I liked this garden better than the botanical garden, there is lots more to see and huge collection of colourful flowers. Parking is available, you need to pay parking as you enter with your vehicle. You can see this place in about an hour. Toilets are not too clean and a bit scary. Entry fee is nominal at ₹ 40 per person. Good place for those who like flowers and like to walk. Weather in February was very pleasant and not too cold. Well maintained place.

The Government Rose Garden located in the heart of Ooty & it is one of the largest rose gardens in India and also a popular tourist attraction. It is spread across 10 acres of land and houses some of the largest collections of roses in the country including miniature roses, hybrid tea roses, floribunda, ramblers, black and green roses and many other unique varieties. The Rose Garden is not only a delight for the eyes and the senses but also a must-visit for those interested in horticulture.

It is a must visit place for rose lovers. The garden is well maintained. When i visited here it was all foggy so the garden was looking very beautiful. You can see the beautiful view of Ooty from here. There is a minimal entry fee of 40 rupees. Also you can get your picture clicked by a few professional photographers who will handover the photo print instantly. You have ample parking space too. Cheers✌️

It's a great place to spend some time and also one of the most tourist destination as well. They provide vast knowledge about the rose flowers. During the peak season of May you might find lots of varieties of roses kept for exhibition. They also provided some musical entertainment for the guests. It's a huge place and you need at least 2 hours to completely cover the whole garden, so plan accordingly. The parking is huge but still felt limited as there was very huge crowd. A must visit at least once in a lifetime. The view of Ooty from here is also mesmerizing to watch. Flowers lovers especially those who like roses would love it here during peak season.

Good rose garden centrally located near the Ooty lake. A quick 30 minute visit here gives a good glance over many valleys and a variety of flowers. Entry fee is nominal and the crowd isn't too much. Parking could be hectic on public holiday/ weekends.

Not worth going here. Plan early morning to botanical garden first then if time permits go to rose garden. There are many varieties of roses you can observe and see the names of them and enjoy. If you have your own car, pl park in parking area and don't have to tell this in ticket counter els you have to pay separately. Don't take out your car again if you roam within 2-3 km

Huge area with numerous varieties of roses and other lovely shrubs. You need to have patience and body strength to slowly walk around the whole park and enjoy beauty of these rose beds and city view from various locations of the park. Lovely place to enjoy nature and flowers. You'll even find unique colored roses like black, green or blue roses here if you're lucky enough to see them blooming.

Although the garden has ROSE in it's name but you wont find any good rose plant maintained properly. They claim that there are arround 700 different species of rose but you will barely find around 70 of them blooming. Others plants are either dead or dropped. But other than this there are many more things to enjoy here... Many other plant species many old trees which are older than 100 years.. from here the view of ooty city looks mesmerizing.. i would recommend to go here in the evening.. keep in mind that the gates will be closed after 6 30 PM.

The government rose garden is a must-visit place for all flower / Rose lovers. The varieties of the roses being showcased are infinite. Each has a name mentioned and it is exciting to read all those names as you walk. The entry ticket here is 40 rupees for Adults and 20 rupees for kids. The price is worth it when you complete walking the whole rose garden. The place is well-maintained and is so clean. It is a must-visit place to take good and cute pictures with the roses and the lush green scenery. They fine us for plucking the flowers, so kindly do not pluck the flowers. If you do so support persons and guards are watching us always. Overall the best time to visit this place is either early in the morning or late in the evening so that we can avoid the sun and experience the chill climate.

Not quite enchanting as anticipated. However, the garden boast of very good collection of Roses which is acknowledged worldwide. Perhaps, the beauty of the garden fluctuates with the blooming and off seasons. I was unlucky to not see the full potential of the flowers. Situated in the heart of Ooty, it is still worth visiting..

A well maintained, curated rose garden. We visited during the rose show, the main attraction being a 15-feet wooden house made of 31,000 roses. Various other structures were also displayed in the show. Need a couple of hours to walk around and enjoy the garden.

It's a wonderful place with a lot of varieties of roses. This season is one of the best times to visit and most of the flowers have bloomed. The area of this place is smaller compared to the Botanical Garden which is nearby. Still it takes over an hour if you wish to see everything available here. The area follows a layered structure. You need to go down two to three levels using the stairs and paths provided. Also, keep an eye out for flower shows which take place a few times over the year. If you love to explore rose varieties then definitely a must visit.

Rose gardens are a beautiful and enchanting place to visit. The fragrance of roses, the vibrant colors, and the peaceful atmosphere make for a truly delightful experience. A rose garden typically features a wide variety of roses, from traditional tea roses to modern hybrids, each with its unique beauty and charm. Walking through the garden, you'll see roses of every color, from pure white to deep crimson, with many shades of pink, yellow, and orange in between. The sight of so many different roses in bloom is truly a feast for the eyes. In addition to the roses themselves, many rose gardens also feature beautiful landscaping, with manicured lawns, walkways, and other decorative features. You may also find fountains, statues, and other ornamental elements that add to the garden's charm and tranquility. One of the best things about visiting a rose garden is the opportunity to learn more about these beautiful flowers. Many rose gardens offer guided tours, workshops, and other educational activities that provide insight into the history, cultivation, and care of roses. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or simply a lover of flowers, there's always something new to learn. Overall, a visit to a rose garden is a delightful experience that is sure to leave you feeling refreshed, inspired, and enchanted. If you have the chance to visit one, I highly recommend it.

