Highly recommend this one, also popularly known as Dolphins Nose point. A beautiful place, surrounded all around by the majestic nilgiris, a true natural beauty. The route to this is full of picturesque views, it is located in coonoor. You can go there either by car or you could take the toy train, trust me the experience will be one that you will never forget. The whistling train passing through dark tunnels with tea plantations on the side. Unforgettable experience. Entry ticket here is very cheap, there are many shops where you could have a nice breakfast too while enjoying the views. A must visit place

High Charges, filthy, garbage strewn, tourist trap place : better to avoid..free alternatives available- Harassment by local stff - Avoidable place, we visited this place in october 2022 in car with family and it was an avoidable experience. Based on this experience we skipped lambs rock ( lamps rock) view point too. Cons: 1. Congested parking places ( but managed by staff as much as possible) but expect difficulties and minor issues. 2. Harassment and illegally extra parking charges - rs. 50 per whiteboard car ..only rs. 20 for yellow board cars. Unofficial staff employed by local municipal politicians control the place. 3. But the parking receipt is just a local, unofficial bit notice print without date and time or any detils. 4. No notice board on the point of parking fee collection. They collect fee by stopping cars on middle of the road before 1 km itself. They don't show any notice, circular, board or any offical information or license for parking fee collected. They harass tourists if asked to show info. The board at the dolphins nose is also just a simple flex print without details. 5. The entry cost for going into the view point for adult approx rs. 50 for adult and rs.30 for child. Camera rs.30 per camera. Very costly. 6. Zero maintenance ..the place is not at all maintained. All plastic covers thrown in and around, coco cola, pepsi cool drink cans, cool drink bottles, alcohol bottles thrown in the view point. No cleaning of the spot done by officials. 7. View is good but not worth the 200 rs minimum cost for a family of 3. 8. If you are going as a large group, family easily the cost will cross thousands. Not worth it. 9. One can easily park your car on the road side and enjoy peaceful, clear views from numerous roadside points on the way. 10. The usual bad feeling of being ripped off engulfs you after you visit the place. Better to enjoy mother nature free of cost from various free road side spots. 11. Expect heavy traffic and 20 min to 40 mins stoppages on the way ( one way) on holidays. Based on these points and advise from tea shop owners we skipped the nearby lambs rock, lamps rock view point also in coonoor. Not suitable for large families, groups. 12. Only suitable if you go by bike, two wheelers. Indian tourist spots should understand the difference between tourist based economy and tourist harassing economy.

Spectacular place. Road to this place is more beautiful than actual place. If fog is less then tea garden, dolphin nose shape mountain and a waterfall will be visible easily. A very peaceful place with some snacks' corner and small shopping market. Beware of monkeys as they can snatch belongings from your hand. For mobile network perspective, Reliance Jio worked best following Idea. Western toilet for ladies and Indian toilet for gents are available.

I visited as per recommendations from Travel Blogs while on way to Ooty. This is located in Coonoor. The journey to reach the place is beautiful and one can spend some time here. Entry ticket is 20Rs for adult. Plenty is eatery around. Its clean and neat!

Dolphin Nose View Point is a great tourist attraction, the view from here is splendid, however we had a very bad experience here all because of a single mistake from our end. We left our headlights on when stepping out and after we returned back the car battery was dead. It literally was a nightmare as there is no car repair shop or a mechanic near by. However, the other taxi drivers here helped us jump start the car. Memories were made. Much appreciation to the local taxi drivers for helping us tourists.

Must visit view point to see Catherine waterfalls. I really enjoyed the journey to this place. On the way to dolphin nose view point we can see tea estate and tea factory. Tea estate is awesome for taking photos. We can rent out binoculars to see the Catherine waterfalls view.Eateries are available here. At this view point we must be careful with monkeys. Charged RS 10/- for adult and RS 20/- for still camera and it is worth for it.

An average place. Don't get excited with the name. The View from here is very normal. there will be a nominal fee for Entry and Camera. You need to pay an extra amount to use the binocular available there. Latrine/toilet facility available inside, for a nominal fee-----But dirty and stinky. No proper parking facility provided, indeed you have to park on road side, still they are charging hefty amounts for road side parking. Safe place for travelers- beware of monkeys, they may snatch your food and water.

Best place for couples and families for amazing adventure filled and relaxing time going and watching the deep valley views from top of the dolphin nose peak point.Spectacular and rich greenery in the surroundings and one can see groups of wild monkeys playing and living alongside that area ..! must watch place for wannabe and professional photographers to visit ..!

Awesome view, but super crowded on weekends. The weather here is always excellent. In the monsoons, you'll be able to see a decent number of waterfalls, unfortunately we visited in summer. Watch out for touts trying to sell you "parking tickets" as parking here is free. The entry charge is also minimal, buy tickets at the counter only.

The place also known as dolphin nose coonoor. Its Similar to dodda beta peak in ooty. Nice view of Coimbatore whole city... Few waterfalls are also visible but it's too far so only tiny shape of waterfall can be visible. There is two point to see from dolphin nose. Another good destination in coonoor is lambs rock view point. Both are good place and one time visit if u are in coonoor...

The way towards dolphins nose is really awsum. You will enjoy the ride. You can sit here and have a tea or coffee. There are many shops nearby . The entry fee here is 20. There are many monkeys. I have seen people buying chocolates and then the monkeys snatch it from them.so be aware of that fact. The view sometimes can be full of clouds but its worth it to go here. There is a viewpoint from where you can capture great pictures.

Place is surrounded by good scenic beauty.. the drive to this place is full of tea gardens and lush green trees and plants. The road is narrow and parking space is very less, so may take lot of time during peak season to reach this destination.

The place is very good and it is worth a visit the area is very slippery and I would suggest you to gear up before you come to this place. The place is covered with fog almost the entire day and the air is very fresh. We need to climb the hill amidst the tea estates which is a very delightful experience in life.

Located over 10 kms from Connor is beautiful view point of Dolphins Nose. You can get a panoramic view from their. The road to the view point is also very scenic but narrow. Adult entry is Rs 30 and camera extra 30. To add more mistery, parking is Rs 100 , but you have to park on the road side.

It is located at about 12 kms. from Coonoor bus stand. It is a unique rock of tremendous proportions, jutting out of the face of hill side in the formation of Dolphin's Nose. The view here is extremely grand. Left and right are great ravines, on one side is seen an excellent view of the magnificent St. Catherine’s Falls with their stream continuing several thousand metres below, while on the other, the familiar Coonoor stream meets the stream from Kotagiri. They together contribute to the great Bhavani river. A must visit place.

Dolphin's Nose Viewpoint is a tourist spot in Coonoor, The Nilgiris District, Tamil Nadu. Dolphin's Nose is well over 1,550 Meter above sea level, 10 km from Coonoor and is a spectacular spot to visit. The tip of the peak resembles a dolphin's nose, hence the name Dolphin's Nose.

To put this in the least elaborate of ways of describing a dining experience, I would call it a delicious delight atop this mist-shrugged hill of Coonoor. The food is elegantly served from a somewhat-permanently parked food truck and it does come out of it hot and delicious! Cold mists of Coonoor can easily be battled with some hot and spicy Kadai Paneer, sandwiched between the folded layers of Butter Rotis! The seating adds to the dining experience here and so does the convenience of parking. Do not hesitate to drive up here any time of the day to experience Northern and Southern Indian cuisines.
