Superb picnic spot. Everyone must visit. Children park is available. Even a small kid can enjoy as the river is 2 to 3 ft depth only. So safety is ensured. Dress change room is available. Daily morning at 8 they will allow to enter. Yes. Entry fee is applicable for persons visiting and for the vehicle. Please do not carry plastic bags. They will prevent.

From kalakkad 8 km. Small checkpost at the entrance, to collect entrance fees for travelers and vehicles. From check post 10 minutes drive inside the forest. It's a kalakkad mundanthurai tiger reserve forest in the western ghats. Amazing experience for the all age groups. Crystal clear chill river of four to five feet depth, with a checkdam, wooden bridge Avoid plastic bags container shampoo oil and soap. Take the food in a metal container or on paper. Timings 8 to 4.

Had it not been for hundreds of tourists making hell of a racket, the Park would have been nice. The wood house we took was so very basic and paid Rs.2900 (tax included). I would strongly advice anyone paying online to ensure that you are paying for the right cottage...for, I locked in for an AC room and paid the amount suggested but the receipt came for a different place and therefore, stuck with it!

Visit to this place requires special permission from the forest department. Heaven for photographers. This is untouched by humanity so far and maintains its charm.... When I was there unexpectedly there's a flood in the river and Forest officers there came and move out from the river to get safe .. and we aware of that and move ahead .. There's also lot of Monkeys in the Park area

Beautiful place for refreshing walk and bath. Please don't use any think for bath, the nature does all, just feel and relax the nature's beauty. Local tribes made wonderful wooden bridge.

Wonderful experience for all age groups, crystal clear water, very chill with herbal mixed, very safe, very clean environment, but Forest department road very worst, fees are normal, forest department police man very good and very helpful.

Beautiful place to take bath now they are allowing to take bath in the forest river inside the arch like trees in both the banks of the stream. Have to travel in Reserve Forest fir around 4 km from the town. Can go with family it is entirely safe and there is a children's park for playing. The water is a natural pure fresh and especially a clean chilled water. Take a fresh breath in the clean atmosphere enajoy and be with nature naturally...

1. Nice place for bathing. 2. Water is so clean you can the below area 3. Small falls available where in we can take bath 4. Small kids play area available 5. One mini acquairum and Sculptures (Snake, Rabit, giraffe etc). Available 6. We can reach by your vehicle 7. Not recommended visiting during the rainy season as there is a possibility of floods in very short duration 8. One old bridge which are made of wood is available can be tried for little thrill experience Overall small waterfalls with kids play area.

Gates open at 9 am and close by 3 pm. No entry apart from these times. Tickets can be purchased at the entry point. No plastics, food etc are allowed. Changing rooms available (a bit dilapidated but manageable). Roads to the location are decent. The thalayanai is a stream checkdam in a scenic location. There is nothing else but the stream. The stream is very clean and is shallow as well so kids can enjoy. The location offers a lot of biodiversity. We sighted grey jungle fowl, indian giant squirrel, a bunch of other birds, butterflies, damselflies, moths and loads of fresh water fishes and crabs. Cons: People. People who trash the reserve forest with liquor bottles and food packets. Despite the forest department checks, people smuggle and trash it there. Overcrowded during weekends. Overall, a neat place to chill and have a dip.

Road leading to this place from Kalakad is bumpy for about 5 km. Forest department collects entry fee for visitors and vehicles. It is ₹30 for adult and ₹20 for two wheeler. Local society responsible for maintenance(park, toilets and dressing room) in and around check dam collects ₹10 per person. Stream water is very pure and cold. It is a picnic place for locals. People mainly visit this place to take bath in stream and to have food beside the stream(sitting on the rocks) Children play area(park) is available. View of stream and check dam is awesome from wooden bridge.

Enjoyable place. I've got amazing memories of this place. We stayed one day here. Rooms available per head cost Rs 400. You should book rooms online. We saw deer and wild boar at night near our booked rooms.

It's a nice jungle experience. We can bath even falls and running water, ladies' full dress and gents half dress ( shorts or towel) compulsory. Shop and shampoo are strictly not allowed. Must go place ..Worth for every second we spend here .. need to take care of ur goodies by yourself from monkeys and little worms.. don't littere the placgo with friends and families and have fun.. kindly oblige the rules

Amazing place to enjoy nature and river along with family. Although there isn't appropriate place for parking or having food but being close nature nullifies everything else.

Great palce to visit, even in summer the water was too cold, Great place to visit with family. Well maintained and protected by guards. For entry fee they collect 40rs per person but actually it cost only 10rs per person as per the entry tickets they provide. And 20rs for per bike for which no recepit is provided.however we don't wanted to spoil our trip so we didn't argue. Other than this the place was awesome.

Plastics, shampoo and other beverages in plastic containers not allowed. There is also a dormitory available for rent. Place is quiet, beautiful and full of greeneries.

On weekends, this is one of the best places to go with your family. Because it is located in the forest, the water is very clean, and shampoo, soap, and oils are not permitted. Please come here early in the morning to enjoy the Water chillness. There are no bus services available here. As a result, you must travel on your own. The forest guards are extremely helpful and friendly. Bike and car parking is available on the premises. Because there is no food store nearby, you must bring your own food.

God' creation is always more beautiful than man's creation... It is very awesome place for nothing and mind relax.... Entry fee is as of now Rs.40 for Adult and Rs.50 for car.... It may change in future..

I visited today with my cousins.Its just awesome experience and have lot of funs with the stream The highlight one is thewater purity is cen percentage crystal clear..... Kinda better relaxation for weekend 😃
