Such a wonderful hidden spot in kanyakumari reserve forest area. Many of even Kanyakumari people unaware of this place. Actually there is two water falls once is Kodaiyar ( Irattai aruvi) the other one is Kuttiyar. The route is thuckalay Kulasekaran - pechiparai - kodaiyar . There is a entry ticket at check post 30 rs per person 40 rs per car. Irattai aruvi is comfortable place for enjoying falls for aged people and ladies to reach . But the real thrill is kuttiyar which s little harder to reach. We need to walk through the water stream to reach the falls. Fresh fish available for eat while enter into the kuttiyar bridge. ( Sunday not available). The water is so fresh to bath . Beware of flash floods during rainy season. Have to reach earlier and leave from there before 4 pm. Animals may come at later evening for drinking water. Safest place for family , protected by local people as well as forest department.

Best and quiet place to hangout. Wonderful atmosphere, and you will feel like you are in one with nature. It is not so easy to find. You can access it only via bike or 4 wheel drive for the initial 1 KM and from there you have to trek 300 meter to get to the falls. Not a best place for family and kids. As about the falls, it's fabulous like a combination of pool and falls. Would love to visit again.

Kuttiyar is a awesome falls in lower kodayar. Nice place to enjoy with friends.❤️ this is evergreen place in kanyakumari best time to visit is.. during rain or after rain.. you can watch the foggy mountains, many water streams. Need small trekking in mountain for 200 meters if travelled by bike. Few places are steep and slipery. Apart from it a big falls. Also has danger if kothayar dams shutter is opened to send water to pechiparai dam falls will be flooded in minutes. Dangerous nature

this is a pure and untouched area. You can have the entire falls to yourself.

Several falls are there inside to that of kanyakumari wildlife sanctuary. It is just one of that kind. As this waterfalls is situated inside to that of the reserved forest area, it is not that much easily assesable. From pechiparai forest checkpost, one needs to travel about 30 mins in a vehichle to reach this place. This falls is exactly situated nearby to a village called kuttiyar, where workers of government rubber plantations are living. It's better to be here in the month between July and December as when summer prevails water flow will be very low.

Super natural falls situated in kuttiyar village. .....we need to go only by walk....full of nature place.. nice place for photography..... nice mountains.... good scenery....dark forest... Wild animals are there.. tourist attraction place...... finding this falls is risk ...... nice place.... good place.... nature place.....

Good place to visit with family

You have to walk a lot amidst sturdy path filled with huge slippery rocks and some waterpaths in between.Waterfalls is an amazing view not to be missed.One side of the waterfall is a little bit more depth compared to the other side,so be cautious while swimming.Better be careful than being sorry for.Nice relaxing and peaceful with sound of nature .Hidden gem of Kanniyakumari district.
