Want to spend a day out shedding that extra weight that you have put on or want to see how jungle looks in real? Or you wanna camp at the site that sits on the top of the world or just want to do a hike that gives you a day off from your daily routine, for anything that you seek this place is the best spot. A less than 2 hours drive from Chandigarh and you reach a place that seems like frozen in time. There are many stories related to this amazing trek and the one that dominates is about Mahabharata. Pandavs during their 14 year long exile lived at this mountain top for a brief period. Yes, you heard that right. As per the legend of this mountain, Pandavs used this cave to escape kauravs. The tale even goes further. In the times of Ramayana, Hindu god Hanuman G picked up an entire mountain after not being able to decipher which one was a sanjivani booti, a part of that mountain fell in Himachal pradesh while he was flying with the entire mountain, and Karol Tibba is said to be that part of mountain. Hence, its significance to those who believe in it is even more. But what transpired to me was the beauty of this place. A trek that consists of every element of adventure. If you wish yo experience walking through dense forest or walking on single trails that gives you goosebumps when you look to the down side or if you wish to find an isolated spot for over night camping, then there is nothing better than making your way to Karol Tibba.

Amazing location. A trek which takes around 3.5 hours one side from Solan. Karol Tibba located at an altitude of 2240 metres is highest peak of Solan region. It is an apt single day trek near Chandigarh. Trek starts from railway crossing of Chambaghat, which is 6 kms from Solan on Solan – Shimla road. There is a temple dedicated to Goddess Kali at Karol Peak. Along the trek, we also visit famous Pandva Gufa/cave, which is the oldest and longest cave in Himalayas. Cave starts here and ends in Pinjore. Currently, one can go only until 200 metres inside the cave. Apart from mythological reasons, trek offers panoramic views of Solan town and on a clear day one can get to see Churdhar top and Shimla city too. Initial 1 km of the trek is through well-laid brick surface and after that, trail passes through grasslands for 3 kms and final trail of 2 kms till Pandava cave is through forest.

A must visit place for localities as well as visitors. Located in Solan. An amazing trek of 6-7km. So serene, peaceful and the view from the top is amazing. One can also visit the pandav gufa which is also located nearby after visiting the top. You can easily spend the whole day here . Take plenty of water as there are no water resources on the way. But you will find one near the temple as well as the caves. Try visiting during the winter months as you will enjoy more . Nov to February are the best months to visit. If lucky you can get to see snow . Do visit once. You'll absolutely love it.

Great experience for amateur trekkers. I completed this trek in peak of rainy season with my 12 year old son. It rained for almost half the time but we were prepared with anti-slip trekking shoes and rain coats, thanks to the advise from the trek organisers. It was very green and scenic throughout, got to see clear sky on the way back. It took about 8.5 hours with sufficient number of breaks and even lunch on the way back. Overall a fantatic experience and I highly recommend the trek organising team specially Sahil who was our guide.

If you are from within 50kms from Solan this is the best way to spend 12 hours away from city life. Beautiful 360 degree view from the top. Amazing and spooky forests. Breathtaking cliffs and clouds that you can touch. Carry your own supplies (food, water etc.) Best way to spend your day

Trek is 13-14 kms long. I would rate trek difficulty at moderate . Some areas in between were breath taking and amazing. I would suggest to have a kind of lunch or a small feast or something at the top in the temple which would definitely add some vigour to the trip as people get exhausted when they reach top and definitely would like to have something. Maggi point during the start was a pleasant surprise.

Beautiful trek, the trek starts from chambaghat and it's a direct accent from there till you reach the beautiful thick forest above, the green is filled with thick deodar trees and the winds are cold it's a complete relaxation from the heatwave in the valley and the journey is rewarding in the end..

Great hiking trip organised by Harsh, Sachin, Vishu and many more . Thanks for amazing hospitality. We were two families with children aged between 10-12. For amateurs this is moderately difficult trek, they can choose to go to Pandava Gufa vs going for Karol tibba which is Mata temple at the summit. Would recommend to do a night stay va doing a one day round trip. Thanks again

If u are looking for an adventure for a couple of days this is the place for it. I went for a trekking and camping adventure and had the best time. The view was beautiful, away from the city, had bonfire, sat under the stars, sang, danced. In short, one of the best trips that I've had in recent times. The guides are great. They were extremely helpful and kind.

Harsh arranged for a young gentleman to be our tour guide for the day. He was very polite and well mannered. Paced our climb very well. Thoroughly enjoyed the hike up to 7,400 ft. through pine and oak forests. Getting on to Eagle Rock was an experience. If you like to hike, this one is a great day trip. Well worth contacting Harsh rather than trying the trek on your own. Money well spent.