The Rose Garden in Ooty is a delightful place that truly lives up to its name. Nestled amidst the picturesque Nilgiri Hills, this garden is a floral paradise that will leave you spellbound. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a riot of colors and the sweet fragrance of thousands of roses in various hues and varieties. It's a haven for nature lovers and a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll. The well-maintained pathways wind through the garden, making it easy to explore the lush greenery and vibrant blossoms. What's truly remarkable is the sheer diversity of roses on display, from miniature roses to the classic red ones. The garden is meticulously organized, with each section dedicated to different types of roses. It's not just roses; you'll also find various other exotic flowers and plants that add to the garden's charm. The best time to visit is during the blooming season, usually from April to June, when the roses are in full splendor. However, the garden retains its charm year-round, with different flowers taking center stage in different seasons. For those who appreciate the beauty of nature, the Rose Garden in Ooty is a must-visit. It's a serene place to relax, take in the breathtaking views, and revel in the simple yet profound beauty of roses and other flowers. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the stunning flora in all its glory.

Very beautiful rose garden. There are more than 4,000 different rose plants. The names of everything are written there. There are also green roses. There are many different flowers from different foreign countries. There is a counter selling roses. But do not buy plants from there, they will not grow. It is a rooted seedling without bud.

Good place but missing all types of flowers as this was not perfect time, (we visited in August) to visit, only garden without flowers we witnessed. Staff was so good, they already told that there are no flowers currently, but still we went to explore the garden. Some mountains views from rose garden are just awesome.

During our visit to the park, it appeared that we had come at the wrong time since the roses weren't in bloom. Consequently, the park felt somewhat empty. That being said, the park features various levels with a diverse range of roses. It's worth noting that there's an entry ticket and a parking fee. Despite the timing issue, we were able to spend around 30 to 40 minutes there and capture some truly stunning pictures.

This Rose garden is actually a valley with 4-5 major steps. Each one of them is very beautiful and has a long walk with pathway and steps. The valley view on the other side is breathtaking with colored houses with beautiful sky in the background. This place never feels very crowded except the entrance as it has small area for parking.

One of the tourist attractions in ooty this is a huge garden containing amazing varieties of roses. The garden is spread over a huge area in 3 levels and you can find different varieties of colors of roses right from the regular Dark red ones to even yellow, orange and blue roses. The weather is fresh due to presence of so many flower bearing plants and you can see the garden is being well maintained by the gardeners working round the clock. You will need to keep at least 2 to 3 hours in hand if you wish to see the entire park properly. Also you can click many photos of all the varieties of roses inside the park. the experience is pretty amazing and you can see almost all the varieties of roses from around the world in one single place.

If you are a floraphile it is a must visit place when you visit Ooty. The ticket rate is very inexpensive but worth is more than that. Parking is available and sales stall is there to buy plants. The area is very big and full of rose plants. It's well maintained and kept clean. Walking paths is given which is appropriate to see all varieties. Resting places are also built in the garden. There are more than 3000 varieties of roses and more than 20,000 plants. It's a huge collection!!! We can see the name boards at each variety , not even heard of them before.!! Rose varieties from different countries.!! We have to respect the hard work behind that beautiful garden. So keep it clean and don't pluck those beautiful flowers, let others also enjoy the same.

Visiting the rose garden was an enchanting experience that delighted all my senses. As I stepped through the entrance, I was immediately greeted by an overwhelming wave of fragrant blooms that seemed to embrace the air around me. The vibrant colors of the roses painted a picturesque scene that felt like stepping into a fairy tale. Wandering through the pathways, I was astounded by the variety of roses on display. From delicate tea roses to bold and vibrant hybrid varieties, each bloom was a masterpiece in its own right. The meticulous care taken to arrange them by color and size was evident, creating a harmonious symphony of hues that danced before my eyes. The garden's layout was thoughtfully designed, offering different sections that highlighted specific types of roses. A dedicated area for climbers showcased their graceful ascent, while the formal rose beds displayed a tapestry of different colors and shapes. One particularly charming corner featured antique roses, each with a unique story to tell. Amidst the visual feast, the gentle hum of bees and the occasional flutter of butterflies added to the garden's allure. I found myself lost in the tranquility of the surroundings, a temporary escape from the bustling world beyond the garden's borders. The visit was not only a treat for the eyes and nose but also an opportunity to learn. Informational plaques provided insights into the history of various rose breeds, cultivation techniques, and even tips for nurturing roses at home. It was a wonderful blend of beauty and education. As I reluctantly left the garden, I couldn't help but feel a sense of rejuvenation. The experience left me inspired to bring a touch of this enchantment into my own life. The rose garden was more than just a collection of flowers; it was a sanctuary of beauty, a space to connect with nature, and a reminder of the simple joys that the world has to offer.

👍👍 Best place to visit, worth are: 1) its near to Doddabetta pick, about 2 km. 2) i will give 100% better experience than Government botanical garden, because of less crowd. 3) suggest to go by own car or taxi/cab. 4) kids park also available and its far better than Gov. Botanical garden kids park. 5)...

👍 Highest peak in the Nilgiris. Around 10km from Ooty. Heavy traffic during holidays.(I travelled during Christmas holidays) Once you reach there, we can see superb view points and scenery. So many shopping spots. Must watch spot when you travel to Ooty. Recommended 👍

👍👍 I did have a lot of fun in this place. The sight from this Garden is mesmerising. There is something about this place that I felt very warm and cozy. After 4 pm the sun rays felt so great coming through the trees and the breeze was making my hair fly. Oh! I love this Tea Garden ❣️
