Edible bananas are the result of a genetic accident in nature that created the seedless fruit we enjoy today. The familiar bright yellow Cavendish banana is ubiquitous in supermarkets and fruit bowls, but it is in imminent danger. The fungus Pseudocercospora fijiensis attacks the plants’ leaves, causing cell death that affects photosynthesis and leads to a reduction in fruit production and quality. We are Indians support our local farmers promote traditional cultivation of banana.... are else we are not born for Indian forefathers....

Irresponsible organisations like these are the blot on our society. They have a website, also have a contact number. But, no one to answer the querries throwing tantrums at the person enquiring. These very institutions in the name of research get huge government funding and do great disservice to the nation and the ordinary citizens seeking guidence and help from them. they treat the outsiders as dirt.

Research centre for banana. Very helpful for farmers to test their land soil. Good maintenance. Good place for agriculture research.

ICAR - National Research Centre For Banana really good research centre. They having good worthy knowledgeable people to do the research work. As a farmer I am very much satisfied with the varieties they have. The short poovan and short karpuravalli is really good and safe. The yield is also satisfactory. The staff are so kind and humble.

A great initiative visited on National Science Day. It was well organized. The crowd was efficiently managed. All the exhibits were explained elaborately. Kudos to all the staff.
