Awesome Man Mr. Vijay. He is a good friend of my Father-in-law. The way he serves and his employees serves are ultimate. I just tried plain dosa, that was very big in size and literally that was too good. Wishing Mr. Vijay and team to give food with more quality and love as they do now.

The image the hotel has is : "Cheap and best non veg mess" Unfortunately what I felt is . . It's totally a mess. . 1. Crowded (acceptable) 2. Poor service . ( The servers Will Won't even tell you what all options are available fully ) 3. Taste is AVERAGE. Most dishes are imperfect and carelessly made . Either salt is high . . Disproportionate masala ingredients. . Most dishes were served cold . 4. Items I tasted : A. Mutton Kola was horrible (over cooked, dry and cold ) B. Fish fry was good (100₹) C. Naatu Koli masala was Average and served cold . D. Naatu Koli kolambu was good . Rest all gravey was average . E. Rasam was good even though it's served cold . F. Egg podimass looked nice . I haven't tried . G. Even the omlette was served cold . Pre cooked and kept stocked. . 5. As expected the bill was cheap. 6. The beeda stall outside is Good. He's a nice guy. Just ok type restaurant. All gravies tastes same and not as expected. They said Koduva fish fry but it was not like sea fish. Not sure about mutton, chicken side dish items and biryanis. Overall one time you can visit and do not expect much as you see in the reviews here.

All quality preparation is like home. You will not be disturbed after eating anything here. I took fish and prawn. Super. Economically Good. Not too much fair. Once you ate, you will not go for any other mess.

One day I went to this mess sema pasi also I ordered non veg meals 130rs Good they will serve unlimited rice non veg gravies with 2 types of poriyal. Also they varieties of sides like Chiken gravy, Mutton & Fish with good taste. Parking is problem here.

I have visited here mostly but after a long gap I visited again kola was too good in this restaurant but now it was too hard like a rubber ball the gravy they provide was too bad. The best thing about this restaurant was the services all the servers were humble. They need to check and change their quality.

Once a good mess for non veg lovers now purely business....they only treat & serve food properly only if you order side dish...if not you will be served food as if you are eating in a free meal....the guy who serves rice, gravy keeps on insisting you to buy side dish.....if you are not about to order side dish they will make you have your meals in a hurry to reserve the seats for their elite customers(one who orders side dish)...owner often uses filthy words to their labours in front of the customers itself no ethical behaviour followed in this mess....think twice before entering the mess, by entering you will experience the above mentioned activities for sure....Pls think you are paying for what you consume it's not a freebie.

Overly hyped comments here.. Went there today to try some new place... 1. Salt was not rightly added in all kulambus. Some in excess and some in low 2. Ordered prawn. Server asked with or without gravy, i asked for semi gravy. He offered to give with gravy which i can mix it in rice and eat. Only when u try to pour it on rice, i realized, the quantity of prawns were really less 3. After second time of rice, the server didn't come near the table. Eventually finished the meal without rasam or butter milk The taste is poor, the experience is poor, the ambience is poor...

One of our favorite place. Won't miss the chance if visiting there whenever I get a chance to come to Trichy. Friendly owner brother who also serves as per customers need. Famous for non veg but I always visiting for breakfast as am vegetarian. Try out whenever there is a chance.

Don’t believe in YouTubers … I am from UK, I am in medical professional. In the beginning of my career, I was a chef in Taj Hotels (Tata) . After watching YouTube videos wanted to give a try. I have to honestly say, whatever said on you tube is a lie. I have tried from Star hotels to street food.. some of the street foods have impressed me, but Vijay Mess failed. Quality and taste is not that great. Better try some different street food for better… not worth the hype..

Must try place in Trichy for non-vegetarian lovers. The unlimited meal for Rs. 100 is nice. the gravy and curry are served and charged separately.
