Very bad attitude from temple volunteers. Behaving without resepct to even elders and arrogant attitude. Seems like they believe god is sitting under their custody. For their arrogance attitude and disrespect i wish sooner they get what they deserve from god itself. This will be the only temple in my life which i would not recommend to visit for a blissful experience. Your mood will be spoiled by the volunteers treating you harshly. - Swamiye Sharanam Ayyappa

This temple is located in main city near Gandhi puram. For 100 devotees they are providing food everyday. History: This temple has got a noble history of establishment. In the early stage, specifically during 1942 some of the devotees started the Pooja Sang in a simple way of worship through Bhajans. During the traditional Mandal Pooja they started the “Ayyappan Vilakku Pooja”. Then they commenced the Sabari Mala Yathra. This custom was regulated properly and continued in every year. During 1955, the registration under the society act, took place in the name of “THE COIMBATORE SREE AYYAPPA SEVA SANGAM”. Gradually the development was attended with the guidance of devotees. In the year 1958, a land to construct a temple was purchased at Siddhapudur. The industrialist Sri Narasi Thulasidas aided further in providing a shed at the temple site. The devotees continued their worship in the shed after installing the portrait of Lord Sri Ayyappaswamy. The Bajans and Poojas were conducted in a proper manner. His Excellency Vishnuram Medhi, the Governor of Tamilnadu laid the foundation stone for the purpose of construction of the Temple. During 1966, Brahma Sri Kanippaiyur Shankaran Nambudhiripad had rendered the sacred chart consisting of the dimensional measures and symmetrical proportions of the structure of the temple. It was thus, implemented and the formations of the temple were done with the strict norms and regulations of the ancient carpentry and building systems. Daily poojas: 05.00 AM Nirmalya Darsanam 07.00 AM Uchapooja, Seeveli 08.00 AM to 09.00 AM Pantheeradipooja 10.30 AM Uchapooja, Seeveli 11.00 AM Temple Closes 05.00 PM Temple Opens 06.15 PM to 06.40 PM Dheeparadhana 08.15 PM Athazhapooja, Seeveli 09.00 PM Harivarasanam

Really good place to visit in Coimbatore. This temple is very closer to Gandhipuram bus stand. Really neat and clean. Before entering the temple we have to wash our legs, they have arranged taps infront of the temple. Overall good experience. I recommend everyone to visit this temple.

The common name for this temple is Siddhapudur Ayyappan Temple. Lord Ayyappan is housed in the temple. The temple is kept up really clean and orderly. The building is designed in accordance with the South Indian Vedic influences. This was a packed temple where priests with vedic knowledge conducted numerous ceremonies related to the poojas and other events held there. Here, the Tamil month of Karthikai holds great significance, with special poojas being held. If you have the opportunity to come once, you will have the opportunity to experience Kerala architecture and tradition. One of the notable temple in Coimbatore.

Phones are not allowed inside the temple, so make sure to arrange for that in advance. Usually it is crowded on weekends unless you go at opening time. It stays closed in the afternoon from 12 to 5. Inside, the whole stone structured temple is illuminated with lamps and lights which make it a beautiful sight to see.

Divine experience. Temple of Swamy Ayyappa in coimbatore is well known for its occasional festives for the lord. You can offer your prayers to Lord Ayyappa and also contribute to his favorable dhanam, Annadhanam. In this templae you have a separate space for making your Irumudi and a lot of travel organisers are in and around the temple for Sabarimala. If your planning to visit, make sure you find a parking space for your vehicles. As the rod is too narrow for parkingand it will get filled with vehicleswithin minutes.

when entering the temple, couldn't believe that I just got cut off from all chaos of coimbatore city. was feeling very blissfull, perfect kerala temple. it had the sanctity, very cooperative management. clean temple. Pilgrims from all over India hail to this place during their Sabarimala Pilgrimage, as this place serves as a resting place during the long travel towards Sabarimalai. The temple is really peaceful & has a lot of positive energy & feeling.

My visit to Siddhapudur Iyyappan Temple was truly enriching. The serene atmosphere and the beautiful architecture create a tranquil setting for spiritual reflection. The temple staff's warm welcome and willingness to share information added to the overall positive experience. I felt a sense of peace and devotion during my time there, making it a place I would recommend to anyone seeking a spiritual retreat or a moment of quiet contemplation. Siddhapudur Iyyappan Temple radiates a special charm, making it a gem in the community.

Nice temple right at the center of the town. Great architecture of the temple which is more like the Dravidian style. There is Lord Ayyappan Temple at the center, Lord Ganesha at the entrance, Navagraha at the right corner and a Shiva temple at the far east corner. There is a small canteen for the Prasadam. Was there on the 1st Jan. It was a good way to begin the new year - quick visit to the Temple for the blessings before heading to Adi Yoga sightseeing. Parking is a challenge, especially for big vehicles as the temple is right next to a busy main road. Best is to park a few streets ahead of the temple. There are a few shops which sell puja items and brass items.

There are also shrines of Guruvayur (Lord Vishnu), Shiva and Parvati, Ganapati, Murugan, Hanuman and Navagraha. One can make bookings for Ganpati Homam and other rituals. The temple closes early for afternoon break at 11:00 am. They also have the procession of the Lord at 7:00 am and around 11:00 am everyday.

Famous ayyapa temple in Coimbatore. This temple has got an interesting history. It all began in the year 1942 with some Ayyappa devotees forming into a small pooja group doing Ayyappa bhajans in a makeshift place. During traditional mandala pooja, they started Ayyappan Vilakku Pooja before going on a Sabarimalai Yathra. During 1955, the registration under the society act, took place in the name of “THE COIMBATORE SREE AYYAPPA SEVA SANGAM”. Gradually the development was attended with the guidance of devotees. In the year 1958, a land was acquired at Siddhapudur to construct a temple. An industrialist Sri Narasi Thulasidas provided a shed at the temple site. The devotees installed a portrait of Lord Sri Ayyappaswamy.

I use to visit every Saturday. The week cannot go smooth if I missed to go. Ayyappa is My lucky god. I use to dedicate my happiness to him and when I in sad or difficult situation, just a pray to lord ayyappa solves . Except one small hurdle here is annadhanam. I don't prefer to have annadhanam at this temple as the person serving food is behaving harsh to people and behaving like he is serving food on his pocket money.Swamy Saranam

Sree Ayyappa temple is overall peaceful. It resembles so much like temples in Kerala. The location is easy to find, just on the side of the road. Good ambience in the temple.
