Marc’s cafe- store 🤍 I recently visited Marc's Cafe and was thoroughly impressed with my dining experience ❤️.From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the charming decor and ambiance of the restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive, always making sure that my needs were met. The food was just delicious. I tried Turkish cold coffee ☕️ and mango 🥭 soda was unique. Overall, I highly recommend. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch and I can't wait to visit again in the future.

Marc's Café is as quaint as they come! They've got a beautiful setting, being one of the very few cafes with air conditioned seating, and with some live music! Their collection of baked items is amazing, and looks too lucrative to miss. The owners and workers here are polite and helpful, but extremely busy due to the constant running orders. Service could be better, but that's a factor of speed Vs quality, and I'd choose quality always. The quantity of some items wasn't fulfilling enough (e.g., baked beans in the English Breakfast). The taste too is geared more towards foreigner tourists, and considering that half the patrons weren't Indian, I'll not criticize the taste, that was just spicy and tangy enough to keep Indian taste buds happy without spices. Their core theme is Coffee, and they serve so many varieties, it's overwhelming for a non-coffee person to even be in the atmosphere. The Pasta was spicy, but everything else was low on spices, salts and sugar - healthy, no doubt.

Lemme tell you very outrightly and very clearly.... this is one of the best places to visit and enjoy your meal there. Carefully crafted menu, food quality, ambience and everything related. Awesome feel we got there. We went there for brunch and had a couple of items. Everything ranging from juice., coffee, croissant, barcelona combo, omelette... and trust me everything is awesome. It's the only place in pondicherry which I liked among the places we visited l, even in the Whitetown and in Auroville. Just remember, Wednesday they are closed.

Visited this place on our way to Auroville and we’re not disappointed. Ambience is good and so was the food. They do have staff for service however that might be slow so it is better to choose self service to get ur food on time. A definite recommend.

Had a great time here and is the best coffee spot in auroville. Tried their hot cocoa latte and their kombucha sampler set and I liked everything. I'd go there just for the ambience since it looks very vintage, cosy and great lighting to just sit and enjoy. The staff are friendly but I feel like their service was a bit lacking hence the four stars. 9/10 will visit again.

Such a cozy cafe selling one of the best coffee in town. It’s a coffee place with lovely ambience, cheerful crowd and the most polite staff making your experience even more special. They also sell coffee beans/ powder at the store as well as online (shipping across India) don’t forget to try pesto dosa (yes it’s a fusion that tastes really great)

An absolute delight for vegans out there. The place was a highlight for me during my trip to Auroville. Had heard about this cafe and wanted to try it out in person and clearly the cafe didn't disappoint me. Has plenty of vegan options and all of them are an absolute delight to the taste buds. Ambience of this place is super classy and the quality of the food is at par with the ambience. If you are on a trip to Auroville definitely try this place out. Highly recommended.

A beautiful cafe. They serve a wide range of coffees. The food is good too. Special mention for the spicy Mayan hot chocolate and crisp croissants. A great place to spend a lazy afternoon.

Better than bread and chocolate in my opinion. They have very detailed knowledge of coffee and everything here tastes amazing. The cafe has a lovely vibe, they have a mini museum of coffee equipment. Needless to say the coffee tastes amazing. We had a white chocolate blondy, a flat white and a cortado and it amounted to 350 bucks. If you found this review helpful, please like it :)

Its a lovely beautiful café in Auroville. Must visit shop. A perfect place to have coffee in morning. You will like Croissant, cold coffee, juices in this shop. You can play board games that are available in the shop. Place is beautiful, you get a pleasant feeling when you enter the cafe. Have a try .

The Marc’s Cafe was really amazing and good options for cafe like food. Many gluten free and vegan options. The host was lovely and was helpful and definitely very kind. Everyone at Marc’s was just nice. The ambience was so good and peaceful. The cafe had good vibes. We tried the coffee walnut cake, with ice tea and coffee drip. Along with that we had Arrabbiata pasta, the most tasty I had in a long long time. Also, it was pocket friendly. Really enjoyed still and chatting there.

Lovely little place with awesome salads and croissants. We had a paleo salad and a fruit salad with gelato…5🌟for both. The chocolate croissant was delicious too. The orange juice was super fresh and the ginger mint drink was 👌🏼. Staff is cordial and serves with a smile.

