🐹Sharing my experience on my first time visit here. 🚥🚦Started from Thoothukudi from 5.45 AM, from Albert and corner.🏠 🚙🚘Ride is Alto 800 and one co passenger, my cousin.🚙 Traffic was so less. 😬Maintained a slow speed below 60 since it's my First time taking car out of Thoothukudi. 🌨️🌿No AC needed, air was fresh and pleasant to ride. Mine was a bit tension mixed because of my first time ride at continuous top gears on highway. 😂 🛣️I memorized the route previous day with very less sleep due to excitement and a bit fear 😉 😍I was surprised to see Saravana bhavan in the way while I was checking the route. Still ended up in a wrong route missing the hotel on the way. 🏁So stopped nowhere and reached Manapad at 7 AM. Already sun 🌞 shining bright. We should have started by.4.30 🥺 Stopped the car at the Manapad church near the coast and light house. 🏞️Though we are from Thoothukudi, which is a coastal location itself, Manapad view is something extraordinary and awesome to our eyes. 🍃No crowd for parking or anywhere actually. Route was narrow from entering Manapad till church. ⛪Inside church the window and alter says its age. Calm and a divine feel to be inside. 💈While I was checking if there is a way from church backside to light house (no way to lighthouse discovered), i saw a small way leading to beach from there. It was so steep, but you can see a amazing complete view of ocean 🌊 🏖️Finally 🌟 shining in our eyes 👀 🤩 seeing the view where we can take amazing snaps and enjoy the beach. Literally no one was there and not a footstep mark of anyone as well. 🍹It's so refreshing and carefully we went down the steep sand taking snaps on the way and admiring the beauty of the waves. 🧭Time is now 8 AM and sun 🌞 getting hot 🔥. Took amazing snaps on our mobile ( not DSLR 😎) and now the tough time of the journey comes. To make our way above the church. With so many breaks finally reached the top and then kicks the hunger and thirsty. 🔴No shops around we can see. Seated on church entrance sometime to catch breath and entered the car which was like a oven. ⚫Quickly turned in AC and moved away from there to Saravana Bhavan using G maps. 🟠Hunger and thirsty in me made me drive well this time and quickly. Mind is full of food. We didn't think of missing other spots in Manapad. Jus food. 🟤Reached Saravana Bhavan and had dosa, ghee dosa, vada and coffee. 315 bill. 😑 But worth it in hunger 😂 🟡Next stopped at a petrol bunk and filled for X amount, my first time experience in filling petrol in a car. Took a minute to search the button to open the petrol lid and some tension there. 😒 🟣Dropped cousin at his place near Shanmugapuram and reached my home at millerpuram by 10.20 AM. 🔵Traffic was little bit more while coming back, but my cousin told me that I drove better while returning, hence reached a bit quick and expected. 🟢Sharing out the pics here 😄 Thanks, Jose princely.

very peaceful beach. and the ride to manapad was amazing. the road was good also full of windmills and all. would love to visit there again. talked to some locals. they said only few tourists visit this place . most of the visitors there are locals itself. i love the peaceful atmosphere here compared to kanyakumari. lots of food spots available on the beachside with variety of fish items.

Beautiful hidden beach. Very clean water. It's hard to reach without car so less tourist that's the reason it's clean. Right side of the beach has small natural pools, kids will love it.

