Good food, Good hotel. Near Central bustand.Won't harm your stomach. One can get meals, special mixed rice. All tiffen items from idli, dosa,uthappam,onion.uthappam, chapathi,parotta, fried rice, veg biryani, naan, paneer dishes, Gobi dishes, stuffed paratha. Paneer tikka, paneer 65, coffee, tea , ice cream

Hands down one of the cleanest place to stay. The rooms were really clean and the bathrooms were too. Sheets were perfect not a stain of dirt or weird color we see in other hotels. Great hotels around to get food and very close to both railway station junction and bus stand. The prices were dead low (540 for a whole day). This is an absolute win win, definitely one the best place to stay in Trichy.

Worst experience I would say here. Never recommend this hotel or Dharamshala to anyone. The biggest problem is the attitude of the receptionist and the attendants. I went there and asked them to give room but they were literally not moving untill they constantly forced to fill details, entry first in the register and went for photocopy. I have been waiting there untill the process is completed. It was horrible experience, hotel industry is always polite. Then comes the rate charges which he asked to charged 500 extra in advance for the room including food. Then next strange thing is that there is no menu card in room, u have to go downstairs to the restaurant and eat there. Nothing will come to your room except tea, coffee, then why charged 500 extra??Location is good but what a waste... The whole system is arrogant. Further, the rates are quite high due to its royal location. Overall, I would say this place looks like a Dharamshala. It was my restriction to stay near Junction thts why opted this Ajanta hotel otherwise this hotel was also not coming on any online booking platforms. Worst. Never go there🙏

Vegetarian food was very tasty. Service was very good. Still maintaining their old world charm..As good as it was 40 years ago

Took lunch. Very tasty. Courteous service.Very clean. And reasonablly prized too. Couldn't get room accommodations this time, as they are fully booked. Hope to stay next time.

The hotel rooms are good and the restrooms were really spacious and clean... They had good hot water supply and it Is appreciable that we need not ask them to switch on the hot water supply nor should we use the geyser in our room...it's centralised and th water was piping hot The BEST PART IS FOOD their food is finger licking good and I'm an coimbatorian... Me saying this after eating in the most hyped annapoorna is justified coz this was easily the best breakfast I've ever have in my life. Little pricy but worth it . I'm definitely staying in Hotel Ajanta hereafter everytime I visit Trichy.

Hotel Ajanta Is the best restaurant for top-quality vegetarian meals and dishes, situated in the centre of town. The staff are very polite and friendly. They treat the guests as their family members and serve them with complete comfort and joy.

First time food experience in the hotel. Very rush might be due to sat night. But I had a tasty food for my entire family. Delayed a lot to receive the food, even the spl dosa roast.

The hotel serves sub standard meals as the rice is not fully boiled every time I visited the hotel. It creates heavy and bloated feeling in tummy. Better to avoid rice in this hotel.

One word: Astounding! A lot of restaurants should learn from Ajanta. Pros: ✅Excellent service. Waiters were prompt and they'll always give you extra portion without any hesitation whatsoever! ✅Amazing food! The Appam with coconut milk was the best one could ever ask for. ✅Consistency: Been here multiple times and the taste never changed. Not even a bit. ✅Price: Affordable and VFM even for a middle class family. ✅Non-diluted handwash and a clean wash area. Cons: ❌Drinking water did not taste mineralized. Fix this and you're numero uno!

Excellent food quality and the people who served the meals were so friendly. You can get the feel that a close family member is serving. In other hotels, you may find one person or another with bad mouth. But, the hotel staff were so lovely. Kudos to the food master, serving staff, cleaning staff and finally the management who provide nice feast at the best price. Couldn’t say more. Tummy full, heavily recommended.

Very good location , near Central busstand , nice vegetarian restaurant, we used to go there from my childhood , even now my kids go there when they want to have vegetarian food , but always crowded ,difficult to get place nowadays , even after many years they are maintaining the food taste , apart from that rooms are all old style. Neat and decent rooms for travellers. AC marriage hall is also available. They have regular customers for food as well as for lodging .

Food is generally consistently good. Sambar used to be very good but of late this is watery.. They should give right sized cutlery

Its a big property. They have their own restaurant which is great. Ample parking space available. The property is very old established in 1966. Hence, rooms are old styled with dim lighting but are clean. Good for one night stay. Located at bus stand there are many restaurants available nearby where to can go out and eat as well.

We visited the restaurant. The service must be improved. The waiters were not sure of orders and kept confusing the dishes served. Please provide water jugs for every table. It's annoying to take water jugs from another table each time

Very mediocre hotel. Located centrally, nearer to bus and train stations. Rooms are ancient begging for fresh painting, window AC generating enough noise to disturb sleep. Restaurant is good. Suited for those with limited budget and short stay of few jours. Ample parking space. No wifi connection 😭

It requires itself to wean away from the current state to its original glory.

The hotel rooms were comfortable, and the spacious and clean restrooms were a highlight. The convenient centralized hot water supply system ensured we didn't need to request or use individual geysers in our rooms, and the water was consistently piping hot. It's a great feature.

Rooms are very outdated as they are not renovated since long time. This gives more of a lodge feeling. Not comfortable bed, old mattress. If you are looking for comfortable place this is not the one

I had a dinner there. Food quality is excellent. Hidden gem to current era people of Trichy. Great vegetarian foods they are giving at affordable price. Lunch is also must try, their ghee and dhal is especially good in lunch menu. Ambience is great. Going before 9pm will be fine for trying many varieties.

This restaurant has been maintaining the food quality and service standards since ages. Not an easy thing. My grandpa, my dad and now me. That's 3 generations and the food quality is still authentic. Would be great if their rooms are renovated though they are clean.

Nice hotel......dishes properly cooked and hygiene service .........actually at times food at other hotels were causing acidity and some other problems for me... but in this hotel,,,,,no acidity food and no problems.....always my lovely hotel

Old 1966 inaugurated hotel.... But maintained well till date... Lights, fixtures updated. Overall good. But towels, shampoo, comb, brush not provided. Only water bottle and soap given. Ample parking space...

Today I have attended Tamilnadu State Senior Agriculture Forum TANSAF at Ajantha Hotel. Neatly maintained. Reception is good. Service is good. There are two medium halls where functions may be held. The hotel has the capacity to prepare special food and receipe for the function if warranted besides usual customers. The guests may be accommodated in the hotel for which 20 rooms are available. Lot of Car parking space is available. It is very nearer and walkable Distance from Railway Station and Central Bus Station which is very convenient for customers. Best wishes

The hotel is located within walking distance from the railway station and central bus stand. Food here is simply superb for vegetarians. Rooms are a bit old-fashioned,but neatly maintained.

The in-house restaurant is a top class. Many in Trichy might not be knowing this. Nominally priced and the AC dining ambience is really good