One of my favorite hangout places in Auroville. The food and coffee are absolutely delicious. The ambiance is great and there is always something new, always some changes to the space. The staff are extremely cordial and accommodating and i love the fact that they all wear lovely well coordinated handwoven/floral/designer/and more shirts. Adds a lovely touch to the space! I am yet to eat/drink something (only veg) that I didn't enjoy here and I have eaten practically everything possible.

Absolutely incredible coffee.. you will want to come again and again to try the many varieties available. Service is prompt and quick. Parking is available outside, seating is available inside and outside as well. We tried the thai cold coffee, airspresso, and the classic espresso. Loved each of them. 😍

Let me start off my review by mentioning that I am a coffee geek and I did not try the food in this speciality coffee shop. I read a few negative reviews here, and I reckon that a few people have no appreciation for quality stuff, or for people working hard and trying to make a living. Here's my take on what these guys are really upto! I have been ordering online from Marc's from over 18 months now. I consume an average of 90 grams of coffee a day, and I can safely say that these are one of the finest roasters that this country is blessed with! Marc, the owner himself is an absolute whole hearted person who takes utmost interest in sourcing, roasting and brewing coffee! A Q-grader (look up what that means & what value it holds) who is extremely passionate & knowledgeable about his coffee stands behind the counter and helps out customers to understand, buy or order coffee. I also had the croissant here and it was soft & delicious. The café itself has such a lovely vibe to it and the equipment is state of the art. They also extensively promote locally handmade ceramics to serve & sell their products. For anyone who is a coffee lover or if you would like to explore the complex world of coffee, please do yourself a favour & drop by! I spend 4 days in Pondicherry, but the best two hours was spent with this witty dude named Marc!

VEGANS!!! I searched for vegan food around Auroville and this place didn't come up on Google, so I'm here to boost the algorithm. This place is AMAZING. Such a cute vibe, excellent coffee, and loads of options for vegans! Pastries, brunch, plant-based milks... I wish we would've discovered it sooner. I will absolutely come back here the next time in in the Auroville area. Also... This is the *only* place that I've found DECAF coffee in India so far. Thank you! Highly recommend.

The world famous Marc’s Cafe is one among the several popular cafés located in Auroville. Though it’s not a very big place but the ambiance is very pleasant and the food and beverages we tried were delicious. The butter croissant was quite nice, cheese cake was wonderful and the drinks were appetising.

A very good flat white made with plant milk. Very good indeed: be mindful that it is also appropriately pricey. The cafe offers a relaxed and clean experience. Easy jazz floats out of the speakers. It's certainly not a classic Indian experience. However, it is worth going for that really great flat white. Please note - no cash payments here. As a foreign tourist, you will need your card.

The food and atmosphere was good but not up to the hype that was build around the place. The quantity wasn't that great but quality and taste were good. One of the major issues I had was that the coffee that we ordered with the food was only delivered after we had finished our food.

Easily one of the best cafes in India...A very nice blend of South Indian and European food. The in house gelatos were out of this world. The coffee is clearly their forte....couldn't keep my hands off the coffees to take a picture even!!! Overall a must visit when in the area

There are times when you have a breakfast, not only your tummy is full but your heart too. Marc's cafe is one such a place for a healthy and hearty breakfast. Coffee was so good and the cookies we brought home were mouth melting. Simple,cute cozy place for everyone.

Had a ham sandwich and chicken sandwich along with butterscotch milkshake and orange juice. Shake had good taste and orange juice was also nice. The sandwich was a bit dry and hard to eat. The ambience is the best part with bright colors everywhere. The place is famous for it's different varieties of coffee. Must for a coffee lover.

Marc’s cafe is one of the best cafe in Pondicherry. To begin with it has beautiful decor and ambience. Aroma of the cafe is pleasant and vibe is soothing. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. It is usually very buzy on the weekends. Coffee and bakery items are so delectable. You just can’t miss this cafe on your Pondicherry trip.

Authentic coffee bar/café experience - aesthetically designed interiors with sufficient seating (variety of options). Expansive coffee, herbal drink/beverage menu along with food and pastry. Tried the Mayan Cacao, Beetroot Kvaas, Oat cookie and Chocolate Oat cookie (gluten free) Mayan Cacao could have been served more warmer to highlight the notes of chilli in it. Tasted good otherwise. Beetroot Kvass was refreshing and enticing to the taste buds. Cookies were disappointing - Oat cookie was too crumbly and airy whereas the gluten free option was too hard to bite and chew and almost tasteless. Wanted to try the kefir's but was informed that they weren't available only to hear them suggest the lemon kefir enthusiastically to another customer 15 minutes later.

