I was hesitant to move here because it's new and I read a bad review. Let me say this, you can't believe every review. This place is amazing. Joe the manager is always responsive, the building is taken care of, the tenants are nice and the amenities are just unheard of in Buffalo. Not to mention the price isn't astronomical, it could be a little lower but I guess that's what you pay for downtown buffalo living. They allow pets which is a huge plus, and the building is locked down like fort Knox so you don't have homeless people sleeping in doorways etc. If you are looking for a safe, very clean, very hip place to live in Buffalo, then the Grid is where you want to live!

I moved here in April in a studio apartment and I absolutely love it! The amenities (gym, rooftop, lounge and conference area) make it very easy to connect with other residents. Not to mention the workers, especially Jo, are so friendly and are able to help you with any problems you may come across. Maintenance is always there when you need too and there are also RA's who are always a phone call away must you need something. They plans activities such as yoga and Bills games viewings to make everyone feel at home! Plus with being downtown there is no issues with parking! If I could give 10 stars I would :)

The front office is wonderful, especially Joe who's gone above and beyond for me multiple times. The 1 star reviewers are out of their minds. Maintenance is quick and the building is nice and clean. The gym, rooftop lounge, in-unit laundry, and the AC/heating are awesome. My studio was exactly what I was looking for and I loved my stay here. Tip for anyone moving in: the gap between the door and the floor does leak some sound from the hallway. This can easily be fixed by getting a door draft stopper for $5 from amazon. The walls are fine, not once did I hear noise from my neighbors. Everything else was 10/10. Thanks again to the grid apartments staff for everything.

I have been living in the grid for more than a year now. Moe, Joe, Andrea, Sam, and Codey they are very welcoming, and they always make sure everyone is comfortable. They try to do different events and encourage a lovely atmosphere among residents. Moe is so helpful and great, he goes above and beyond in helping the tenants. The building is secured and it’s so safe. It’s quiet and the amenities are great. Highly recommend the grid. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

For the last 10 + years I have rented my apartment’s sight unseen. Due to relocation, distance in moving, I go with my instinct, and fair and biased reviews. When I got a hold of Cody to inquiry about prices, and availability I felt like I was talking to an old friend. He even did me a solid and called me back within the 1/2hr to give me a virtual live tour of the entire property, amenities, and spaces. I have lived in one of the most priciest buildings in Hollywood, California, and they did not even offer that personalization. I had a smooth check in for my first day, and it was all done electronically, and virtually. I even reached out to Cody late at night, and he responded when he was actually off. If you are looking for a relaxed, safe, modern, fully furnished (Inquire which models) community simply rush in and secure your next home. Guarantee they do not stay empty too long

*** I’m aware this is a long review, but it’s worth the read… If you are unsure where to live and are looking to relocate from a different city, state, or country to Buffalo, or even a different property, I lived here since 2020, let me explain to you why: I have had the pleasure of living at the Grid Apartments for the last three years, from the opening date of November 1, 2020. I can be considered a “day 1”. I’ve experienced everything some of these other reviews stated rent increases, changing of management, etc. I’m not claiming the validity of any other review whether good or bad, we all may have different opinions. Yes, I have had moments where things frustrated me, but my attitude towards my living experience here has been nothing short of great. Before moving into the Grid, Joelisa, who is now the Regional Manager did a great job on selling me on the vision they had for the Grid. Everything she stated turned out to be honest and true. Andrea and Cody, the property managers, have been exceptional in their dedication to providing a wonderful living environment. They are ALWAYS professional, transparent, approachable, and incredibly helpful when it comes to addressing any concerns or issues that arise. Their commitment to tenant satisfaction is truly commendable. Do whatever it takes to retain these two! One aspect that has always stood out to me is the cleanliness of the building. Jose and Maria, the cleaning staff, do an outstanding job of maintaining a clean environment. It's always a pleasure to come home to a clean living area, thanks to their hard work, and dedication. They are truly appreciated. I must also mention Mohammad, he’s in charge of maintenance at the Grid. I have never seen someone work as tirelessly as him. He is always on a mission to ensure that everything is in perfect working order. His dedication and efficiency are truly remarkable, and it's comforting to know that any maintenance requests are promptly taken care of. I never seen someone work harder than him. The community of tenants at the Grid have always been great. I never lived in a place where so many people are so sociable with strangers. The residence are diverse is many ways, which creates a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. It's great to interact with friendly neighbors. I didn’t know a single soul moving here and I met so many great people I now consider friends. In December 2020, Buffalo experienced a severe snowstorm. For several days, residents found themselves snowed in, but it was during this challenging time that the tenants embraced the 'city of good neighbors' slogan. Tenants came together, strangers and all, to offer support and assistance. One great example of this was the sharing of food during dinner time. Everyone provided what they had, ensuring that no one went hungry. It was a beautiful display of kindness and solidarity. Showed me what a true community is. Overall, I highly recommend the Grid Apartments to anyone looking for a great living experience. I lived in other properties since moving to Buffalo, and my experience at the Grid has over succeeded my expectations. The building continues to enhance with the Papa John’s pizza shop, the Strive Market, Dark Horse barbershop, 24 hour fitness center, conference room, virtual reality room, and the beautiful rooftop lounge area. It’s close to the hospitals which could be convenient for travel nurses or people who relocate to the Buffalo area for their Residency, Fellowship, or in the Medical filed. It’s also walking distance for the Medical students who plans to attend the Jacobs School of Medicine. Which could be essential when choosing a place to live when you relocate to Buffalo. However, you don’t need to be in the medical field to live here. I just wanted to express myself, I am grateful to be a part of this community, and I have no doubt that future residents will have an equal experience. The overall positive atmosphere of the building make it a truly exceptional. I love to call the Grid my home.

