A very small and neat tribute museum to one of the great artists of Mexico and the world, despite the fact that they don’t have any genuine pieces from Frida’s expansive collection this is something interesting to kill time with if you find yourself with an extra hour to take the tour with. The guides are knowledgeable and know many interesting tidbits about her life. The reproductions they have are of high quality and are worth seeing. You can’t go wrong here for the $15 entrance fee. You’re probably on vacation just do it.

Beautiful exhibit and impressive staff! We decided to do a self tour instead of guided but they still interacted with us and have great insight into Frida. I wish the exhibit was bigger but it was still very engaging as is and I'm happy I got a chance to stop in.

Wonderful place to visit to be part of Frida Kahlo's life, art and love. The museum guides are professional and share the backround stories of Frida's paintings. Although it's a small museum without original works it's a great tribute for unforgettable person and artist. We went there with a family (2 adult + 2 teenagers) and spent there around 1,5 hour.

This is a MUST if you're in the area. I checked their website before travelling and honestly I felt it doesn't make justice to what you'll experience. Our guide was super friendly and he knew his field. I throw at him so many questions and he passionately answered them all. The museum it's very recent, they don't have the original paints, but the art of Frida it's show cased in great quality. You can also see art of other Mexican artists faithfully inspired by Frida and yet the focus it's still she, her story and her work. I learned a lot about Kahlo. The price for tourists it's higher but totally affordable.

It was a nice experience, but this place can hardly be called a museum. There's not a single original painting that was done by Frida. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able answer a lot of our questions.

My friends and I went here on our final day in Playa del Carmen and it was a very good experience. I learned a lot more about Frida Kahlo than I knew previously, thanks to our super friendly & very knowledgeable tour guide, Gimena. This little museum is definitely worth the visit.

We loved the museum and the girl who explained us the life and work of the geneus Frida Kahlo. The museum is small, it has few paintings but it's a great place to learn more about the painters life and artistic expression. Highly recomended!

Really enjoyed the tour of this small museum dedicated to Frida Kahlo, this is a small exhibition but also an immersive experience. Quality over quantity. Lovely guides and a wealth of Frida Kahlo gifts to suit every price range in the shop,

They put together a beautiful place to honor Frida Khalo. Her main art pieces and history. I enjoyed it very much.

Absolutely fantastic museum. Small and quaint yet the wonderful Louisa gave us the most in-depth tour and information on Friday's life story. It was such a joy to escape the tourist area and immerse myself in some real history and art. Please visit this wonderful museum not to be missed and get a guided tour!

A charming little museum with fabulous details of Frida's life. Great reproductions of her paintings. Luisa was a wonderful guide, so knowledgeable, and her English is impeccable. Gave me so much of the backstory of those times in Mexico, so this is more than just about Frida. Well worth 1-1.5 hours of your time, especially if it's raining out.

Guide was extremely detailed and very engaging. Loved the tour. The exhibit itself is not super big but we were able to spend 2 hours there. Tour guide comes with admissions. General admission is 18. High school students is 15. Kids are free. There are many different aspects of the exhibit that are more engaging like 360 videos. Overall the whole exhibit is gorgeous and great for pictures. Highly recommend but a bit pricey I must say.

what a wholesome experience! I came in expecting a quick walk around the museum but instead Luisa gave us a tour with the full history of Frida and answering all the questions I’ve had about her journey. You can feel the passion and the knowledge that the workers have working there.

Nice small museum dedicated to the life and work of Frida Kahlo. No original works therein, but the guides (kudos to Wendy) will provide you with a lot of insights about the artist. Definitely worthy a visit.

Nice to see and learn more about Frida her life and see some art copies. It is a small museum, friendly people are working here.

The museum is really interesting and gives you lots of information about her life and art work. But I think that it’s a bit overpriced for such a small museum.

Alejandra was our guide and she was amazing. Walked us through and told us everything about Frida. Slight odor of the building but happy we got to see the exhibit.

I was so excited to visit the museum. I absolutely love Frida! The air conditioning was a nice bonus!

This museum is not permanently closed. Seemly is shut down due to covid or just before, which was very disappointing.

This is a lovely little tribute to Frida. Don’t expect original paintings but the whole museum is well thought out with súper friendly staff . We arrived too late for a guided tour but the story of Frida’s life is well documented . There are some nice interactive screens at the end and a charming gift shop . It would be lovely to have a small cafe. For me this was a gem in the brashness of Playa . Loved the vibe .

Being a huge Frida Kahlo fan this place is a must, really nice photo ops outside and great photo opportunities inside. The only thing is a small museum and if you already went to Casa Azul or you know Fridas bio by mind you’re not gonna learn a lot of more stuff. The guide tour guy was nice and in comparison with other English tours he was clear in his accent and also answering all the questions and snapping pictures of people.

It's a great little museum... hopefully more funding to help it grow

A wonderful dedication to Frida Kahlo. Thoroughly knowledgeable and engaging hosts showcase her life and emotions through Frida's art. An absolute treat to visit, even for those with just a passing interest in culture and art.
