Have always loved this place!! It was built during the depression when men needed jobs to survive. It has awesome views of the lake & marina As a kid my family always spent most of the summers on this lake. It was the best of times coming here during those summer holidays. Lots of great memories with many of my cousins. We'd explore anything & everything. So very nostalgic for me. Some things have changed but for the good. Back then we didn't think about safety hazards or stuff like that. Lord It's a miracle we didn't get hurt or bitten by something.. lol 😏 I did get poison ivy a few times so if walking outside of the tower know your foliage & don't lean on the trees with vines. 🤪

I love Tucker Tower! This was my second trip because I wanted to share it with my grandchildren. There's a lovely nature center on the same location, so you get to enjoy the center before walking up to the tower. It is steeped in history - so interesting! My grandchildren are 8 and 6, and they had a blast. We were camping at Lake Murray, and they asked to go back to the tower again. Such a fun adventure! :)

A good place for either a small adventure as a couple or with family. I'd advise to go during less hot days. You do have to pay $10 to park which I understand the price to keep up with maintenance of the historical place. Fun activities inside the small learning center for all ages. Lovely view of the whole lake on top of the tower giving you a 360 chance to see in every side.

Such a good story, love the information and museum here, Lake Murray is a must see for anyone passing through. Tucker Tower has alot of information about the park and feeds the curiosity of both the young and old with facts and exhibits directly related to the area. Kids can ask for a booklet to become Junior Park Nationalist and get their badge for going in depth into the exhibits of what makes this place so great. For the real dirt on Governor Murray and the story of this lake/tower, ask the local guide on the boat tour from the Lake Murray Water Sports and Mini Golf located near The Lodge. 👌

Came here Saturday morning around 10:30. Enjoyed it so much. We came down from texas for our friends birthday and he enjoyed it as well. Luckily the day we chose to come was not as hot so that was a plus. There were so many spots to hang out at. Less than 10 mins away are some campgrounds. They have restrooms at the museum before making your way to the tower.

Very beautiful sight seeing spot. When you go up the hill you will step on the balcony area which goes around the tower. Enter the building to see artifacts and then climb more stairs towards the spiral staircase to go to the very top to get the best view. Warning: this part can be scary for people who are scared of heights. Overall a good experience. Only thing is it is not handicap accessible. After you come down, do visit the visitor center. They have some snakes and lizards on display and crafts for kids.

Such a good place to visit. We went on friday and it was so calm and nice to visit. Lot to learn about history. We just went on a day trip but camping would be far better. Marina beach is also great. Water sports to enjoy there. Best thing is blue water and nature.
