Very good place for non-vegetarian lovers. Tastes are superb. Veg also available. If you are pass by Nasiyanur, go to that place for lunch. Check before reach the place. 4+1 our lunch.

Virunthu in tamil literally means the feast you make for your guests and this place just stood by the name. One would be blown away by the spread that is served here both in terms of taste n options.

The real village style cuisine. U must remove footwear for entering the dining halls. We started with the natti koli soup. Had meals with their exclusive sides, All chicken dishes are natti (country chicken & not broiler) chicken. Added the fish fry, moola fry (bheja) , mutton sukka, mutton Khaima, and much more, All dishes had that much flavourful note to it. It's not over powered by spices /chilly/ pepper. Very warm services and pretty crowded too. So be ready to spend a good 30, 40 mins on a weekend lunch scene just waiting for your turn.

This place has the ambience of a dhaba with small rooms, but many tables in those rooms. We ordered veg meals and non veg meals. It is very unfortunate that they don't even give curd as a part of the meal. The veg meal priced at 150 has only 3 items - paruppu, rasam and poriyal along with rice. Very expensive in my opinion. The non veg items were too spicy for my friends.

Rice, Chicken kolambu and Mutton kolambu are part of the unlimited meals. Everything else is billed extra. If you are a group of 5 members and order 1 chilly chicken, they themselves divide it equally and serve to each plate. We went on a Sunday at 3pm and the rush was huge. They managed the crowd well though. The taste was good and light on tummy. Note: Alcohol not allowed. This is a family-friendly place.

Tasty and healthy!! No ajinomoto or artificial masalas added. Such a natural home way food. They have two branches. One is for lunch and another one is for dinner. You can call them to know the exact location for the place where they serve dinner. You should enjoy!

Went there for lunch. Crowded. Had to wait for my turn. Ordered mutton and chicken along with non veg meal. Tasty but a little bland for my liking. Must try. Different experience.

Chicken varieties were good , their payasam was a must try...but the meals were very average... Didn't met the expectations. So many good hotels are there inside the city providing the same quality at much lower price. Went with the hype and disappointed ☹️

Had non-veg meals with TVS(Thottathu Virundhu Special country-chicken chops), Mutton chukka(chopped mutton), Mutton eral (liver) + sevarotti (spleen), Moola(brain) fry, pichupotta (shredded) chicken, payasam (kheer) and curd. If you know Tamil language, then you would be able to appreciate the waiters humbleness in words. Coimbatore-Erode belt slang in Tamil :-)

The food is tasty, but it lacks value for money due to its high cost and small quantity. Consider trying it once. The meal costs 80 rupees, which is reasonable, but the curd is priced at 30 rupees.

Warning: very expensive hotel with very little quantity! Food quality & taste: You would feel like eating at your home. Taste is too good. This place is good for lunch and i dont prefer this place for dinner. What to try? TVS chicken (thotathu virunthu special chicken) 250 rupees very less quantity ( lesser than you can imagine), Andhra kalaki is good, pacha puli rasam is excellent. Lunch here is only NoN veg meals. For a family of three it might cost around 1000-1200 rupees. I gave three star because over the years they have reduced the quantity and increased the price which is disappointing. Taste kaaga poi sapdunga, vairu full ah sapdanumna kaasu neriya vechukonga.

There are 3 shops. One for breakfast , lunch and dinner. Lunch is near sakthi durai samy maligai. Dinner is in nasiyanur road. Parking is available outside. Food is good..In homely manner. Ambience nice.Like hotels..They give free naatu kozhi soup.Service is very good.Very fast. You will get only idly, dosa, pandiyarajan, roti only. only issue i feel is quantity is very low.

Food is ok....the way they handle crowd is pathatic. If you eat more time the owner taking away the gravy bucket from the table. It is quite annoying. He thought that they providing food for free. The bill is not clear and as other said it is costly. The way of handling customer should be change else it will not sustain. Finally there is no menu board or card displayed.

