Since moving to Italy in January of 2022, I've used Doctors in Italy four times and have had nothing but a stellar experience each time. The platform is incredibly easy to use, the Doctors have been kind, helpful and quick to follow-up, and the cost was extremely affordable (especially in contrast to the United States). I've had three doctors online and one in-person, all were easy to set up. Even getting prescriptions afterwards was incredibly easy. Have been struggling to find a Dr across Europe while travelling, however Doctors in Italy made everything incredibly easy! This service has been such a lifesaver. Have limited Italian has meant making doctors appointments quite challenging but Doctors in Italy make it so easy! The booking system is so efficient and being able to choose the times and dates you’re available is great. The Doctor I saw spoke perfect English as did the staff in the surgery & in all the whatsapp communication too. They put me at ease and answered all my queries, even following up a few days later to check I was happy with the appointment. Such a thorough and caring team. I’m so glad I found them and would certainly recommend.

Really helpful when you need a doctor in Italy. They have video consultations which helps a bunch as many consultations don't need to be in person. Easy communication through whatsapp, and customer service is quick to reach out and help you directly too! Doctors have varying prices so you might want to hold out a little bit until you get someone in your budget, but don't wait too long either or you might loose your spot. I just arrived in Italy and had to quarantine. I have never needed medical assistance abroad before so was very reluctant to seek immediate help but Doctors in Italy made it incredibly easy to find exactly what I needed. Amazing service! I was in a rush and had to fit my apointment in between classes, I was offered a video-consultation in under 2h and 30min after my consultations I had chatted with the doctor on camera, gotten a diagnosis and a prescription. Would definitely do it again as it is so convenient!

The service was so quick, efficient, and cheap. I think most people in the US fear going to the doctor because even with insurance, you can spend a lot of money when sick. Really impressed. Whilst on holiday in Spain over the festive season I had a problem with the roof of my mouth. I selected Dra Sanchez from the list of available doctors and within minutes received an acknowledgement informing me that the doctor would contact me by video link at 10:30. Received the video call and explained my problem, which Doctor Sanchez understood immediately. She prescribed treatment and said she would forward a prescription shortly. All for a very reasonable fee of €20! The prescription arrived within minutes. We then asked our hotel receptionist to forward the prescription to the local pharmacy, which she did and we were informed we could collect the medication at 18:30 that evening. We took a taxi to the pharmacy accordingly and, sure enough, the medication was ready and we were charged a measly €9. Very impressed and pleased. Great service and very reasonable cost. It's scary landing in a new place and getting sick, especially if you haven't learned the language yet. DoctorsinItaly was really helpful in helping me quickly get connected to an English-speaking doctor who was able to offer me a video consultation within two hours, putting my mind at ease. They had great follow up, and were very helpful all around.

Excellent service. In under two hours I'd spoken to a Doctor in English, received a prescription electronically, and been able to get the medicine at the locale pharmacy. Totally saved my hiking holiday when I'd fallen ill in a remote little village. Like all these types of services for people on holiday, bear in mind the Doctor won't have your medical record, so can only go on the information you provide. I was able to send a very detailed message on WhatsApp before my appointment so that the doctor had everything she needed. Made life easy for both of us. The prices of Doctors varies greatly (I assume they set their own price) so it might be worth waiting for a few connections to come in so you can assess price, if that's a concern for you. I had offers of €25 to €80 for a video consultation.

Highly recommend! We arrived in Italy and realized we left out daughters antibiotics behind. Doctors in Italy saved the day! We were able to set up a same day zoom appointment and picked up the prescription that evening. The doctor (English speaking) was kind, very helpful and efficient. The doctor Simone Cerciello was nice. He explain a bit faster, but he answered my question. I went for a second time after the resonance and he explain me better when it was clear diagnostic of my issues. Excellent service, just what I needed. I got sick early in my trip and put off seeking medical advice since it was a tourist. I happened upon this website and was blown away by the service. I requested a video chat appointment and got scheduled with a doctor almost immediately. Dr. Omar Elhamy was very attentive to my description of my symptoms and just made the experience flawless. Any scripts are emailed to you and then you can take that to the pharmacy with no problem. Highly recommend this to anyone who is not feeling well when traveling.