Manapad is a coastal village in South India,Tamilnadu state and 60 kilometres (37 mi) from Tuticorin and 18 km (11 mi) south of Tiruchendur . This small hamlet nestled between naturally formed dunes on one side and enclosed by clear blue seas on three sides stands still with all its beauty and majesty. Ingrained in history and bestowed with inimitable natural splendour, Manapad is a fantastic location for leisure activities and water sports as well. This pristine destination is surrounded by many places of great heritage, tourism and religious significance. For those who prefer sea beaches to mountains, Manapad Beach is an ideal location to spend the holidays. During the colonial times, the beach was of strategic importance as traders used it. The beach is not only an excellent place for enjoying the fantastic views of the sea but also to know about the intriguing history associated with it. How to Reach: By Air: The Nearby Domestic Airport to Manapad is in Tuticorin (58 Km), which has two flights to Chennai per day (SpiceJet Airlines). Madurai (170 km) and Thiruvananthapuram (150 km) are other place near to Manapad that has airports and it has frequent flights from major cities of India. By Rail: Thiruchendur Railway Station is nearest to Manapad. Chendur Express is direct train from Chennai Egmore. There are many passenger trains available that connect major stations Tuticorin and Thiruneveli. From Tuticorin there are direct trains to Chennai (Pear City Express), Coimbatore (Coimbatore Tn Link Express) and Mysore (Tuticorin Express). From Thiruneveli Jn, you can have direct trains to Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai (Nagercoil Express) By Road: Manapad is located near Tuticorin and Tirunelveli, which are well connected to Chennai, Madurai and Trivandrum by roads and regular trains. Taxi services are available from these Tuticorin and Tirunelveli that costs about INR 800.

Beautiful place to go visit. Best time to reach is 4 30 PM if you want to get into the water. Sunset is around 6 30 PM. Definitely a must visit place. Pack ample food and snacks if planning to go for more than half a day.

Best place to relax ,and soft sandy sea,so its too enjoyable place, there is a big church nearby beach and a very old light house is also there, near by salt water there are some sweet water wells, there is two beaches one is without waves(safer to take bath) and another side has high waves (not safe to take bath)be very careful while taking bath-- don't go deep inside the sea, best place to spend time with family ,you can use your own vehicle or else you need to take bus from udangudi or kulasekrapattinam, Scam alert 1- Don't keep your belongings on sea shore, some local guys may steal that) 2- Don't ask strangers to get water from sweet water well (they will charge you for that) 3- Don't give money to anyone for a boat trip(there is no boating service and strictly prohibited by local police)

Beautiful beach at Tirunelveli. Clean and different from other beaches in the same region. There is a church near to this. And some snack centre..which is mostly fish 🐠 . Small small hills made out of sea sand.. can be seen here, don't know for what..but is of great pleasure for kids.

Good place to spend time with family.. there's a light house not opened when I was visited.. speed of the air here is little bit more compared to other beaches.. here's the church and one old ancient Cross is there .. behind the story of this cross natural beauty is a magnet for movie makers to make this a popular site for filming. It has picturesque views of the fishing village. Lot of ancient catholic churches. The Church of the Cross was built by shipwrecked Portuguese sailors in the early 1500s. clean and picturesque. Makes for a great outing. Not food outlets available. Bring your own food.

Really a beautiful environment to spend time with your dear ones, colleagues, and family. You can feel sea breeze and pleasant air. This is the beautiful spot. The waves that comes to offshore are more different as it connected by three oceans. (Bay of Bengal, Indian and Arabian sea)

Clean and calm beach near Thiruchendur. There is a big church at beach (small hillock). One side of the Church is a beach with shallow water. So good place for kids to play and spend good time ... Mainly beach is clean and less crowded. Lot of small eateries on beach (you will get good fish). From the church good view of beach. If you are going from Thiruchendur to Kanyakumari via the beach road, this place is little deviation (some 2 km from main road) but worth a visit. Some basic public amenities at beach can make it more attractive picnic spot.

Seashore, churches and light house. Can be improved, not considered as a tourist spot. No navigation or sign boards.

Turquoise Color beach water... Really enjoyed a lot, plan to come in evening as afternoon will be very hot in this place. Beach waves are very dangerous, if you don't have experience don't go inside of water. Just roam around the beach.. Nearby beach you only get icecream... If you are hungry have something outside and come as nothing will be available here to eat. Boating is stopped now, as thier was one boat accident happened in the past and around 13 people died.

A small coastal village, with this lovely beach. Nice Churches and a light house. Picturesque as you see the pictures, but these are the best side of the location. Beach needs attention by Government and Tourism board to keep it clean. Less crowded, best to visit in the evening around 5 PM.
