    Good....The lady is sitting outside the Matam...Casually talking to her, one is struck by her admirable independent attitude...At the reported age of 98, she earns her livelihood by selling bilwa and tulasi leaves....She lives separate from her three sons and one daughter...with a firm will to stand on own legs....Daily morning she starts her sales by 4 am for devotees to buy....and makes between a hundred and two hundred ...sufficient for her food and maintenance....Cool, composed and self confident she goes about her pavement shop...There are many such firm willed and self sufficient senior citizens in Srirangam...It is for us to respect people like her, who are on their own legs..
