Beautiful park with lot of butterflies and peacocks. Children activities were decent. The greenery was superb… Hope all parts of the park were operational and open for public use

Had a good time there. It was okay. Plants and flowers were good to sightsee. Saw some butterflies, peacocks, squirrels. There is a playground for children and also a small canteen which serves refreshments. Plan your visit during a cloudy day or when the sun is about to go down. Carry a water bottle with you. However the main attraction where there will be butterflies inside the enclosed building was closed and we could not enter.

Fantastic place for entertainment and learning. Be feel like Forest. ( Well maintained). One negative is Youngsters are simply using and damaging Children's park items with out any fear. Kindly arrange one caution board.

Beautiful place. It's far away from trichy and karur. The roads aren't good either but you can spend 4 hours here. Train ride inside the park is worth trying. The entry is 15 rupees only for adults. Two wheeler entry is 20 rupees , car parking for 30 rupees. There is only one hotel here and they cook amazing food. The roads are tough to ride. Carry an umbrella with you !

The best place to go for a picnic on the weekend. The ticket cost 15 rs. Now a days we can only see a few butterflies. There are nakshtra trees and games for kids and adults. canteen is also available. I will prefer to buy snacks outside, and you can take them inside. A battery train is available with a cost of Rs 50 per person.

A good spot to enjoy with kids. If the climate supports then it will be awesome as like the ooty kind of atmosphere. A parking lot is available also with a few shops to buy snacks. No food items are permitted inside. I mean if you pack something from your home for lunch or breakfast then those will not be permitted. It's like a private park since the journey takes you through a single road.

Such a serene place few kilometres away from Srirangam temple. As you head to this place from Srirangam, you will love traveling amidst the farms mostly with mango trees, coconut trees. It is a narrow way lying on the delta formed by Kaveri and Kollidam, with cool and gentle breeze wafting through the way. They charge a nominal entry ticket. You get to know more information about several species of butterflies, it is a best spot for photoshoot too. There is an amphitheatre located within the premises. At the ticket counter they sell a small booklet about the butterflies which provides a lot of info at just Rs.20.

It opened now,. I visited Thursday (14/01/2021). This park maintained by forest officer, definitely good. Again they are not allowing inside without Mask,if you are not carried mask cash counter itself they are offering the same with the. Cost.. this park need few additional maintenance in children area(few stuff broken) and no street light in car parking. Food is not allowed inside. Opposite to park hotel with snacks available. This park 6 km from Sri rangan temple. Rest room facilities are available inside the park itself. Special bus also available also government providing. Definitely good place for kids.

It's a good place envisioned and maintained by the forest department of Tamilnadu. Place is in the middle of a reserved forest. Has beautiful plants, butterflies and peacocks. When you walk over the string bridge in the park you can spot some fish and turtles as well. One gripe is the lack of digital India payment initiatives. They take cash only for entrance. Otherwise excellent place spend a late afternoon with your family.

It's one of the biggest park in Trichy with lot of greenary and children's garden with play area.. they say approx.300 odd types of butterflies can be seen here.. indoor butterfly center is there but it is closed. Trampoline, Columbus, bouncing jump, kids train are there at very less cost. Went to this place on 27th December 2020 Difficult to reach this place due to narrow road no frequent sign boards. Google Maps didn't help so asked the locals to reach the spot. The butterfly park has parking, snack shops, free drinking water. Good place to with kids. Lot of information related to butterflies. Walking is the only option inside this big park. (On the way to the Srirangam temple, the route starts. At one point there is a clear sign board directing towards the butterfly park)

Pleasantly surprised that there is such a massive green park with lush trees, plants and grass in Trichy. Felt like I was in Ooty botanical garden. This is a massive park that kids and parents can explore for minimum 2hrs. Plan your trip accordingly. Driving to the park is bit lengthy as the road is small and goes through residential streets. Paid parking is 20rs for car, located after the entrance of the park. Only disappointment is that half the play area equipment are broken. But the trampoline at 10rs for 5min is of very good entertainment value to small kids. Also includes a boat ride for kids in a shallow pond.

Maintained by Tamil Nadu Forest Department, very neat and best tourist spot in trichy district. As per the name of the park tons of butterflies are available in the park, lot of children games, mini train,water falls are good . Hats off to the Tamil Nadu Forest Department.

The place where I got disappointed more. I visited this place March19 2023. The climate was bit hot but manageable. There is no relationship between the name of the place and butterfly, It was like a big botanical garden. The place maintained poorly. The children park seems having issue, boating are was completely look like a stinky area. Perhaps I may be visited in wrong season so there is no butterfly but the park could have been maintained much better. My takeaways from this place, 1. Don't visit in summer 2. Don't visit afternoon 3. Before bringing your kids/family check with locals or someone or visit this place personally and then plan for family visit.

Good place to enjoy with greenish environment in the bank of river between Cauvery & Kollidam. It's situated in melur (8km from Srirangam). Uncountable butterflies are in and around the park. Specifically for children to enjoy their with small rides like swing, seasaw, train, air ballon and so on. Best place to take photoshoot if you are interested to take photo in greenish environment. As well, they are well maintaining the things & make the places always neat and clean. If you visit Trichy, definitely we can spend 2 to 3 hours without boring.

Periodically there is educational shows for children. We noticed many peacocks around and observed these peacocks are easy going with people around or near them. One concern is distance.
