You have to reach the falls by boat from Karayar dam reservoir. It was a hot day at the beginning of another Summer. We are lucky there was no crowd when we reached there we were the only people. The water falling on the head is similar to someone hitting with a hard pillow and slapping on the shoulders with sattai and the funny part is you still feel good. It was one of the best falls i visited and thanks to low crowd

Banatheertham Falls located inside the picturesque Karaiyar Dam in Thirunelveli district is a natural cascading waterfalls situated at Kalakad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve. The medicinal property of the water is acclaimed and it is believed that the legendary sage Agasthiyar wandered here in search of rich herbs found in this forest. It is a great place to take herbal bath flowing from the healing waters of Agasthiyamala Biosphere Reserve.

This is my world's beautiful place, which I never and ever forget. Heaven of waterfall. When you drink water you didn't feel your drinking water that much softness and coolness that makes it feel like spiritual water. I'm waiting to reopen this place.

Jeep ride from Manimuthar range office. Costs 500 per adult and 250 for kids.. Jeep ride is 12 km one way and goes off road after Sorimuthu Ayyanar temple. Overall good experience, there isnt much wildlife to spot.. Drive around Karaiyar dam was scenic and the waterfalls was viewable from little far.. Boat ride or bathing in waterfalls is not allowed. Restrooms are very clean in the range office, there are refreshments available to buy till 4PM.

Paana Theertham waterfalls is located at above the Karaayar Dam near Papanasam. It is terrific tourist place in Pabanasam. We can visit with family and spent lots of time here. Water is very clear and pure. We can bath in waterfalls. This is best spot for Nature Lovers. Shopping is not possible here. Some tea shop only available to foodies. Parking is here, but cloak room, public toilet and dress changing room facilities is not available here. Bike, Car, Van and Auto vehicle is best to travel here. Without own transport journey is very hard to reach this place and waste your time to waiting for public transport.
