We're lucky enough to live right next to this beautiful park, it's in walking distance from our house. We enjoy to go for walks with our little boy. In the winter during lockdowns it got quite busy at times as there wasn't a lot else to do. But still beautiful and enjoyable even when busy. There are lots of little areas to walk around, little streams and rock pools for the dogs to splash in (we don't have dogs but we see lots enjoying themselves there). Duck pond and picnic tables - we tend to take a packed lunch and/or snacks and sit at the tables enjoying the scenery, then head to the duck pond, and then walk around. Beautiful scenic walks with plenty of space - perfect for getting some much needed fresh air! There are two car parks I believe; they are pay and display - haven't used them ourselves as we walk there and back with it being so close. There is also a cafe that sells food, cakes and hot drinks etc. Very nice! And every so often there will be an artisan market or craft market on - lovely little boutique buys, lots of small businesses to support. Definitely worth a visit when they are on too. Would highly recommend Cuerden Valley Park to all who love the great outdoors.

A small park, the path is about 2.5km around, car park to reservoir and back again. A perfect place to walk the dog with plenty for them to sniff.

Superb country park great for kids and pets and very accessible. 650 acres of green oasis for you to explore, discover and relax in, with the River Lostock meandering through; close to junction 29 of the M6, between Preston and Chorley.

Visited for 1st time today and will definitely go back! Lovely park for walking the dogs and children. Shallow river runs through it so lots of opportunities for dogs and children to have fun in it. Main paths are pram and wheelchair friendly but there are also more difficult ones if you want to go off the beaten track. Didn't have time to explore all the park but saw 2 picnic areas, 1 of which the picnic benches had a metal plate for bbqs and a special bin for ashes. Lots of other benches as you explore and plenty of bins. There is a large lake with ducks, geese etc but you cannot walk all the way around it as part of it is edged with a designated nature reserve that public cannot access. The cafe is lovely and definitely worth a visit. It is dog friendly and has a balcony with outdoor seating. The views from the cafe are lovely and if you sit near the bird feeder you can bird watch while you eat. They serve breakfast up to 11.30. Prices are a little expensive but food was good. Staff were pleasant and polite. Toilets were immaculate and well equipped. There is a separate disabled toilet with baby changing facilities. There are a few car parks which are pay and display - reasonably priced and take card or phone payments as well as cash. Disabled spaces are available near the visitors centre and there are also bike racks.

Nice walk, nature was preserved really well. Lovely sounds of birds, water flowing and saw a squirrel close up. It’s pay and display parking with meter. Nice for a picnic or stroll. Good for dog walkers, cyclists and joggers as well. The dogs weren’t all on leads and did sniff/lick people. No dog poo left around though which is brilliant! The reservoir is not really maintained and is overgrown with weeds, otherwise would be lovely. #preston

This is a great place to visit, especially with your dog. The cafe is also dog friendly and offers a good choice of menu.

Peaceful hills and hollows, interspersed with woodland. Well maintained tarmac major footpaths, but woodland paths are earth/leaf mould. Lots of dog walkers, with dogs in and out of the river and lake! Cafe open, but extension work underway, heavy machinery and fenced-off area. Ditto the Hall itself is not accessible. Apart from the space to run around, not a lot to occupy children.

Always wanted to go here. Finally went last week & I have to say I was seriously unimpressed!. Yes it has wide open countryside but just didn't do it for me. I am a keen photographer & hopes of being able to take some great shots didn't not materialise. Walked from the visitors centre past Cuerden Hall & down/up to the small lake. Very few birds & very little else to take pictures off. Lots of 'poo bags in trees though!' (Shame on you dog walkers!) I can't walk too far these days (health issues) but probably covered around 3/4 mile into the park. Lots of dogs with owners (understandably) but like most open spaces these days wildlife & Dogs don't mix. Paid for 4 hrs parking...left after 1ΒΎ hours!. Then drove home & went to Yarrow Valley Park...still dogs & owners but within 30 mins my camera was full of pictures (birds everywhere & it's free). Sorry Cuerden won't be going back I'm afraid.

Great little stop just off the motorway with plenty of picnic benches either by the cafe or further down if you fancy a wander first. Short circular walk from the cafe with lots of flowers and wildlife to see on good, dry paths so no need for boots or to worry about getting muddy. Enjoyed with my 4 year old boys and wife.

Absolutely love this park, you can have a very pleasant walk around, but not go for miles, a lovely river running through it for the pooches to cool off if needed, especially in summer, woods for the shade and stepping stones and bridges, it very pretty, a big lake for the kids (or adults) to feed the ducks would go there every day if I could or had time. There is a cafΓ© open 10am to 4pm obviously with toilets, very dog friendly cafΓ© and park in general, and a picnic area which is well used in the summer months.

Having been yesterday on our πŸ’‘ anniversary we've been supervised by the location and quietly spot. Cafe is really good-the best part of it-is panoramic wiew from top of. Forest way is quiet and very relaxing. I highly recommended to visit. A very satisfied customer and visitor.

Very good place for walks, on your own, with kids or dogs. Got several car parks in different locations, small cafe on top hill with lovely views

Beautiful walks, great for dogs. Sadly the cafe is a bit poorly managed with one person serving and countless other staff walking around seemingly not doing a great deal. On a warm Sunday afternoon, a place like this is going to be busy. But alas, like many other places we've been to, the customer service left a lot to be desired. And no apology to the customers waiting over 10 minutes for 1 coffee. Needs to be be more efficiently managed I'm afraid.

Really uncomfortable walk with my small child as the park is completely overrun by so many dogs which were out of control. Dog owners were letting dogs fight each other and harass us. There is not much car parking and people seemed to park wherever they wanted. I donated money on entrance to our first visit but really disappointed, it was chaos. We will not be returning.

Perfect dog walking park full of streams and woodland areas. The cafe is lovely. Very Covid aware, super dog friendly, delicious food and friendly staff! The parking fee supports the upkeep of the park.

Good place for a walk. Didn't spend much time to explore. No toilet there is one thing concerning
