March, 2023 Path Tokyo is an absolute gem in the heart of the city. It takes some patience, about 30 minutes, for the famed Dutch pancake. Oven-baked to perfection, it's generously topped with Parma Prosciutto, burrata, and a drizzle of maple syrup. We also indulged in the Canelé, Burdock Soup with Scone, and Chicken Curry Rice, each offering a unique and comforting flavour profile. One unique aspect of our visit was witnessing the lamination process with a manual sheeter. It's not often you get to see the artistry behind the scenes, and it added an extra layer of appreciation for the craftsmanship.

It took 45 minutes wait on Thursday when I arrived at 8:15. When I finished eating there was already a very long line waiting outside the restaurant. You need to come early before the tickets run out. (Especially during weekends) The Dutch pancake tastes good but please finish it while it’s still hot or it may become a little bit greasy. I won’t recommend the sandwich since it’s so average that doesn’t worth the long wait. The coffees are good though.

I gave this place 2 stars. And to be honest, I think that is generous given my experience today. The chef/quality of food is what earned the two stars. The rest was an absolute mess. The staff was aloof and clueless, as well as having the pleasantness of dead fish. And the personalities, too. With the exception of one waitress who was smiling and pleasant. The details of the bad: there was a queue of people waiting to be seated, 45 minutes or more. Meanwhile, the staff would let empty tables remain empty for 10 to 15 minutes. Like, huh??? Also, I ordered the Dutch pancake, which is supposed to take 30 minutes to cook. I also ordered homemade granola. The pancake came out in 15 minutes, which would have been a great thing. Except that I ended up waiting 30 minutes for the granola. Again, it made absolutely no sense. Also, our waitress never checked on our table. Never even asked how everything was. But they had enough time to change the records on the record player every time that needed to be done. And... they have this insulting policy that each person at your table MUST order a drink. And as you would imagine, those drinks cost ridiculous prices. 550 yen for a coffee. Insane. The owner(s) should be ashamed, greedy as they are. This place is mismanaged from front to back. It's almost criminal. I won't go back. I advise you skip this place, too. There are literally thousands of better options in Tokyo.

I’ve saved this place in my Instagram list since 2017 and only managed to visit in 2023!! The Dutch pancake, $19 SGD (1,850¥) is as heavenly as I imagine. Somewhat like a cakey French toast perfumed with a strong maple aroma; eaten with the burrata, was delicious. Not a fan of prosciutto usually but thank god for the thyme (would be even better if there was more thyme!!) which helped to cut some of the cured meat smell. The annoying thing about Path is the long wait to be seated- not to mention the Dutch pancake that required 30 mins of prep time. I was there at 10.15, and was seated at 11.22am and was only served the pancake at 11.55am- which meant I had a total wait time of 1hr45mins for my food… (there were about 8 groups on the waitlist before me). Mind you, this was a Thursday morning… TIP: I reckon to go either between 8-9am or to go during lunchtime, after 12pm as I noticed the queue seemed to have died down by the time I was seated. Another annoying thing was I had gone to get coffee elsewhere while waiting but had to order another drink which was the chai float $7.50 (750¥) that was basically normal milk tea with chai icecream- an easy drink but the chai could be more pronounced. Also while waiting I was starved so managed to score the last pastry left: a scone (270¥) which was rather decent. (Would’ve loved to try the croissant though!!) would I be back? Yes but possibly only if the wait time was <30mins. 1hr, is in fact ridiculous.

We arrived after 8am on Sunday and eventually got in at around 10am, by which time all the baked goods had been sold out and we had no choice but to order something else from the menu. Anyway those were good, but definitely not worth the nearly two-hour wait.

Need a little effort to eat here, since it’s famous. You can take a queuing ticket in front of the shop then go wait somewhere else as they will send notification to your Line. (We went on Saturday 10.45 and got seated around 12.15, FYI.) Food were as good as expected. Nice atmosphere (rather dark inside of the shop) and nice staff. 2hr seating time limit.

Tickets are out before 10am on Sunday, so get here fast and early. I only got to try the small cakes. Financier was good. Canele was way too sweet for my taste.

Really awesome course meal. The French toast was insane - not too sweet, eggy bread and lightly whipped cream. Also the Dutch pancake is great as others have attested! Croissants only come out at 8:50am FYI

This place is one of my highlights of trip to Tokyo! My friends who live in Tokyo recommended me so we went there and luckily we could sit on the counter but I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance especially for weekend. The food menu is nice and simple but everything on the menu is just looking sooo good. They have a good selection of Natural wine too! Definitely come back for breakfast next time for sure!!

Eat in (breakfast) is definitely average, the star of the show are the absolute best croissants you will ever have, anywhere. Pain au chocolat will have you incapacitated while eating too, but you really must have their croissants. Do takeaway instead: Recommend lining up before they open as they sell out fast & only make them @ breakfast time. Take them to the nearby Yoyogi Park and make a day of it👌

Came up as one of the suggestions for romantic dinner places, but turned out breakfast here is way more famous! Make sure to get into the line before 8am though... Dutch pancake with mozzarella and parm ham was great; high quality pastry, fresh ingredients, and just a tiny bit of rosemary to add interest to the fattiness/sweetness combination. Also liked their coffee, both medium and light roast, although wish the cup size was way bigger. In terms of atmosphere, a well-balanced space with a nice open kitchen. Warm, cozy, perfect on a gloomy day. Will be coming back for more, - although there is a dedication in waking up at 6am on Sunday just to get in a dreamy breakfast, - and will book a dinner. Seems like the chef here is quite a star...

