Then around 10 Kms balance will take 1-1.25 hrs more, road in very bad condition, do not travel late evening, no networks, drive carefully. After reaching the down point , around 800-900 steps uphill to reach Shikari Mata temple. About temple a must visit Mata temple, No slab can ever be put on the temple and in snowfall season only the area with temple is not covered. Here you can find Sarai and food at local stalls , for night stay you can choose to stay in tents. Awesm weather. On return do visit pandushilla, a big stone can be moved by your bare hands. Baglamukhi Mata Mandir can also be good option to visit for picnic , some recreational activities for kids.

The Shikari Devi temple is located on a hill top of Mandi district under middle Himalayan region with an altitude of around 3300 mt. Just google and know the mythological history behind Shikari Mata. The area lies under Shikari Devi Wildlife Sanctuary surrounded by majority of high level Oaks (brown oak) associated with fir in opposite aspect. You have to walk up the stairs by around 600 mt from the parking area through the beauty of Kharsu oak forest. Amazing view while going through the apple orchards, dense mixed coniferous forest from . This was the sanctuary that in 1962 received official recognition from the Indian government. Goral, black bear, leopard, musk deer, and monal are just some of the animals that visitors to the jungle may see. A very calm and beautiful place where you can visit and enjoy snow in the month of January- February You can easily spend 3-4 hours just by sitting on the bench and doing nothing, you will feel that your soul is also enjoying it. The trek - a person who doesn't walk on a daily basis will take 40- 60 minutes to climb and who is active will take 20-30 minutes. The road is good, the horrible jungle has no shops nearby or people. No mechanic shop in the region if your vehicle gets stuck so keep your arrangement before. And please don't spread plastic or pollution there its a huge request from every vistor And enjoy the pictures taken by me
