Very cool and affordable hostel right at the surf break. The staff is super friendly and helpful and it’s got a lovely family atmosphere. Great food as well with different dinner special throughout the week!

I stayed here 10 days. As soon as I arrived, I felt at home. Super friendly vibe, cheap accommodation, good food and possibility to rent boards on site! It's the perfect place to surf, fish and meet amazing people. It is therefore without hesitation that I recommend the cafe cerveza, again a huge thank you to the whole team for this unforgettable experience :) Greg

Good price quality with kind staff. The location is great, 100 meters from the ocean and 5 min walk to beginners bay. Their restaurant has proper food and one of the cheapest in the area. During valentine's day they made it into a very nice and romantic place with balloons, candles etc. The rooms are rather basic but it suits the price. Would be nice to have something in the room to hang towels and wet clothes. Would make it a lot easier to keep the room organised.

the good things about this place are the location near the beach, a lot of space to sit and hang out, the cleaning every day, the price and the soda next door. BUT: the beds are not comfortable, the rooms get really warm at night, the fans in the rooms are very loud, the food is good but most of the dishes are overpriced for the size of the portions, the electricity runs out when it‘s raining, certain people of the staff can be rude and the wifi is not reliable for working online.

We loved this place and ate here a few times during our stay in Popoyo. It was literally the only place we found that was reasonably priced and run with local people. They are actively working with Nicaraguan people and the food is delicious. Highly recommend you try it - and very friendly too!

I went there with my dog and it was so great!! => This place is like a big family hostal and restaurant, where you feel at ease! you can have a beer, have some delicious food , relax, meet and of course enjoy great surf. Located between 2 beaches you have the opportunity to decide in the morning where to surf and in the evenings stunning sunset just a the corner. Definitely loved the atmosphere here chill and welcoming! ❤️✨ (Went for 2 days and stayed a week) 🖖

Great food! Very close to beginners bay, which is great for surfing. Rooms where small and beds not great, but the location made it worth it.