Absolute chaos. We arrived and left our name on the sign in and then the person after us was told to sign in inside, which we then needed to go do. While waiting they didn’t even use the numbers from the sign in and then used the name sign in outside. You have no idea how long of a wait it’s going to be. Then your number gets closer and you’re ready to go in and another customer that missed their number being called awhile ago gets to skip in front of you. If you’re wanting to eat brunch here you need to show up at about the time you’d eat breakfast.

One of the best Dutch Pancakes I’ve ever had. Cozy cafe with counter and table seating. The menu is limited, but the few items they do, they do well. Financiers and scones sell out early. Would return.

The Dutch pancake is the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted. I’ve been myself in the Netherlands and can certify that the pancakes at Path are among the bests in the world. As for the drinks the selection is limited and they don’t offer lattes. Their homemade lemonade is good without being great. The place is excellent for a date or just to go there by yourself and read a book. During weekends it can be crowded but if you get there early in a weekday you can easily get a sit.

Perfectly nice cafe. I just can’t quite fathom why the queue is so long. It’s decent food and coffee in a nice environment.

My good friend Gandalf told me about the best pain au chocolat made at Path. And I’ve arrived to a line up and this message. Why would you stop making those wonderful pain au chocolat I heard so much about but will never get a chance to try? And yes, the food was good anyway, the music excellent and I had a good time but…I mean…ni pain au chocolat?

Long queue but it’s really good. Ambience is very homey. Would love to come back here again! The burrata, prosciutto and maple combo is terrific.

Always a delight to visit Path every visit to Tokyo. I've only had the Dutch Pancake (a good 15-20mins wait after order), but it's well worth any waiting time. Perfect combination of the pancake, the prosciutto and syrup. Restaurant will get crowded as it's not a huge place.

We came after a stroll in the 代々木公園 . The autumn leaves were amazing. We wanted to try the croissant and the potato soup but we came at 1:00 and was too late( they didn’t take in more customers) and they were all sold out by the time we arrived. But their signature dish Dutch Pancake with Burrata Cheese and the Sausage egg muffin was divine 💓 the whole environment was very cozy too. Definitely worth the wait.

Some of the best French food I've had outside France, and better than a lot of food I've had in France. The Dutch pancake is absolutely worth the wait, I would suggest dipping crust pieces into the syrup sparingly as it is so rich and delicious as-is. The craft beer from Kyoto Brewery is wonderful, and the baked goods are cooked to perfection.

The atomosher of this cafe is very cozy and sophisticated. (It's the same concepts as bistro Rojiura in Shibuya.)The Duch pancake with burrata cheese and ham with maple syrop is highly recommended. You can enjoy whole texture such as crispy, chewy and melting in your mouth. Another recommendation is their fresh bakery. It's just so authentic! :)

Best brunch in Japan and I have yet to find another restaurant that even comes close. Make sure to get there early before the line gets too long and expect to wait on weekdays as well.

Cool, stylish, yet cozy. One of my favorite third-places just 1min from Odakyu (Yoyogi-Hachiman) and Metro (Yoyogi-Koen) stations. They usually do brunch, lunch, dinner and to-go, also have various brunch spécialités such as dutchbaby pancake, fragrant-buttery-flaky croissant, fermented fruit-juice etc. Plus, if you are a natural wine lover, had better come for dinner and check their nice selections😎 Basically they do not take reservations except for fixed dinner course, and weekend brunch/lunch must be busy. Also they have a couple of sister restaurants, please check their website, enjoy!

I ordered the Dutch pancake with Parma Prosciotto & Buratta Cheese and Coffee Parfait with Homemade Granola. I am actually not a big fan of bread or pancake but many of my friends recommended this place. Having a huge expectation to come here. If its good then I hit a jackpot if not well then I am just being adventurous. But I hit the jackpot. The Dutch Pancake takes time to cook but it was worth the time. It tastes sweet and savoury. The texture is very soft like sponge cake ( I think they use lots of egg yolk, you can taste the egg yolk right away) and the buratta cheese was amaaaaazziinngg! If you prefer sweetness, they provide the maple syrup to add by yourself. This is must try because you hardly find this dish in Tokyo. The Coffee Parfait is also nice. Vanilla ice cream with coffee syrup on the top of it. I like the granola, not too sweet and crunchy. Feels like I can eat this everyday!! Cons: the Organic Orange Juice taste so bad! It taste like orange skin rather than orang juices, very bitter and a little sour. It smells weird too. Too bad I cant try the freash bakery.

In early morning they have nice croissant and pan o chocolate, other pastries which would sold out quickly. fluffy Dutch-oven baked Buratta cheese with Italian ham pancake is a must menu for brunch. Night time they serve neat bistro style food and good selection of wine with decent price, highly recommended!

The food was excellent, but I can't say I really recommend it given the wait. We lined up on a Saturday at 10pm and were seated just after noon. If you can make it at a less crowded time it's very much worth a visit, but I wouldn't go during peak hours.

Crazy long wait but well worth it. Do it only if you have time. Pancake was fluffy and crispy on the outside with a burnt taste which I absolutely love.

👍 There were about 20 people in front of us and we waited 40-50 minutes before we’re ushered inside the restaurant. I was glad I had not chosen an outside table because the air conditioning was working well. The meat was tender and melted easily without much chewing. I felt the cream and wasabi sauce...
