Thiru
Ayyan
Kovil
is
a
divine
place
with
a
unique
history
of
an
ordinary
person
transforming
into
an
accomplished
saint,
making
this
temple
special.
Our
visit
was
prompted
by
an
incident
where
my
wife
accidentally
stepped
on
a
snake,
and
it's
believed
that
visiting
Ayyan
Kovil
can
provide
a
remedy.
The
temple
opens
at
4
pm
in
the
evening,
and
we
were
pleasantly
surprised
by
the
minimal
waiting
time.
They
charge
around
100
rupees
for
milk
offerings,
120
for
abhisekam
items
like
coconut
banana
etc.
You
can
purchase
chits
for
archana,
pal
abhishekam,
and
coconut
abhishekam
at
5,
10
and
5
rupees,
respectively.
The
temple
exudes
a
divine
aura
that's
truly
captivating.
As
you
enter,
you'll
notice
a
designated
area
for
the
sacrifice
of
goats
and
chickens.
The
main
temple,
although
old,
emanates
positive
vibrations.
The
temple
priests
are
dedicated,
performing
their
duties
with
chants
and
assisting
with
archana
chits.
Outside
the
temple,
there's
ample
parking
space,
but
there
isn't
a
dedicated
shoe
or
slipper
rack.
The
routes
leading
to
the
temple
are
well-maintained,
although
quite
narrow.
Notably,
there
are
multiple
entrances,
each
marked
by
an
arch,
adding
to
the
temple's
unique
charm.
