The zen looking atmosphere made us think 528 would be a great place to have a late dinner/snack. However, we ordered a Carbonara which is a meal we have eaten before and loved. But it was extremely salty, maybe it was the bacon or too much salt in the water it was boiled in… we tried a few bites and it was unpleasant. To our surprise the almost untouched meal was still on our bill. The staff was instantly insulted and told us that it must be our taste buds that were wrong and also asked us which Country we came from… They would rather cause a scene yelling at their customers in front of the entire restaurant than try to reason with us about the meal. Finally they told us they would take it off the bill and left us waiting for 15 minutes and ignoring us. We went up to the counter to pay and they took it off the bill. However, they then added a €6.00 tip for the new bill. And accused the pending payment “tapping my visa” of not working and got angry again … when indeed the payment went through after a few moments. Save your money and don’t waste your time at 528! I have never felt so accused and embarrassed about something MOST restaurants in the service industry would deal with in a professional calm manner.

Nice drinks and lots of seating in and outside

This is a gem in the suburbs of Rome. Very chill cocktail bar. Good music, good food and excellent cocktails. I was mostly impressed with the mixologists that attended to me. I felt like I was home with great friends and family. Fabrizio and Eugenio were amazing. These guys made my night with great conversation and jokes. Marcos one of the owners came out spoke sports with me for a while. These are great people operating a quality establishment. I will make sure to stop by every time I am in Rome. They also gave me great advice on the best places to get Gelato and sites to see. Try any of their cocktails and you will be pleased.

Came here with wife to have our first dinner in Rome. Awesome find. The eggplant was very unique... A bit under salted. Rest of the meal was very good at it's price point.

San Giovani is becoming a hit and all Romans soon I'm sure they will head there for a night out. Lots of restaurants and bars/cafes. It was a very special occasion for a friend's birthday. Everything went just perfect. The food, the atmosphere, the service & the whole experience in general. We enjoyed this place a lot and will definitely go back again

My wife and I went here for an evening without the kids. Great vibe with creative and delicious food/drink offerings, and served up by fun and warm-hearted staff. Prices match the quality of meal and service. Thank you for a perfect evening!

Cheesecake was great but the carbonara was extremely salty. We complained and it was still put on our bill after it was taken away with only one bite missing. Once the bill came we addressed this and was asked what country we were from, and yelled at in front of the whole bar. Racist unprofessional staff who then left us there for over 15 minutes with no new bill. This place has a good atmosphere but needs a revamp on staff and the way they address all customers. Would not recommend to anyone. Save your money.

We went there my daughter and I on a sunday evening. I called 5 mn prior coming and Ludovica (which I discovered later is fantastic) booked us in a perfect English! Upon arrival we have been placed where we wanted, note that the space between tables allows intimacy. The menu is lovely with a choice of meal with a twist of magic touch. Ludovica helped us for every choices and picked our wines as per my request. It was a fantastic experience from A to Z, I guess that if you address to them with a minimum of manners they giving it to you back ten times better. Very convenient menu, cocktails list with fool information even percentage of alcohol. Interesting and delicious food. This restaurant was busy in contrast of nearby restaurants, but anyway service was good.

I’ve been there twice and it was really great experience. I’ve tasted foods I even didn’t imagine that I would try ever and everything was above my expectations. If you want to try something more than pasta and pizza this place is for you.
