The drink tastes very special. To me, it mixed the environment of East and atmosphere of West vey well. There aren’t many people at night, so you can have a very great time with your friends. Just few of you can have a nice deep talk. Or a group of you can have a party in a special room.

This place is by far the best all ages music venue in the area. It always sounds fantastic and the vibe is really great. A nice comfortable atmosphere with an excellent downtown location.

The Kava Loung is a unique place, home to a relaxing atmosphere and a truly special beverage called Kava. Steeped from the roots of a pepper plant in the pacific Islands, Kava is a relaxing experience (non psychoactive) that offers a respite from the trials of the day. While I enjoy the traditional Kava, bitter and earthy, with mild tounge tingling numbness, there are other options for you. Many different teas, caffinated or herbal await your discovery. This is an alcohol free alternative establishment that fosters human connection, moreso than a traditional drink bar. Not to mention, live music is played here often, and some truly stellar musicians entertain on the stage. You should stop in and feel the vibe for yourself, you'll probably end up going back many times while you're in Ithaca.

I am absolutely not a fan of super loud electronic style bars so I don't review them. But this is different though; lovely service from a very kind bartender, no alcohol but kava and tea instead, live music from local bands, comfy couches, and just a very nice vibe overall.

We were expecting a coffee/tea shop, and had no prior experience with Kava. John, the cool guy behind the bar, introduced us to the culture and the proper Kava drinking etiquette. Prices are reasonable for what it is and the experience. Lots of space that is used for events, social gatherings, etc. On the day we went (Saturday) there weren't any events listed, but a decent gathering showed up. Great place to chill out and mingle. Side note: I strongly recommend dudes to not use the restroom here... Only if you're desperate...

Wonderful teas and great selection of them, along with kava. Friendly staff and clientele. Quiet place to relax and socialize. Definitely worth a visit, as this place fits in perfectly with the culture of a place like Ithaca.

Certainly great vibes here! The kava is really good and the different flavors are tasty. They have so many different types of tea. It's nice to dance to the live music here. It has a hippie feel to it but anyone is welcome and you won't feel out of place. There's a lot of comfy seats you should deff give it a try!!

Kava bar , nice atmosphere 👌 Kava isn't really my thing but I went to see some bands I know. Yes this is an alcahol free bar but I had a really great time .

I have had some really great experiences here, definitely go for the fifth cup. Even better, make it a bowl! Great place and great people.

I had Kava here for the first time ever and they were very welcoming, explaining what it is and the effects it can give you. It's very relaxing and so is the atmosphere. Plus if you like music, their sound system is incredible

It's a unique experience for those looking to get away from the normal bar scene and have peaceful and relaxed socializing environment alcohol free. I'm not much of a fan of Kava, but the tea is wonderful! And the sound there is actually quite superior to The Range for instance, and not nearly as loud. There's actual comfortable furniture to sit down on when you're tired of standing or dancing. It's been a good experience seeing bands there. Again, there is no alcohol of any kind. It's an all ages establishment. Different but definitely an Oasis from the normal nerve shattering bar and club scene in Ithaca. Different vibes for neurodivergent scribes I guess. Haha!!

Great atmosphere. Definitely encapsulates the Ithaca Earthy vibe. Alcohol free place to spend an evening. Music is always at the forefront. Check the listings to make sure it's music you may like. There's such a variety it may not be your favorite type. Staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable about Kava which is an interesting experience unto itself. Definitely worth checking out for something different on a night out.

Great tea selection in this hidden gem of a lounge with musicians scheduled all week. Whether you hang out trying new teas or grab a lounge chair or sofa to chill, there will be plenty of spots to explore.

I love this place! It has great atmosphere, music, art, special events, a dance floor, Kava in flavors and great organic teas and tasty treats. The owners are awesome and the staff is always friendly. I highly recommend a visit, especially if you enjoy eclectic, artsy places with a cozy atmosphere.

It's a beautiful friendly vibe here. With tea 🍵 It is clearly set up to support a community and open for friends gathering at an alternative to a bar scene. This is where you should come to get delicious organic teas. "Every cup brewed with care and steeped in love." I just made up that tagline for them. 😋

aside from the kava, this is a great venue that hosts unusual kinds of events. There are limited beverage and food choices but what they do have is unusual and high quality. Very laid-back atmosphere. A great Ithaca resource.

A great place to try some tea and relax. The Kava tea has a unique taste. I suggest the coconut vanilla, but they might be out of vanilla part! It tastes weird different. And the taste will stay in your mouth for awhile. To me it tasted like Mylanta a bit. But you need to try. Unfortunately could not try it in the coconut shell but definitely go for it. How to get there? There is small white door almost covered with leaves around it, so for first timers if you are in a car drive slow. Also I did not see a designated parking for the shop. After you enter, the shop is downstairs. It has a lounge and a lovely cozy feeling to it. It also has a bar shape area that you can sit. the girl working there was a singer and super nice. Love to visit again if I ever pass there.

👍👍 How can anyone not love this bakery? It is so unique because it's not only a bakery and cafe, but they serve alcohol too (they even do happy hour from 4-6). The food is always fresh and delicious. They have daily specials. They're baked goods are very good, as well. They are a lot of drink options:...