I liked the food but it is too much oily. I felt briyani and mutton kothu Kari had oil dripping and the hospitality really need to be improved. The owner asked us to rush while we are still eating as other customers are waiting. I will think twice about going again because we come to restaurants to have some good relaxing time with food and not to end up unsatisfied. And quantity definitely needs a big improvement. They have really less portion size for the bill charged. I wish they consider these points and improve them.

Totally disappointed with cost and quantity. Was expecting a lot. We ordered meals and the taste of chicken and mutton gravy is worst. There's no salt in those gravies and I wonder how people reach over there to have food for that cost. Also, don't get fooled by getting idicha puli rasam. Service wise we are satisfied. Quantity and cost of the all side dish is very expensive compared to Chennai which is not fair for a restaurant in some town near Erode.

Very Good Taste.. very good quality. Nice people. Rice is also very good quality. Totally Awesome. Request to the Owner: open an outlet at Coimbatore. Here all the hotels are running only for their names. I don't find anything just good as yours.

It was pouring when I visited this place. The food was awesome. Loved tvs chicken, mutton chukka, rasam, scrambled eggs,( I forget what it is called in tamil) brain fry was great too.chilly chicken dry was good. Trust me , we had all these hot n spicy dishes served at great speed. There's a small waiting time, since it's packed. Worth the wait though. Unless you know Tamil, you'll miss the place. It's close to " D'Wayfairer Inn." Yummy food.

I've been eating in this restaurant regularly for the past 4 years. I have never had any stomach problems after eating here. I highly recommend everyone to try TVS chicken which is their special and Mutton Chukka. And their Pachapuli rasam will be very good.

Mutton and chicken kulambu as a part of meal are very thin. For curd they charged extra. They don't take the side dishes in plate We don't even get to know how many plates were given to us. We think, we are given with 1 plate and charged for two plates. Over hyped and over priced.

Limited menu for lunch but great taste!! They dont add any chemicals to your food, which makes the hotel a great pick for kids and families.. They only serve meals for lunch (biriyani only on Sundays), but their starters and Thanni Kolambu (watery gravy) are unmatchable.. If you want to taste authentic Kongu nonveg meals - this place is a good bet!!

Went to this restaurant based on the YouTube review and it was worth it. One of the best meals i ever had. The ultimate dish is the thottathu rasam. The restaurant opens at 12.00 pm after 1.30 pm it's crowded and you may have to wait for your turn. But the wait is worth it. Friendly staff and village kind ambience of the restaurant felt like back to my roots.

We went for Sunday lunch. The place was crowded! But we got a semi private table for 3 pretty soon. The food was very tasty. The portions could be bigger. Overall it was satisfying.

  • 3/5 sibi c. 1 year ago on Google
Is a good experience. Always full and waiting. Cost required for a person to eat differs but for me it took 700 . There is less probability of it going higher than 700. Its meals only during week days. Briyani is available on Sundays. Almost like home made cooking. To eat afternoon there is a separate place and to eat dinner there is another place located 1km further away from the afternoon place. Only thing is they are not expanding hotel and make people wait . Its a strategy of them to make people wait and eat .So that the outsiders as well as insiders think that so many people come and eat and makes them to come again .I can guarantee that side dishes taste better than curry that they are giving for rice.cost wise its ₹₹.

It’s too much of hype, probably initial days food could have been outstanding not now. You can’t be felt as a customer there, you feel like went to a free food (annadhanam). Maybe they have tough time in manpower. Whatever it is, it’s not worth the hype.

Food quality is awesome, nothing to complaint. If u r from city, u will like this village ambience. If u r already from village probably u won't visit. Good place to hangout with family. When I asked for menu card, they don't have one. Surprised to know the bill at last, which is too high compare to star hotels. Hospitality is good. Evening time it ll b crowded. If u r a lavish spender, give this place a try. If u r budget constraint, never visit this hotel. it's like spending 300rs for a meals, which is not acceptable in the place where it exist. Think twice before u visit. Hope next time I visit, I might see a menu card on table. So that I can order cautiously. Hope you will work on ur price in future, reducing stars for the price.
