Mahendragiri,
is
a
mountain
in
Rayagada
block
of
the
district
of
Gajapati,
Odisha,
India.
It
is
situated
amongst
the
Eastern
Ghats
at
an
elevation
of
1,501
metres
(4,925
ft).
This
is
the
second
highest
mountain
peak
of
Odisha.
Legend
says
that
it
is
the
place
where
Lord
Parashurama..ππ»ππ»ππ»,
a
chiranjeevi
stays
eternally
and
performs
tapasya.
Parashurama
is
the
sixth
avatar
of
Vishnu
in
Hinduism
and
he
is
one
of
the
Chiranjeevis
(long
-
lived),
who
will
appear
at
the
end
of
the
Kali
yuga
to
be
the
guru
of
Vishnu's
tenth
and
last
avatar,
Kalki.
It's
one
of
the
undeveloped
beautiful
hill
stations.
We
went
by
bike
the
road
was
not
good
but
you
can
travel
via
bike
or
four
wheelers
as
well.
You
won't
find
any
shops
over
there.
So,
you
should
bring
water
bottle
&
some
food
items
from
the
down
areas.
Open
&
close
time
5AM
to
5PM
If
you
can
go
at
5AM
you
can
enjoy
sunrise
over
there.ππ
The
weather
was
awsome..
π€π»ππ»
I
feel
better
but
the
government
should
be
focus
to
the
development
of
this
hill.
