Actually I gone to temple and took some time with other work and standing for an hour in the queue.. and for ladies have separate queue.. actually standing in a queue for halwa is too much.. but i did.. for bought halwa in iruttukadai we have to.. nearby so many sweet shops are there.. but no one is buying there.. just standing in front of that other sweet shop and blocking thier shop and buying in iruttukadai.. haha.. AND TILL NOW IRUTTUKADAI SHOP DOESN'T KEEP EVEN A BOARD FOR DISPLAY.. CLOSED WITH SIMPLE OLD WOODEN DOORS , whatever does it matter for us.. it's famous.. no other go.. it's simplicity.. And really the time I spent to buy this iruttukadai halwa alone .. I could say.. The BEST.. it's worth it. No where you could get this taste. It's reaaaalllyyyy delicioussssssss....

We have purchased halwa here during a Saturday at around 5pm after waiting for an hour. But the halwa given by them seems to be prepared at least a day before. It was not even hot. My suggestion is never waste your time at this halwa kadai. You can get hot halwa at many other different shops at tirunelveli. Their quality is no longer a wow shop.

We bought our halwa at nearly 6.30pm shop was slight busy and crowded. Taste of the halwa was realy awesome but ghee is too high. Cost is 240 per kg. Note. Person who hates ghee dont buy it🙏

Quality and taste is not good as earlier. Shanthi and Lakshmi sweets halwa much better than this. Refer iruttukadai kadai halwa.. Bought at 5:20pm, 19-Mar-23. Eat at 11am 20-Mar-23. But quality and taste not at good.

It's very famous but Sunday closed...so I couldn't buy here...so I can't provide rating....so I purchased halwa from Visagam store 10 to 15 shop after that, suggested by a neighbor shop keeper....that was also good....but I disappointed to missed to get from that iconic store.

The experience was fun to purchase halwa from Iruttukadai shop. The queue started at 4 pm and the shop opened around 4:45. The packing was neat and ready for the quantity that you need and billing was ready as well. On an average one had to spend around 30 minutes. The quality of Halwa is still the same over the years.

Taste wise good but when the management changes to modern trends the attitude of the new owner changes . No respect for customers. The old owner and employees treated the customers with good respect and listened to them,but now it's totally changed. Most of the other districts customers might have faced this. Visit shanthi sweets and Lakshmi sweets and learn how to treat customers. Though we see a lot of duplicate shanthi sweets, they too show wide respect to customers. Getting popular takes many years but getting a bad name will take a few seconds. Note: I am a native tirunelveli person and I have noted this issue multiple times while visiting town and the shop recently.

Great quality product.. Taste never changed across years.. Store opens from 5pm in the evening and a long queue is expected always. But don't worry, you can buy in 10 to 15 minutes wait period. The shop closes at 7pm in the evening. If you miss to buy here, you could still get it in their family shop named Visalam sweet stall (shop no 40). No Gpay or any UPI mode of payment unavailability is still a concern. They get only cash and you can get packets only in 500g or 1kg pack. There is no limit for one person to buy. Earlier they had the standard of 2kg per person. Now its not like that. Great shop and a remarkable landmark.

Too much sugar and deposited ghee type sweet. Bought 500g pack/Rs150 (packed 2 days before) after 30 minutes waited in the Q. People started forming the Q by 4.15 PM and shop open by 5.15 PM . Police came to minimize the traffic jam in the area. But not worthy for waiting such long time to buy 2 days old packs. It can be sold at anytime. Y in the evening? Don’t know. Also the taste isn’t that much worth.

The shop opens at 5 in the evening and open till 8 at night.. it's only one sweet which the shop is famous for and it's halwa. This shop has been there for 123 years and it has never been expanded still operates from the same place. It's available in half kg packing as well as 1 kg packing. It's 340 for 1 kg. It's neatly packed and it can be used for 12 days after purchase.

One thing I didn't like was that after purchasing a package of halwa, I had to wait another 30 minutes to purchase the hot little pieces that they served on banana leaf. Am writing this on 29-01-2023 Yesterday we went to tirunelveli IRUTTUKADAI HALWA SHOP @4pm they opened shop at 5pm we are standing in a quew for 1 hour in 5th place of 120 people's after shop opened the quew will moved quickly we got it in just 2minutes...they already packed the quantity of 1/2kg packages and sell it very quickly...1/2 kg price is RS.170...there is no limit for a person you can purchase whatever quantity you want... finally i taste it today.... what I think is it had nothing special taste like average.... anyway.. first time i went to iruttukadai and purchased halwa and tasted it...😁😁😁

Famous for Thirunelveli, Quality is as it is and the workers all are friendly based slightly opposite to Nellaiappar temple we can shop the name outside from past till now same procedure as name only darkness in shop and sweet as well rich in taste with all the ingredients. Hi guys I'm from Bangalore visited this shop on 24/11/21. This is famous Halwa shop in tirunelveli and u will get good the best Halwa they will give small portions for 15rs also. We just tried there only and went to Chandra Sweets also so no parcel here. Taste was ok (3/5).... and the shop has no name displaying boards but it is located just opposite to Nelliappar temple in East Car Street. Only 100mts away. Note: Just eat there only because you will be given HOT HALWA(5/5) If you take Parcel then they will give atleast a day before prepared Halwa.(2/5 )
