All are grain items. Whole grain biscuits, breads and cookies are available. Taste is different, but not to the core. Bunly, parozza etc., names are different but the items tastes good.

Healthy traditional snacks and tiffin along with very good coffee / tea. Children are engaged with colouring activities and games like jumping, Basket ball etc. Packed snacks in the name of Akarai like biscuits, bread, cakes are also very good and tasty. All the staff are women from local area and they are very much involved in their job with dedication and customer care. Impressed by the women empowerment in the place. Seating arrangements are good in the outdoor environment. Self service is practiced and water is available in a common pot.Area of improvement includes providing water jug and tumbler / mug in the dining tables as there is only one water mug available for the entire place and it is difficult to carry the only available tumbler / mug from the common pot to the table and keep it again in the place back especially in the case of parents with their kids

Unique dishes and tasty too. However cleanliness is lacking a bit. When we visited for lunch (Nov 2021), all tables including the cooking place were full of house flies. Probably it was next day of deepavali but it was disappointing. Millet rice (குதிரைவாலி) with plantain stem (வாழைத்தண்டு) and drumstick leaves (முருங்கைக்கீரை) was delicious and unique. Chapathi wrap (parozza) and kothu-parotta were aptly spiced. Children would love to have. Bunly was delicious. Chocolate sauce and the soft core were very good. Natural kulfi and Brownie with ice cream were tasty as well. Overall a welcome departure from typical Tamilnadu-style full course lunch and a good concept in Madurai.

Tried everything on the menu.Each dish was unique and taste was too good. Everything is made of organic product. Must try restaurent. A nice place to hang out with our kids.

Different type of menu. Service quick. Entertainment for children present. Use dried leaf plate. Food tasty. Hand washing and toilet are available. Pure vegetarian. Worth to visit. Only women staff.

Well, I didn't knew about it until I went there today. Didn't expected a Quick Chai Point of this sort in the lonely loaclity. Coffee was at its best. Dosa was nice. The ambience is wonderful reminding us of old times. Also, not to forget a small basketball layout also there to try out hands at the game. Ice-Cream parlour and bakery also present by the side.

Beautiful ambience, very spacious, well ventilated, nutrition infused modern foods. Well mannered, almost all women staff. Ample parking space, a good place to catch up with friends for an evening tea with a nutritious snack.

One of the best places in Madurai for quality bakery food. Not only that, it's also great for winding down, meeting up with people, and even working. Basically a down-to-earth version of Starbucks. It has ample parking space, activities for children, and varieties of food and snacks. A beauty, the place is.

Terrible taste.. It was a bad experience I travelled all the way from kochadai to this place around 12kms.. except Bunly thumbs down for all dishes. Icecream was completely adulturated, parozza was pathetic. Ordered dosa for my kid and received a worst one.. dosa was hard, sambar was like yello water. Staffs were too lethargic to receive customers. We tried eating all the dish to see if something was good. Finally spent 900 here and nothing was good.. halwa, dosa, parozza really a nightmare. Never planning to cross that place in future.

Hi, Really nice environment and tasty food. But staff in kitchen one with SpaceX not behaving well. Always the face like why are you people coming to eat. Arrogant reactions in face. Please teach your staff to behave well. We are coming for food. Because it's tasty and nice environment. Thank you

Had kunkuma poo kulfi ok taste . they are using natural items which is good we can feel the flavour but it's not like normal ice creams taste is different

We've been customers of Thinnai for nearly 7 years now. I love their carefully curated healthy menu, the warm service of the Akka's (it's a women run shop), their attention to sustainable materials and the ambience. It's open and very simple, has so much natuallight and air. I have tried every single item in their over the years and like each one of them, favourites are North Indian Parozza, fresh salad, sweet corn millet rice, coconut payasam and brownie with salted caramel icecream. It's the only place my husband and I trusted during my pregnancy, for everything is freshly cooked and no preservatives added. It's nice to see how some places grow into you. Thank you Team Thinnai, will keep visiting.

Love this place so much. Seriously a great place for healthy options . Food items are simple, fresh and very healthy.. even bakery items and icecreams have healthy options.. good and open decent ambience.. price is a bit high but the healthier ingredients make it reasonable..
