There are many games showcasing the scientific principles but most of them are not in good or working conditions. Just you can go there to get some shade and breeze. The entry ticket rate is Rs.25 for adults.

After almost ten years I visited the science center last week. In the entrance, they gave us polythene gloves. The place is not so tidy. Due to the virus outbreak, the switches for each scientific experiment are replaced by motion sensors. Most of them didn't work properly. When I queried one of the staffs, she said that the visiting children broke the sensors by pressing them so hard and they had to replace them everyday. So, kind request to parents to take care of it and teach the children how to use the sensors. This place is definitely a paradise for science nerds. There is a children's park outside the main building. You can also find little hamsters and birds. P.S: Planetarium (கோளரங்கம்) is closed.

Excellent park in the town of tirunelveli. They have a good indoor science center where kids can try out experiments in the setup. The mirror center in second floor was nice with lot of setups with mirrors. The outdoor park is alao good with some science experiments and a nice play area for kids. There is a dinosaur park with some dinosaur statues. Entry fee is nominal (20rs per head).

The Science Centre has four galleries on the topics ‘Fun Science’, ‘Popular Science’, ‘Electronics’ and a ‘New Wing of Electronics’. The Centre also has a 3D Theatre, Television Studio and Pre-historic Park. The Mirror Magic Corner is an added attraction of the Centre. The Digital Planetarium of the Centre attracts the visitors to the wonders of Astronomy. The Centre also operates a Mobile Science Exhibition bus since 1988 which tours to the interiors of Tamil Nadu spreading the message of Science.

Good place for a curious mind and good for kids to play and learn. Closing time at 6pm. You have a park, electrical lab and electronics lab. Very near to Tirunelveli railway station. The place is very well connected with the bus stop of both private and govt buses.

Beautiful park (not a science centre) A lot of science items are not working.. When I saw the review, people complained about it years ago. Still nothing has changed. Afterall it's a government place. what to expect from those employees. 9 to 5 pm job. I have uploaded just sample pics. If you ask these people, they will simply answer 'Public is breaking the items'. When they are getting crores of funds, who knows where it goes.

An Amazing Place, it was my first time going in any science museum, having so many modules of researches which ever happened. So many science invention modules available there, which you can use, Amazing 3D show, and Main part of this Musium was Planterium Show, so if you are going there you must see this show, really amazing, this show will take you in Sky(feels like), will show the Galaxy, Satellites, Monuments etc etc. Having a big park, where you can see Variety of Birds, so many small rabbits, one side so many dinasore also. So nice place to visit.

You don't have much choice for kids in Tirunelveli. They still keep the 90's instruments and models. Few new things like electronic is something at 2k standards. You find see anything about Robotics, AI , IOT etc. Just an park with some thing to learn about science. Planetarium just runs for 15mins show time. Much less than Bangalore shows hours. Ambience technology shows timings should improve.

Thus science centre is a central government organisations and it is really a nice place to be visited by both children and adults. Lot of scientific innovations are in display and you love to see them with great enthusiasm.This centre is open on all days including holidays.It will take around 3 hours to see and lear about the scientific models in display. The three D shows are conducted at some specific timings at the centre. Only negative feedback is that the maintenance of the centre and the campus is not up to the mark.

Visited here as a tourist from Chennai it was a nice museum with lot of this to explore and to learn . located at city center easy to access from any part of the city but when i visited i saw people they are not making use of government property and detroying it (Not many but some) People do use the opportunity you got to learn...

It was supposed to be educating and entertainment place. But, there is no proper maintenance for the science models. Only the outdoor gardens are nice and you can actually have a pleasant environment.

One of the go to places in tirunelveli for small picnics. Cause tirunelveli main city doesn't have much places to relax in peace except science center and nellaiappar temple. Located in kokkirakulam, with ample parking space in front of the compound. Entry fee is 20rs per person. You have to pay separately for 3d show and planetarium show. Each 25rs. Old complex with lots and lots of models explaining physics, electronics and science related topics. Few sections in the beginning are well maintained. But otherwise the centre lacks good maintenance overall. The models in outside area looks aged and also the prehistoric dinosaur park looks like it's attacked by a cyclone. Better maintenance and one upgrade to latest technologies will definitely boost this place. Planetarium - it's the same since I went here in school days. The cushions were smelling so bad as if they haven't been washed in ages. However the show was good and short - 15mins. The 3d show was good. Although the seats don't move, the screening and effect was good. And the room was well maintained. Couldnt find anything to eat inside the complex so better visit there with snacks. Area is shady and filled with trees. So u can find lot of lovers there. Once you are out Only a sugarcane juice shop and a street vendor selling some oily snacks will be outside the complex.

Nice place to bring kids. Well maintained and there are informative play items that teach science. Loved the prehistoric park with many dinosaur models that move and make sound. The plants in this section are also carefully selected to suit the prehistoric times. The planetarium and 3d show were closed due to covid restrictions when we visited. A must visit place for children to kindle scientific temper in the young minds.

A great place for children to learn science the interesting way. The planetorium is good. Saturday evening 7 to 8 pm they have sky gazing through telescope if sky is clear. Can spend 2 hours minimum..good spot to sit and chat a decent canteen for quick bites. Lots of trees and some animals in cages also.

Some physics experiments and mobile networking concepts are explained in very good manner. the garden also clean and it's playing area also well maintained. few snacks and Tea available in canteen. Inside of the Science Centre a glass maze 🎮🎮🎮 games available. 🔊🔊🔊🔊Audio and visual shows available but it may be under maintenance during our visit. The children's can spend 2 to 3 hours. Most of the areas in this Science Centre is wheel chair accessible. The toilet also available with wheel chair accessible.

Lot of Maintenance needed as many equipment’s not working. Park area and Children’s play area is somewhat good. Please provide ceiling fans in all the areas as we were sweating inside the building.

Pros: There are several scientific things explained here. Kids who are in 7 to 9th grade may find useful here. There is no other place like this in south TN. Cons: No safety for kids. It's becoming like a lover's park. No controls and no social distance maintained No mask required. They didn't maintain things well and rust started growing.

The only place with a greenish environment within the city. But, it's not maintained properly. Garbage everywhere. People must not drop the garbage wherever they like. They must act with responsibility.

I was surprised by this place.. Wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be great!! It has a big garden with some pet animals and birds to view.. It also has some science related toys you can play with.. The building is where most of the other science stuff lies and it's a nice place for your kids.. Definitely recommended.. It has park ,3D theater and lots of scientific experimental things were there😇. But some are not working 😕. But still we enjoyed a lot ☺️. My best ever place there is mirror magic room . It was awesome 👌. I just loved it . If you want to go with your family you can choose this place 😇 . Canteen and restroom facilities also there .

It's a well maintained government facility. Good place for young minds who are facinated by science. They have many experiential learning activities for kids where they can understand logic behind various aspects of science. Many attractions are base on laws of physics chemistry & morden technology. One suggestion some of the attraction needs maintanence which are not working.

The place is poorly maintained. Shows signs of a center that was started with the right intent and fell out midway. Most of the exhibits don't work. Definitely needs a lot of rework. The 3D show was an abomination! Hardly educational and failed to be the gimmicky exhibition it was intended to be

A very useful place for kids. You get to see all physics experiments from a very basic thing to higher standards not only inside the rooms but also in the garden area too. Very small kids can have fun in the play area and park zone. The complete park area is very green and pleasant. The locals visit this place for small picnic plans. They have a small canteen as well.