I chose this group because I was confident that language would not be an issue. I was pleased to discover a large number of possible physicians who were available for either a visit in person or online consult which was very convenient. Although I was unable to get a response to several procedural questions via their website on a Sunday night, my questions were answered the following day using What’s App chat. I contacted the service from my hotel in Rome where they have collaborators who can provide X-rays , should I need them and they send an online prescription you can bring to any pharmacy. The doctor check to see if any of my current prescriptions were contra indicated before prescribing a pain medication. I was surprised at how reasonable the cost us for medical services, even with a private doctor providing the consult.

Really good experience! I was on Erasmus and didn’t really know where to go to the doctor, how much it supposed to cost and so on. Also I needed quick help and medication. I found this website and wasn’t really sure what to expect. When I wrote down my problem, they offered me multiple doctors to choose from, which is definitely a huge plus. What an amazing experience. When I unexpectedly needed medical care while travelling in Italy, I came across Doctors in Italy. I will admit I was a bit nervous at first - it seemed too easy/too good to be true. I proceeded with booking an appointment and can definitely confirm this service is not only legitimate, but absolutely wonderful! After requesting an appointment, I had several options to see a physician as early as a same day appointment. Both in person and virtual care options are available. The price ranges depending on the physician and their speciality, but for a primary care consultation I paid 40 euros. The physician who helped me was extremely kind and efficient. The prescription was sent to me within minutes and I had no issues having it dispensed at the pharmacy. For insurance purposes, the doctor can write you a quick note to submit to your provider. He then followed up a few days later and provided further medical services. It was such a relief as an international traveller unwell in a foreign country. And very affordable. Can't recommend highly enough.

I was able to get in touch with a doctor of my choosing (Dr. Rosti) who was very pleasant to deal with. Dr. Rosti addressed my needs promptly and prescribed me the medications I needed. Doctors in Italy provided a fantastic service on my recent trip to Rome. Dr arrived at my Hotel within one hour of my emailed message and was very professional and extremely helpful. I had been suffering with a dental abscess & I had been treated with antibiotics, whilst I was on a cruise but required more antibiotics to get me home.Having worked in hospitals for over 38 years I can honestly say I very impressed with the Doctor and the treatment he gave me. Extremely disappointed in the care of the health professional I saw recently. Whilst communication with the reception team was outstanding, the Dr that came to my hotel whilst I was extremely ill was less than satisfactory. In the initial contact I listed my symptoms via the website, however I was sent a Dr specializing in Dermatology (which was not required). I was told that the pain in my head, neck and jaw were "probably due to sleeping with wet hair". This didn't explain the week of extremely high fevers I had been experiencing. I continued to implore my Dr to check my ears as I had had two perforated eardrums, said Dr didn't check my ears. Instead, checked my tonsils to rule out glandular fever. I was then told to visit a Doctor of Chinese Medicine to adjust my neck... Please send appropriately qualified Dr's who are willing to listen to patients while they are acutely ill in a foreign country. I wasted 150EURO for zero advice or care and have since found out the delay in proper treatment have caused permanent, long term damage. Disappointed is an understatement...

Very satisfied with Doctors in Italy and Dr Watanabe. My wife, son and are from New York City and were visiting Rome on vacation. I developed a severe cough, fever and chills overnight. First day of my Europe holiday and needed a doctor. I was really glad I found Doctors in Italy. The staff spoke English and the doctor provided very great care.

I booked the appointment over the internet and paid online. However, they did not send me a proper invoice, and the doctor said i should write them an email. I asked twice for an invoice and they ignored my emails. Now i can not get my money back from my insurance. Avoid this place at all costs! Just google and you will find many sites and doctors in rome that speak english. Don't be fooled by this place like i was!!!

