The Pride of Perambalur @ Tamil Nadu. The temple has located at Siruvachur NH 38. The exact location at temple Trichy - Perambalur National Highway. The only drawback after reach Siruvachur need to go for temple 2KM without Public transport but as you can arrange Auto rickshaw or by walk. I attract that after recent kumbabishekam they served 48 days free food continuously...🙏 👏

Siruvachur Sri Madhurakaliamman. Visited recently. (Under construction/repairs.) A powerful deity and kula deivam of many families and villages.. Opens only on Mondays and Fridays from 7 am to 9pm. Only few devotees, but the temple staff are charging ₹.50/-, ₹.100/- and ₹.200/- for darshan. Also free darshan available. Many devotees are bring/preparing Mavu vilakku to prey the deity. Once they prey, the devotees keep the Mavu vilakku in one place. within few minutes the cleaning staff throw all the Mavu vilakkus in a dust bin in front of devotees. Though the Madhurakaliamman is powerful, the staffs are more powerful than the diety.

On our way to Srirangam from Chennai during our recent road trip, had the good opportunity to worship Shri Mathura Kaliamman at Siruvachur, located 280 Kms from Chennai, 8 Kms from Perambalur and about 50 Kms from Trichy. The presiding deity is believed to be Kannagi who helped Chelliamman the local deity to be relieved from the control of an evil Tantriik. Kannagi invoking the powers of Kaali killed the tantrik and ensured Chelliamman regained her powers. Pleased with Kannagi, Chelliamman asked Kannagi to remain in her place at Siruvachur by the name Mathura Kaali and she moved to the nearby hills. Temple is open from 8am to 8 pm on Mondays and Fridays . It is believed that Mathura Kaali stays with Chelliamman on the remaining days of the week. Free, 25 Rs and 200 Rs Darshan is the practice in the temple.

It is in Perambalur district, you can see the temple arch from the bypass, however, currently the flyover work is going on, so you may need to take a turn to reach temple, which is little Hassel. Temple is one of my favorite devi temple, goddess will look very calm.

This temple is open only on Mondays and Fridays. The ticket price is nominal 100 person. But the people working there needs to be more organised in allowing the public for dharshan. People who were coming in free dharshan were given preferences over people who had got special entry tickets.

This temple is the abode of Goddess Madura Kali. It is a serene village surrounded by mountains beyond. Around a kilometre and half from NH, it is a pleasant and tranquil place, which is open only on Monday and Friday, apart from Full Moon and No Moon days and festivals. The ambience is quite peaceful and the temple is well preserved and maintained. Since the temple is open for few days only, there is crowd on most days. The deity is very powerful and prayers in this sthal are always answered favorably. A site of historic reverence and legend to behold as to its genesis, coupled with the visit of Shankaracharya, it is a place which is not to be missed if the time is convenient to you when you pass through NH45, just before Perambalur.

Sri Madhurakaali Amman Kovil Siruva choor is situated on the Trichy Madras National Highway beyond Padalur near Perambalur. On the left hand side you have to travel one kilometer to reach this temple. Madhurakaali Amman is the famous goddess of millions of people of this area. People usually visit this village temple with 'Mavilakku'(மாவிளக்கு), to fulfill their family vows. This temple is kept open only on Monday, Fridays and Amavasai and Pournami days. Timing: 6.30am to 9.00pm.... only on the above days. On the other days the temple remains closed. For fast tourist pilgrims, fast Darshan channel is available by paying Rs 100 per person. Suggestions: Better car parking facilities and restroom facilities may be made available by the government.

To sum up about this temple - Its easily fair to say that this goddess is a family God for many and the people come here in huge numbers during seasons like summer, Navarathri and some special occasions when the temple will be open for more number of days than the usual Monday and Friday. Recently this temple had Kumbhabhisekham and looking bright and beautiful. Still lacks basic amenities like wash area, clean public toilet. Cleanliness is something we cannot expect in this temple's outside premises. I don't want to talk about Dharshan, as it differs in person to person. Overall, i do love to go this temple because it's our family God and also because of the powerful nature of the god. Thanks!!

Our family deity. Temple open on only Mondays, Fridays every week. ( Also open on amavasya , pornami days) . Family deity of Kanchi Shankaracharya ( பெரியவர்). People who do not know their family deity can take either this temple or Tirupati . You will be surprised to see people from all castes , languages, subsects have Madhurakali as their family deity. Earlier the trip even from Trichy will consume a day. But these days it us simple. Evenings after 6 pm will be less crowded. ( Or you can visit before 7 AM for simple darshan) . But மாவிளக்கு can be performed only during morning Pooja. Temple is run by udayar families for generations. The prayers are simple . Pujaris need more support. Help them liberally. Also help the ladies helping out on making மாவிளக்கு மாவு ( ground rice flour for prasadam) Ashwins is a nice restaurant about 2 kms from the temple on the highway ( on the opposite side) . Thirupattur is another ancient temple to visit. ( About 20 kms) .
