This
is
not
just
a
dam
with
a
garden.
There
is
a
renowned
ancient
temple
at
the
foothills,
just
by
the
side
of
a
boulder
fallen
from
the
mountains.
Touch
ithe
Boulder,
embrace
it
and
feel
the
blessings
of
our
Rishis.
Some
say,
the
drawings
on
it
were
etched
by
Jain
Sadhus.
The
drawings
appear
to
be
upside
down.
Walking
around
this
temple
in
the
ankle/
knee
deep
water-
doing
parikrama-
is
a
great
joy
when
your
children,
wife
and
you
yourself
cry
out,
"OM
Nama
Shivaya".
Cross
the
rivulet
from
nearby,
and
climb
up
the
hill
to
enjoy
bathing
in
the
waterfall.
There
is
a
Temple
there
too.
Close
your
eyes
and
feel
the
Energy,
Shakti
of
the
place
seep
into
you.
Monkeys
are
great
fun
but
you
have
to
guard
your
eatables
unless
you
want
to
feed
them.
You
have
to
master
the
art
of
feeding
the
monkeys
in
the
wild
while
walking
with
a
strong
stick
in
one
hand
and
a
bunch
of
plantains
in
another.
You
can
hike
further
and
farther
up
the
hill,
if
you
are
so
inclined.
This
is
not
a
sophisticated
tourist
spot.
A
simple,
unpretentious,
natural
beauty,
this
is
a
spot
you
go
to
for
getting
away
from
our
daily
money
mongering
pursuits
of
city
life.
Proximity
to
Nature
brings
out
the
child
in
you
and
the
Seeker
too.
Sit
and
meditate.
This
place
is
a
tourist
centre,
a
pilgrimage,
an
adventure
trip,
a
family
outing
and
an
affair
with
Nature,
all
rolled
into
one.
You
will
love
it,
if
you
do
not
expect
trappings
of
modern
life.
