We stayed here in August 2022 as a treat on our honeymoon- well that was a mistake. I was charged twice, and it took me months to get £1000 back from the bank, as the hotel refused to assist. We were supposed to have a romantic meal on the beach, with a bonfire. They were setting up for a rave, so we had to listen to generators, the assembly of a stage, and lorries trying to get up a steep hill. Then hundreds of people turned up the next day, and the music could be heard for miles. No wonder there are no turtles to be seen on the beach, despite there being notices up to say there are nests. Absolute disgrace. Avoid like the plague. Staff couldn't care less either that we left early. This was also under the new management too. Good luck 😂

We're here now and were happy that the place exists and had our booking. Christmas Dinner was a real disappointment. Then we got back to the room to find stained sheets on the bed. Some of the furnishings are shabby.

Great place but the staff is not very helpful especially in the restaurant. Most of the time they're too busy on their personal cell phones to pay enough attention to what they're doing and provide decent service.

My partner and I didn’t stay at the resort, but we rented one of the houses on the property via AirBNB. From what we saw, the resort itself is very beautiful, the rooms look nice, and the staff we interacted with were all very friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed Aqua’s private beach at Bahía La Redonda and the food at Coconuts Beach Bar & Grill. Visiting from New York City we are no strangers to spending $50+ a meal for both of us to eat, but when we were told about how inexpensive everything in Nicaragua is, we were a little shell shocked to be paying that much every time we ate at Coconuts. The yoga deck at Aqua is also very nice and offers stunning views of Bahía La Redonda.

Hard to rate. A premier location on a beautiful beach that's a bit down on it's luck primarily due to covid and drop in tourism. Friendly staff. If you can get a good rate and just want a beach largely to yourself, worth a shot. Will be curious to see how increase tourist traffic impacts their operation.

Super relaxing and quiet resort tucked in the forest with nature all around you. Villa was clean with nice furnishings. Food was great and all from local sources. Staff was super friendly. Private Beach was very nice and you feel like you almost had it all to yourself. Highly recommend if your looking for a place to relax and unwind.

Lovely place. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, warm water and A/C. The service was absolutely the best. I booked online without knowing much about the place. The cabin they assigned was not to my liking as it was a little high up. No fault of there own. They went above and beyond to find a cabin of our liking to make sure we felt eight at home. Definitely will will return.

Terrible customer service. We made a $500 refundable deposit however we were never reimbursed after multiple calls and emails which they promised us our deposit was on its way back to our bank account. Stay away from this place.

My recent stay at Aqua was mostly pleasant but far from perfect. This is not the Four Seasons. You will not be greeted with a drink, find comfortable robes or slippers or nice smelling products or in my case, even a comfortable place to sit. Aqua is rustic veering a little towards glamping. In terms of luxuries or comfort it delivered far less than expected but also in some areas delivered far more than expected which is why I'm leaving 4 stars despite some grievances. Namely, the views. I stayed in a deluxe Oceanview treehouse and the views were absolutely breathtaking! I've stayed in many luxury 5 star resorts that offered far less. For those views I usually pay upwards of $1000 a night. There were many times I sat in my treehouse and whispered, this is amazing. From your bed at night you will see an enormous sky full of twinkling stars and moonlight. During the day you will witness majestic birds soaring through blue skies,exquisite mountain views and you will hear the ocean at all times and experience profound contentment. It was wonderful. That sort of made up for the times when it wasn't wonderful. I would be dishonest to not say I had issues with the mgmt. However most of my issues were eventually resolved. The front desk was very warm and kind and that goes a long way. They did everything in their power to resolve any issues. Chrystall and Angie were lovely and another reason I'm going with 4 stars. My stay here was far from perfect but I did leave with a smile. The food here was mostly good. I enjoyed most of my meals. I especially loved the coconut French toast, fresh mango and papaya. Delicious! Eating breakfast while gazing at a gorgeous view was not too shabby. The beach is very pretty. I'll also say the guests I observed all seemed happy here. Lower your expectations and I'd say Aqua will probably deliver for you. Expect little in comfort and luxury. Their price point reflects that. You will not get beach towels here and you will be sitting on rocks and hard wooden planks. Despite that there is much to love and as I said, I ultimately left with a smile and would probably return due in no small part to the smiles and friendly staff

This place is absolutely amazing. My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The staff is friendly and the food is great. We stayed in the Xenia LS treehouse and it had a remarkable view of the ocean. It also has a private pool and kitchen. The entire resort is beautiful and the staff goes above and beyond for you. They make you feel like family. The spa was excellent. We received two massages during our stay. The water is warm with relaxing small waves. We went hiking and saw howler monkeys, raccoons, crabs and beautiful birds. Everything is high up on the mountain so get used to walking. It’s great exercise and totally worth it. We will definitely be back.

I booked a reservation online and tried to call and no one answered. I emailed and no one responded. We never went and our credit card was charged TWICE.

The hotel is beautiful, the view is spectacular and overall the experience is nice, the reason why I am giving it 4 starts is because of the beds, they feel like a giant pillow, kind of uncomfortable.

Aqua Nicaragua best place for your stay!! We definitely loved our weekend getaway and are already thinking about coming back soon! The food, service, beach, rooms, activities, staff everything was just amazing. We loved meeting Sara and Martin the owners as well❤️ 1000% recommend.

Is a great getaway place. Forest and sea , if you want a relax, you got it come. Good view ,good peaceful place.

Place is a scam. Looks nothing like the photos. Treehouses are old and need a massive renovation or tear down. Staff does not speak English either.

Best place in the world. Beautiful scenery private beach. Surrounded by nature. peaceful, fun, Tranquility. My Favorite 😍.

Business here is shady. A lot of things happen behind the scenes without clients’ knowledge. I’d recommend elsewhere for a more trusting and honest resort. No room service, minimal amenities, and no hot water for the shower! The beach is nice, but be ready to fight for your chair because they are limited and people can get very aggressive.

Incredible place. Unique paradise views and a pristine white sand bay that will leave u speechless. It's a bit of a walk through a forrest to get to the sand but it's well worth the workout because after you've enjoyed the awesome beach....you'll have to trek back uphill to get your room!.

We had an excellent time, and the place was wonderful. The weather really helped, as we had sunny skies for 4 days straight. The staff were so helpful, and friendly too. The food & drinks were really good, and at a very reasonable price. We WILL return again soon!

Paradise 🏝 I am quite sure this is heaven on earth 🕊🤍 Absolutely stunning location, divine pina coladas and the best beach bar with views of Giants foot to boot! Loved our stay, our magic plunge pool, our beautiful room and dining under the stars with sand under our toes. Howler monkeys in the jungle at night is an experience we will never forget!! Epitome of a true tropical escape, understated luxury, laid back vibes in unique surroundings unlike anywhere else. Well looked after, felt entirely safe and spoilt throughout. Beautiful.

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed (just got back). The views from the cabins over the rainforest and beach are stunning and the staff are very accommodating. Seafood at the restaurant is great - try pomegranate smoothie! We went in off season and got 2 nights for 1 booking directly through the resort, amazing value.
