For public awareness: Two days back my brother went to Athma for Deaddiction treatment. Upon arrival he was seen by a counselor who got all his personal details and forwarded him to a doctor for consultation. The dr prescribed medication and send him home to come when ready for admission as he needs to have a attender with him 24/7 for the first 2 days when he undergoes detoxification. When we asked for the expenses we were told that all information will be given when you come to get admitted. So on that for getting this info we paid Rs. 1040 as consulting fee. One day after he went again with an attender to get admitted and asked for the procedure. One of the doctors advised that initially him and the attender both have to get tested for COVID and then they have to stay in for 3 days to detox ( initially advised 2 days) and then after day 3 he will be sent to deaddiction center. Fee structure he told us for detox are as follows: COVID testing - Rs. 5000 (Rs. 2500 per person) Accomodation - Rs. 15,000 (Rs. 5000 per day) Food - Rs. 4200 (Rs. 700 per person per day) Apart from this he will billed separately for medicines, blood tests and extras. After 3 days he will be moved to deaadiction unit for that he has to pay Rs. 50,000 as deposit and after 30 days of treatment they will work out and will tell us the final bill. So my brother told them that he will come once prepared financially. The best part of it is, just for giving the info above they charged Rs.450 as consulting fee. People go to deaddiction or other mental health related treatment mostly after losing all their hope and trying to find a way to get some light for their life. You don’t have to treat them for free but what they list here in Athma is totally atrocious. “தமிழ்ல சொல்லனும்னா.. இதற்கு பெயர் பகல் கொள்ளை” Note: I rated them with one star only because for me to comment. Unable to comment with zero star.

Treatment is good .. but reception & Doctors attenders service was very poor ... They treated like a slave ... First I already spoke in English they did not reply. I think they don't know English .. what a beautiful reception. I think your hospital is not having general manager & floor manager ..

Athma is good corporate hospital. But nowadays I am seeing some persons wearing 1/4pant in your hospital. I asked your staffs.. They are Muslims.. Is it a religious hospital.. The best psychiatric hospitals in trichy. Experienced doctors and very approachable. In patients department takes care of the patients very well. They diagnose the root case of the problem and provide the appropriate treatment. Overall awesome experience.

Counselling expert's treatment is very good. They are kind to the patients. Best place to protect our mental health. Very worst hospital. I have ever seened before like this hospital. They are imitating like irritation. All they are gaving we a token and not at all following the rules and regulations. And also If we came early in the morning. We will go outside at night time. Also they are getting too high cost for the general checkup. So. The people don't come and wait this hospital. This is full of waste of time. Even they are giving token for the pharmacy also. If the pharmacy is not to crowd means also. And main thing they are talk like some professionals but they don't know tell the solution.

Genuine Review Registration and first consultation Fees : Its very high. Rs. 1200 during the first visit for a counsellor and Doctor consultation Reception and staffs : Approachable and few staffs are really kind and helping to patients Infra : Its average and not up to the best for the amount people spent there. Waiting time : Its 2 to 5 hours during weekends and moderate in weekdays TREATMENT : COUNSELLOR AND DOCTORS ARE REALLY GOOD IN TERMS OF IDENTIFYING OUR PROBLEMS AND PROVIDING GOOD TREATMENT I provided 3 stars only for the charges which are very high for each and everything.

Hospital for Mental Health with good facilities including Admission & other Treatments like ECT , in Trichy. Counselling is available for all patients , but not useful if you want counselling to best. Here are for patients to understand , know & getting feedback from patients. Since it is the one of very few hospital with facility , you will have to wait long time (3~8 hrs) depending on the Day. Can't expect courteous/good , interaction/reply with Staff ,coz they face many people & patients with situation. Drinking, Bathroom facility is available for all & food (avg) for admitted patients. But you can sure shot to here to get good ,needed medical service with Lab, Pharmacy,Bed, Required equipment like ECG ,ECT , under Anathesian supervision and Quality Doctors

Patients beds are not well. Food is provide in only steel plates. so, please used in banana leaf under the food in steel plate. Hospital employee services are very good.

Your hospital treatment is good. But people approach of reception level is worst. Your hospital is not having any general manager or pro. No body knows about these people. If this level for your new hospital is opened.. Try to improve your reception quality and appoint good people and appoint one good GM.

First of all thanks for all the staff members, doctors and counsellors for their hospitality. They took care of me very well like a family and never felt like a patient. I have never ever thought I would recover from this problem but with the help of Dr. Arunkumar and counsellor Nirmala devi, I have recovered and gained my confidence again. Good care by the doctors & nursing staff. Good inpatient facilities. Food could be a little less spicy . The cleaning staff talk very loudly on the corridors which could be avoided because the patients who are already in an agitated state cant reat well . Overall I would suggest anybody to consult Atma hospitals doctors for consultation & treatment. They are the best in trichy . Their service is excellent.

Making us waiting for more than 5 hours. We checked for the doctors available time and they said 11am after reaching they are saying doctor will be available post 6pm... We have came long distance and they are making such mistakes is very irritable...

I am an intern in this hospital. I am having a great experience working with the staffs. They all are supportive and encouraging. We have classes as well, which opens our understanding and concepts of each disorders.

Very emphatic and behaved staff. Dr Geetha is treating my father and his medication has truly helped us. The doctors are interested in treating the patients and for which they will guide you for other experts consultants too. They wont try to get hold of the patient. The hospital too is well maintained nd hygienic.

Extremely happy with the treatment provided. What was quite surprising was the personal care they had ensured during our treatment period. We had been trying out different treatments for 5.5 years for Anxiety Neurosis, but nothing helped. Responce from reception and all areas in hospital was very slow...need improvement and need to give clear directions...if new patient came...they treat like goverment hospital...like u wait/go and sit dont stand here...u will be called like that...and fees of new patient is 1350rs..that blows my mind...what u gonna do with that 1350rs..its not simple for one consultation...and pt and many of them dont aware...1350rs 1 day 2 days salary for many people...need to consider to revise fee... They dont provide any special service for that 1350rs They do counselling, new chart + 2 books given, BP ,height,weight, CBG monitoring these all cost that much...please revise for reasonable doctor fee for new patient😧☹️

Consulted a psychologist. Before consulting the psychologist, we were directed to meet a counsellor, who clearly noticed the information about the problem about an hour more life a family member. After that we met the M.D(PSY) DOCTOR who prescribed the appropriate medicines for the problems. Overall caring is awesome. A stress-free consulting is guaranteed. :)

Iam an MSW (medical & psychiatry) student, I have conducted my one month internship in Athma Hospital Trichy Under the supervision of Ms. J.Nirmaladevi ( Dpt Co-ordinator and counsellor of Athma Hospital) and Mr.Pragatheeswaran MSW (Head of the department of social work dept). For me it was a great opportunity, because I learned alot from this hospital regarding psychiatry, how to handle patients, how to approach their family etc.. In my experience it's the first time a hospital is providing an opportunity to deal with patients directly. Supervising was very good , instant correction a done if it is required.. psychiatrists are also very co-operative with the interns. I was so happy to say that I have done my internship in a very good institute, and it was very worth-full for me. Worst....worst....worst....This hospital is worst in appointments,they will not co-ordinate good,suppose you made a call for appointments they will tell one time,if you go in that time not even doctor will not come.6 to 10 hours you have to wait. Such a worst hospital,And they are treating the patients like anything.There are lot of hospitals in the city and in tamilnadu.Staff behaviour also worst.kindly avoid this hospital,if u need better treatment.