One of the Best places to go if you are a coffee lover. The varieties of coffee are served. The rates are slightly high but the experience is worth it. They have a bakery where they provide a variety of cakes and cookies. With Decent ambience nice place to sit and have a chat.

Their coffee is the best coffee I had so far in India. Even café chains or franchise doesn’t have this great coffee. Their ambiance is also very soothing. Staffs are so friendly and help you out for anything. I would visit this place again anytime when I am visiting Pondicherry or Auroville

It’s a very cute place in Auroville, has amazing coffee, like the best coffee I’ve had. The person behind the counter is excellent at suggesting coffees and anyone who’s a coffee lover must try their blends. They have authentic pastas too coz this was the first time I ever found someone serve pesto as is without adding cream. I loved the place and would suggest everyone visiting Auroville to try it out.

Probably the best cafe in Auroville.! It’s around 2KMs inside from the main road and walkable distance from the Aurovilles’ shopping centre/bazaar. Usually it’s crowded in the evenings. Food and the ambiance was excellent. Overall the Café gives a retro vibe as soon as you enter. South Indian breakfast is a bit costlier but the other items are priced pretty nominal. I liked the Chocolate Chip Muffins very much. Best place to hang out with friends 👍

Awesome place. Really chill and laid-back place. The ladies there are very nice and helpful if confused. We had the big Ben and Barcelona breakfast. It had every thing that you would want in a breakfast. Well cooked eggs and ham. Would recommend everyone to visit this place.

Amazing unique options with ambience. Outdoor seating with good weather in the morning is perfect for breakfast. Good variety of vegan, veg and non-veg options. Coffee is incredible, all is made with Indian Coffee Beans! Definitely recommend to check it out for breakfast.

One of the bucket list! The moment our gang entered, we fell in love with the lady clad in saree and so humble to serve us. We couldn't stop ordering. My personal favorite order was 'Affogato and Carrot Cake'. My one friend ordered 'Croissant'. My another friend ordered 'Chemex'. Nothing failed! Love this place. Will come back again.

The pain au chocolat was lovely, although I wouldn't have minded ten more seconds in the microwave to really get that chocolate oozing. But these are mere trifles! The ambience is simply divine, and the the staff is lovely.

First day in Auroville and we landed directly at Marc's cafe for lunch. Having seen good reviews, we gave it a go. FOOD ✅Beet Kvass Refreshing and healthy. Beet based lacto fermented probiotic drink. Different drink and perfect for health conscious people. #WorthATry ↔️ Ginger Mint Soda Good flavour but had hardly any fizz and not chilled enough. #Passable ↔️ Cold Cacao A good choice of drink for dark chocolate lovers. It's made from 74% cacao and quite bitter, if you aren't accustomed to having it. #Passable ✅Paleo Salad A bowl of health and goodness of protien - kidney beans, sprouts, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, microgreens & apple. #wholesome ❌Cheesy Sandwich Veggies and cheese grilled sandwich is the most basic dish, that I didn't expect could go wrong in a cafe but it did. It was served alongside some salad which was very fresh and healthy. And that apparently was the highlight of the dish. #avoidable ❌Pesto Pasta Linguine pasta in pesto sauce is my all time favourite. However, this seemed like instead of pesto, a paste of crushed Tulsi leaves was tossed with the pasta, with no hint of pinenuts or walnuts. Portion size was more than enough for two. 🌰NUTSHELL REVIEW Overall, we were disappointed with most of the food and beverages ordered. One thing that stood out was the Service! 👍 We had to request modification for the Pasta and Cold Cacao and they did it with a smile on their faces and that was the best part about visiting this cafe.

I visited this cafe recently.. it's a warm and welcoming place .. the menu card however depicts wrong map of India.. I brought it up with the cashier at store too .. this must be rectified at the earliest .. will change the rating once you fix it ..

One of the classiest speciality coffee store-cum cafe I have visited till date. Their wintertide coffee blend is to die for and the ambiance is just amazing. They do a really good job with their roasts. Kudos to Marc and team for making my evening a refreshing one !

A good place to get your morning coffee or your evening snack like cakes and sandwiches. Loved their sandwiches and flat white coffee. Friendly staff as well. Getting a place inside during busy hours can be difficult but they having seating outside as well.