Excellent and easy to use service. Needed to have my Mum seen by a doctor, and as we were in Trastevere and Mum was poorly, it was much easier to arrange a housecall at our AirBnb. Communication (after submitting a request online) with Flavia via email was great. Price was 150 Euro for a housecall as listed. We got seen same day, and Dr Dell'Unto was wonderful, friendly and put Mum at ease. We got the documentation (medical assesment/report) needed to put in a claim with our travel insurance provider within a few days (I also scanned the perscription/pharmacy receipts/etc to add to it) and they checked up to see how Mum was feeling. I'm waiting to hear back from our insurer about the claim still (just to be transparent, for those wondering) but I am super happy with Doctors in Italy and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend them should you need it! An endocrinologist came to my holiday apartment the same day i wrote them and i felt completely taken care of as well as treated with respect and well listened to. I also had blood tests done at their office which all went easily and smoothly. I had an abdominal pain for a couple of days that I thought was a muscle pull. The third day I woke up with severe widespread stomach pain, a fever and nausea. They scheduled me for later that day. Dr. Watanabe saw me at about 5pm and immediately referred me to a wonderful clinic, Mater Dei, where Doctors in Italy facilitated my being seen right away without waiting. It turned out to be severre peritonitis and appendicitis. I was operated on that night and a week later am on the road to full recovery. This is an excellent professional service. I'm very grateful.

Highly recommend, I suddenly had a bad case of gastro whilst I was travelling through Rome and at one stage could not leave my AirBnb. The process was so easy, I made a booking and a doctor came to where I was staying to examine me. Dr Watanabe was thorough and made me feel very comfortable. After the examination I was given a script and all the documents that I needed to claim on my travel insurance was sent to me the following day. It's honestly the worst feeling being sick away from home but Doctors in Italy made me feel at ease. I did not have any issues because the staff stayed in contact with me via email and even on WhatsApp. A few days later both Dr Watanabe and the friendly staff messaged me to make sure I was feeling better. I was already back to exploring Rome after the Dr's consultation. If you're sick, get in contact with Doctors in Italy because they all speak English and are all so helpful.

I had an online appointment with a doctor and it was a disaster. I asked for a specialist in gynaecology and they sent me to this doctor who I didn't believe was a specialist. I used this service because I needed an expert around menopause and this doctor might have been a doctor but not a specialist in this field and if they are I worry for women across Italy because she was truly dreadful. Without taking notes about me, observing me, she actually told me I had to alter my diet and suggested I eat Marmalade and toast. Not kidding. She was twenty minutes late and couldn't work the audio. Either her English weak or her expertise. I told her I had to leave the call. It was a truly ridiculous assertion. Marmalade? I reached out to Doctors in Italy and they stood by her and her diagnosis of Marmalade. I did not get my money back. The problem being the money goes to the doctor and she refused. You go through their website to get the doctor, but they wouldn't take any responsibility, their reason. She's a doctor and we can prove it. Not the point. She is not a very good doctor. It was a stressful experience and I ended up talking to someone else who did take me seriously and did not suggest marmalade on toast with a nice cup of tea as a remedy. If you are seeing a doctor abroad I would see them in person (not online) and if it can wait until you get home then that's what to do. You are wasting your money otherwise and they don't care, they'll tangle you up and waste more of your time not taking responsibility and why? Because you are leaving the country and there's a language barrier which they WILL lean on to avoid responsibility. I wouldn't touch this service with a barge pole. I've given them one star for speedy response to emails taking money from my account and speedy response for making themselves unaccountable. If you are truly stuck get in touch with your insurance company - but a massive no to this service.

This lady saved the day on my holiday, my young daughter got very sick on her holiday and I use virtual gp through work in the uk so I decided to give this site a try and I was not disappointed. My child is on the mend now after taking her prescription, her fever has also broke. Price of doctor call was 30euro and Mia was actually available later via text regarding advice on Spanish paracetamol. Mia speaks fluent English, the prescription and paracetamol was only 14eiuro.. this is such a a low cost for my peace of mind and my child’s health.
