Hi I stayed at the serviced apartment on 14-15 FEB 22. Booking ID: HTLDNAKWRFAT5BV9 I cannot say anything positive about the house, however I stayed there due to an emergency. Few things I observed during the stay. 1. The house keepers were using the washing machine and stove for their personal use. 2. Room (105) was very small, can't even walk inside. 3. Painting is faded and peeling. 4. Leakage in the taps, both bathroom and toilet. 5. Dustbins were broken. 6. The room boy (could be 65+) was not kind enough to offer water at arrival. 7. There was a big noise from neighboring roommates till 1AM. Totally, I ended up with an unpleasant stay. Advise: if you have no other options to stay in Thanjavur choose this place, otherwise don't mind spending Rs 200 extra to look out for a better place.

-Okish experience - 2&4 wheeler parking available - night security available - beds were not clean and no rug - hot water available for bath full time - nearby many veg/non veg food options available - it's located in recidencial area. Couples can try this stay too - receptionist is kind person - during night 2 wheelers can be parked inside the compound - Brihadeeswara Temple and Maratha Palace can be easily accessed from this location

Don't even consider staying in this property. WORST EXPERIENCE. The rooms are too untidy and insects all over the rooms. Mosquito godown. There were some foreigners booked the rooms and prepaid too. But the manager told that there is no rooms available and told them to get out without even explanation for why the foreigners can't stay in their rooms which they have paid for. They got no where to go in the night time.

Very friendly homestay place in Thanjavur. Also near to all important locations. Nice ambience and it's neat too.

Although rooms are bit small but 4 star for cleanliness . No car parking space

Went to check in since the rating was good, not at all worth, it's meant for low budget,around 800/- they may charge,not at all advisable for families

This is not good hotel to stay. You need to use different bath room for hot water which is located in ground floor. Room is not clean aswell. Not worh for money.

No hot water no cleaning no room service. Nothing. They have a hundi to collecting alms from tourists and named it as home stay.

Had a pleasant stay at Barnabas, the rooms was clean and worth the money. The owner and the caretaker was very friendly and helpful.

Such a worst room ....uff never Seen a room like this before ..we keep traveling frequently to somany places this the worst experience. So much of mosquito, and some small insects which irritated allot couldn't even sleep peacefully after a long journey. Forget about hot water there is no normal water for a bath. With the family or even with the frnds staying here is horrible. No water ,No security,rooms are worst with lot of mosquito, small flying insect , dustmaits, stains on cots and blankets. It will complete ruien your vacations.

One of the best homestay in and around Thanjavur city centre. We have enjoyed a lot during our stay. Very neat and clean. I would like to recommend to everyone whoever go to Thanjavur for tourist purpose. Kindly choose them. Kudos to the owner of the homestay for giving very smooth and transparent services 🥳

I have stayed in Barnabas in 2018. It was short but pleasant stay back then. Based on previous experience, I again booked from 18th November to 19 November 2023. 2 Rooms . 4 Adults. Booked from Expedia website I clearly mentioned my request, early morning checkin on 19th and evening checkout on 19th itself. I got a confirmation my Expedia also that , ur request has been noted. But no call from Hotel person. I tried to reach them many times, no response .some third party confirmed my booking on SMS. To my surprise , when I arrived at Barnabas Homestay on 19th Morning 6 am, the reception person ( some old age person) , said I have only 1 room booking for 19th and i should come after 10 am. I tried reaching the number who confirmed my booking on SMS, he also told my booking only for 1 room, u have selected pay at Hotel. I immediately shared him proofs that , I booked two rooms and I paid full payment on website itself. After that no response from the Hotel person. After long arguing, the reception person, gave 1 room which was very tiny. He said, other room he will give at 10 am only. I called the hOtel person and that third party almost 25 times. No response at all from them. Since there was no option we adjusted in that 1 tiny room, got freshned up and went on our work. We came back at 2 pm. Still now no call back from Hotel person. On returning at 2 pm, reception person gave another room, which was having 2 bedrooms with single washroom. We settled down. Took some rest and checked out 5 pm. The frustration and discomfort my family went through yesterday at Barnabas is extreme. I hope no other family suffers like that again. My suggestions...Pls avoid this hotel.

The property looks bit compact from outside, but rooms are far more luxurious than a 3 star hotel. Located very nearer to main road. No restrarent attached, need to walk 5-10 min for a good restrarent. It was a family trip, 3 families - 5 adults and 2 kids accommodated in 2 rooms, also annuxer room available

Neither feels like a home, nor worth staying. Forget staying, you can't even enter the rooms. Even before the property manager welcomes you, bed bugs (you can smell it. If you still continue, be ready to lose your sleep - for days and months to come), mosquitoes (a lot) and fungul infections all over embrace you to trouble for life. NEVER even try to visit. If at all anyone wants to book because of the low charges, please visit and then decide. I'm sure you will back out. Worst experience
