What a wonderful place to come to for my first meal in Porto. Carlos is the owner, chef, barman, and barista of this restaurant that he named after his grandmother. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but i highly recommend the poultry sausage tosta. Quality is a good word to describe the ingredients used -- everything from the Italian balsamic vinaigrette to the coffee beans roasted here in Porto. All in all Dona Mira is more than a cafe - it's place that welcomes you to a new city and makes you feel at home.

What a wonderful find, right around the corner from home! In the Duques area of Bonfim, just down the street from the U. Porto Belas Artes campus, this is a wonderfully warm and friendly place to have a lunch, a drink, some wine. Lovely garden out back, quiet and peaceful. There are art displays on the walls, with local artists and a well-known Brazilian artist to date. Carlos is a professional musician and often has local musicians and friends come in and casually play around the table in the evening. Great Brazilian tunes and vocals and a most-special ambiance. We just love it, part of the "renaissance" of this lovely neighborhood. Highly recommended!

We have been in Portugal for the past two weeks and this is our favorite meal so far in the whole country! We were extremely impressed with the sourcing of all of the ingredients. They high-quality ingredients speak for themselves. They had a relaxing back patio and the owner and our waiter were so kind. We are from New Orleans so good food and appreciation of music was a really homey touch for us. The cafe is also a bar. So you can head here day or night! We wanna go back and hope to see some music. Thank you to the owners!

One of the best places in Bonfim to have coffee, have good drinks and enjoy good music. Not to mention the 5-star service provided by the entire team at Dona Mira.

A truly special place where everything - food, drinks, music, atmosphere - feels handmade with care and creativity. Can't wait to return and will keep sending all my friends here!

Discovering this café was a true stroke of luck for me. After a long search across various countries for my favorite café, I finally found it. It has everything a cozy café should have! The music is delightful, clearly curated by a professional. The superb interior relaxes you, making time fly unnoticed while sipping a cup of coffee. And the coffee… it’s exceptionally tasty. Special mention must be made of the desserts. The inner courtyard is just enchanting—I’m in love with this place! The service is so pleasant too. Every detail makes you feel genuinely welcome.

We came here for breakfast with my running crew and loved buns and specialty coffee and breakfast options! 👌🏽 The staff is very nice! Loved the garden, we were lucky with the weather! Pet-friendly

I’ve just been here for the first time and the moment I walked in I knew this was my new FAVOURITE cafe in Porto! This place is so cosy and nicely decorated, feels like a living room, the people are friendly, there are books to read, and the carrot cake is very tasty. I’m definitely recommending this cafe to my friends and I’m coming back soon!!! :)

Definitely recommend. Nice vegan and veggie options. I asked for the toast dish, which originally comes with Salmon, Avocado and boild egg, only I did not want the Salmon (bc I'm Vegetarian), so the kind man (who I had the feeling was the owner) made it for me with Tomato instead and it was delicious!! and exactly what I wanted. I also had a Flat white (decaf) with oat milk and it was excellent. The place is beautifully designed and has an outside area which I enjoyed. Quiet space with wifi access.

Great neighborhood dining spot with delicious, healthy dinner options: sandwiches, salads, and specialty topped toasts. Extensive drink menu. The owner was a friendly, gracious host. Highly recommend.

This place is a little hidden gem! We were in Porto for 5 days, and this is the only place in our immediate area we truly loved, and the only place on our entire Portugal trip we repeated. The Leléo is absolutely amazing, but don’t miss out on the grilled cheese croissant! Great art, vibes, music, and food. The owner couple are very welcoming.

One stop shop for happiness: Art, specialty coffee, books, craft beer, good music, patio with vine, wine, people, food with character, cosiness and a friendly dog, occasionaly.

Adorable cafe lined with pictures of famous and talented musicians. You might choose coming here because it is pet friendly or because of the refreshing menu with tons of healthy or hearty options, but you'll definitely stay because of the warm atmosphere and beautiful music played. Bonus if you show up for a jam session Tuesday night!

Ultra expensive VS food & service. The place is nice as the atmosphere, small and well played, with some vintage concept design. The staff is friendly, but the service took ages... We waited almost one hour to drink a beer with a sandwich. And it wasn't full at all. The sandwich had nothing special on it, and the price was insane. With the same money, you have better choices to eat in the city centre.

Excellent little café with good reasonably priced food, friendly service and cozy atmosphere (if you're in the back garden). The iced latte was delicious and so was the chicken salad. Top recommendation if you're in the area!

Carlos - the owner of Dona Mira and his staff are all so friendly and welcoming. This is a little slice of heaven in the already heavenly Bonfim neighborhood. Stop by for a glass of wine and admire the space and creeping grape vines in the courtyard that is an oasis in a bustling little community. I promise you won’t visit just once. ❤️❤️❤️

Dona Mira is a wonderful place to have a snack, to have a late breakfast, to drink wine, to meet people over a coffee and some cake ☕️🍰 They often have cultural events/exhibits and the staff is super friendly and attentive. With a cozy atmosphere and a positive mood, it’s very welcoming to everyone. Highly recommended.

Cool place with really good specialty coffee. You can choose between a couple different brewing methods. Was there for a breakfast and it was really great too :) Recommend that place

I came here several times during my stay. There's a beautiful garden out the back which is lovely on a sunny day for a drink. It's also a nice, calm place to work from.

A MUST! Don't miss this place! A fantastic, truly fantastic little coffee shop with the warmest service by their Brazilian hosts, and a super green hidden garden in the back! An excellent place to have breakfast at any time of the day, write your travel diary surrounded by lush vegetation or read your favourite book while having the greatest cup of coffee. We had a lovely time there and will surely go back!

We found this little place two doors down from our B&B! Lovely garden seating out back and fresh, healthy choices on the menu: toasts - like flat breads, salads, sandwiches and snacks - so many choices. We ordered a cheese tray with olives that was more than ample for three as a starter and then main courses - one smoked salmon toast, chicken sandwhich and the shredded chicken salad - all of which have much nicer names than I have provided. All were very good and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing. 🍷

I wanted to like this place more than I actually did. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Unfortunately the food I got was oily and underwhelming. Maybe it was just because the staff was quite busy when I came

We found that place randomly while walking in the streets at the end of the day, and what a good discovery!! It is a really chill place, with a big and really well decorated terrace, a kind staff that can recommend you good wine and a good menu. You should totally make a stop if you are passing by, it's worth it!

Super friendly owner with decent English. Lovely little patio with vines and lemon trees next door. Lots of interesting sandwiches and salads, named after famous or not so famous individuals. Cute and we'll designed interior. Reasonable pricing. Great choice for brunch or any other urge to eat.

Splendid little coffee shop with an adorable owner. The food, desserts, and coffee are all top-notch: superb quality of ingredients and a very attentive kitchen. This is one of the only coffee shops I would recommend making a detour for!

We absolutely loved this place that we stumbled upon on our first night in Porto. Delicious food, excellent friendly service, lovely wines, and an absolutely unique and beautiful atmosphere. Especially loved the courtyard outside. Will go back again before leaving.

Carlos and Valéria and their team have created magical spaces which spill out into a walled garden in Bonfim. Music, art, poetry match light food and wine which celebrates Portuguese life. Muito obrigado🙏🏼

I LOVE this place. I lived down the street for my month in Porto and I came here at least once a day. It’s mostly family run and they are all so kind and friendly - they remembered my order within a few visits. Aesthetic is on point and they make the best cappuccino in town. 10/10 recommend.
