Quinta da Marmela is a great space for a tranquil getaway with friends and family. The rooms are spacious and the terraces easily accommodated having meals out in the fresh air for our group of 10. There is even a large terrace in the back of the house with spectacular views. This terrace and entire villa would be the perfect place to host an intimate yoga and wellness retreat.

This place is a dream. The owner purchased this property and took her time restoring this Quinta. Some of the original hand painted tiles are still there. You can really sense the love and passion that went into this massive restoration project and I’m happy to have benefited from said labor of love. Everything was stunning from the landscaping in the front to the beautiful countryside with horses roaming the property eating figs from the trees. Magical. If it weren’t for the pictures I took I would probably think it wasn’t real. My husband and I had the best time not only celebrating a friends wedding at this location but relaxing by the pool, napping in the sunshine and sleeping in a lovely room. The location is absolutely prime, you feel like you’re miles away from the entire world but you can still walk to the city center if you please. I cannot recommend this place enough. We both can’t wait to go back.

We spent 4 days at this place for the 40th anniversary of my brother, this place is magic. Waking up in the morning with the birds chirping, going to the terrace, enjoying a 270° view on pristine nature, wild horses, and then going down the stairs to enjoy the swimming pool. The place is all restored, well furnished, the mattress are super high quality and wifi very good. It's like having a 5 star hotel just for you and your family, disconnected to the city. Beautiful place with outstanding views, spacious rooms, a nice pool to hang out and very nice trails all around the property. As an added value, it’s a family-owned business so they’re really friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to stay there again!