Let me preface this by saying I have zero monetary/business relationship with The Grid or related properties, and I am not being compensated in any way for this review. I was a graduate engineering student at the University at Buffalo, and they ran out of campus housing, but luckily I was able to find an opening at The Grid, which is literally the best place I have ever lived. I did not have a car, so it was super convenient having the metro right around the corner, and bus stops across the street. You can walk to downtown, Allentown, and Elmwood Village where a lot of restaurants, bars, and sights are located. The amenities are amazing for the price I paid for a one bedroom. Coming from NYC, $4,000/mo. is the minimum rent for most buildings with this level of perks, even for a 1 bd/1 ba which is what I had. Even in Reno, NV where I just moved, you'll only get all of this for $1,900/mo. I will say that this part of Main Street isn't the best, but the building security is excellent and I felt really safe living there. If you want a nice walk, just head one or two blocks over to Lynwood and Delaware Aves. There's a gym with pretty much every type of weights, exercise machines in great condition, a boxing bag, stretching equipment, etc. There is also a sizeable conference room on the 1st floor with a printer, huge flatscreen tv, and plenty of study space (except when the medical students take over hah.) The restrooms in open areas are kept pristine and fully stocked. There is an outdoor rooftop lounge with really cozy seating options, indoor lounge on the 5th floor with hanging nest chairs, couches, several flatscreen tvs, air hockey, pool table, a VR room (!), fireplace, full kitchen...I was super impressed, as was everyone who came to visit me. I haven't even listed everything that is available, but just go take a tour and look at the website, you'll get the full list. If you have issues with neighbors that you can't resolve on your own, Andrea and Cody are very responsive and helpful. They are also a pleasure to talk to and really friendly. Every concern that I had was addressed quickly and thoroughly, which were generally very minor issues. Overall, I had an overwhelmingly positive experience living at The Grid, and would definitely recommend it.

I think the building is nice BUT management is very inexperienced; specifically Andrea Leslie. Not only is she not personable but while living here I got the sense that she does not truly care for the well-being of the residents. I came to her with an issue and she kept saying “we never had this problem in the 3 years of the building existing” instead of coming to me with a solution. It put a bad taste in my mouth about the entire building especially since I pay so much to live here. There is no real sense of safety here because management doesn’t take complaints seriously. ———————————————————————— Here is my response to their response below: Andrea was very defensive when I reached out to complain about an on going disturbing encounter I was having in the gym with another resident. There was NEVER a resolution to the issue they taped a piece of paper to the wall and said “move on.” I also do not feel comfortable around the other resident or in the building because of the lack of concern that was shown by Andrea and management during this situation. So despite their long response riddle with a bunch of fluff. DO NOT MOVE HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT LIVING IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT WHERE PEOPLE ARE CONSIDERATE OF ONE ANOTHER AND MANAGEMENT TAKES COMPLAINTS SERIOUSLY. Especially if you present them with an issue that has never happened before in the 3 years the building has been built.
