dosa) along with thick sambar and 2 varieties of chutneys was delicious. Service was quick and the ambience was home like. The price was on lower side. Overall a great experience and will re-visit at next opportunity

We went for breakfast early around 7. They served ghee dosai, puri kezhangu, sambar vadai. Red chutney and coconut chutney tastes awesome and sambar was vera level taste.. We've to take the banana leaf after finished eating.

The proprietor exhibited rudeness, and the ghee dosa doesn't justify the buzz. Additionally, the ambiance lacks cleanliness. They are not worthy of even a single-star rating.I fell for their reviews on YouTube and ended up being misled.
