The truffle fries are a must! 🍟The garlic aïoli sauce is the absolute perfect pairing with them. God they are just too good!! They’ve got a nice selection of items. Their burgers are what they are known for though. 🍔They have some pretty unique items! I got the burger with Sriracha 🔥and peanut butter🥜. Very odd flavoring but I just had to try it haha. Big portion. Had leftovers. Great place. Yum! 🤤🤤 they also have outdoor seating that is doggie friendly! ☺️🐕🐶

The food was good pub food. Service was adequate.

My wife and I ate dinner here before going to a KU basketball game. While we were in a bit of a hurry, we certainly enjoyed the atmosphere and the quick and friendly staff. She got the hot Hawaiian burger and I got the Reuben and we split two orders of fries - sweet potato fries and “fire” fries. There were so many fries that we wondered if they gave us baskets of fries instead of side orders! My wife especially enjoyed her burger, and we loved the local feel of the place. We’d both come back to Dempsey’s!

Amazing food and great service!! It was my first time here, and the experience was phenomenal. Place was welcoming with great music. Our server was quick and friendly and was frequently checking if the foods were good. They were able to adjust our order per our likings and the food was delicious. Will definitely visit again.

The Thai burger was way better than I expected. I'm getting it again next time. Wish they had a marshmallow dip for the sweet potato fries.

Love this place! The food was amazing!! Pretzel sticks hot and crispy yet soft inside (with the beer cheese) were so delicious! Loved the truffle fries, cooked perfectly and wonderful flavor! But my biggest surprise was the chicken sandwich...I didn't think I would like red cabbage slaw on my chicken but I decided to give it a try and it was fabulous. The service was on point and the atmosphere of the Pub was perfect. Even the prices we reasonable for the food. With our son attending KU we will definitely be back soon!

Wow! I love trying new-to-me restaurants and this one was a huge hit. I had the Thai PBB burger with sweet potato fries and it was fabulous! Great waitress and fast kitchen.

I LOVE this place. It has a great indoor and outdoor environment. Good beers on tap including local Boulevard beers and Irish style beers like Guinness. The truffle fries are absolutely amazing and they have 6 or so options for dipping sauces. They also have their own house made ketchup that's amazing. The burgers options are interesting and so good! I got the Phog burger which has mac n cheese on it. They've also got a Peanut Thai burger and a Hot Hawaiian burger as well. Highly recommend this place!

This was my third visit. The first time was a few years ago and despite many people singing the praises of their burgers, I wasn't impressed. Last year, we visited for brunch during the Snowglobe event and the food and service were mediocre. This year, despite terrible customer service from the Snowglobe Express experience, I decided to take an out of town friend here. We had a reservation and the first half of our experience was good; good cocktails, cheese curd appetizers and service. We ordered more drinks and food to go. While we were still enjoying our drinks, we were approached by the host asking us to hurry along that they had another reservation coming in. Then, after getting home and opening our food I found that the burgers were still not good 2 years later. Maybe if you like a gristly, dry burger they are fine. If you like a juicy, flavorful burger and don't want to be rushed out the door, go to Lawrence Beer Company or Big Mill. We won't be back.

The best burgers we’ve ever had. Amazing food for the price, big portions for the price. You can’t go wrong going here. In line or a little cheaper than the chain restaurants and 10x the quality of your average chain restaurant and personally I would rather give a locally owned restaurant my money any day over a chain and this place proves why with its quality. Been here a couple times, our first order was perfect, but they did miss an order of fries on our last takeout order, but like anywhere else, that can sometimes happen and I should’ve checked it a little closer before leaving. You just can’t go wrong going here. Would highly recommend to anybody!

The drinks are festive! Cozy Christmas atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

Asked a friend for good burger in town he mentioned this place. Want impressed. Had to flag down waitress whence I needed her and she never ask how things were. Burger seemed a bit smaller than other places.

I love Dempsey's!! I rarely get lunch out, but their location is so convenient from my office that on a snowy day, I have no choice but to get a grilled cheese and tomato soup from them instead of eating what I brought from home! Their truffle fries are AMAZING and my team's work week always ends best when it ends with happy hour with Hailey!

Great Food ! Buffalo Wings were good. Fries are served in large portions. Truffle and Fire Fries were tasty. Burgers were good size and juicy.

Burgers and sweet potato fries were great. I had the house and my honey had one with goat cheese. Shout out to our waitress as she checked on us at just the right consistency. Pleasant first visit but it was a little loud as the place filled up and Bingo started.

We went for a late lunch with a party of 15. Most of the time when you have a party that big something suffers, service or food quality. Not Dempsey's. Emma you knocked it out of the park. Food was great, and hot, even with a large party. Thanks for your attentiveness to our group! Will definitely be back!

French fry heaven, cool atmosphere, and sometimes a seasonal pop-up bar. An array of gourmet hamburgers, wide selection of french fries and dipping sauces, wings and sandwiches. I was pleased with the quality of the burgers, and the quantity of fries was actually overwhelming. They are a “sports bar first,” so be prepared to let local games take center stage, even in pop-up season. You get more than you pay for at reasonable prices.

Love the truffle fries with garlic or truffle ability. Tried the Mac burger, it was huge and basically covered in a whole side of mac. Didn't have any drinks but they do have daily specials and happy hour that starts at 3. Went for lunch and food came out very quickly and had wonderful service. Definitely coming back.

Poor service! -Made reservations for the holiday pop-up. We were looking forward to relaxing and having good holiday-themed drinks. -We were seated immediately, and then it took over 15 minutes for the front table to notice we weren't being served. It then took another 20 minutes to get our drinks. Then we didn't see our server for over 30 minutes. At which we paid our bill. -We would've ordered another round or two! However, our time is valuable so we went to another bar. -I will mention it was not packed. There was staff standing around and talking on their phones. We were right by the front table, and the staff noticed us looking for our server.

Everything was delicious. Funny story-- our order was for carry out, and my son ordered a kids meal with lemonade. The staff wasn't able to find any kids cups for that, so they filled a two-quart plastic tub (probably some kind of ingredient comes in this) with lemonade and handed it to him. He thought this was the best thing ever, and he eventually drank the whole thing!

Waitresses are great and chill. The specials are surprisingly amazing. Not the most extensive list of drinks (some of what I asked for was out). Drink prices are absolutely stellar. The fries have a lot of variety and all were surprisingly good. A large selection of special dipping sauces as well. Burgers are above average.

This restaurant was awesome! The food was so good and fresh; the fries are to die for! Staff was friendly. We got there when a larger group had just gotten there, so our service was a little bit slow at first, but once we ordered, it was the best and fastest service we’ve ever gotten. I felt bad about the small rush because it was mid afternoon when there are fewer employees to help. The service was still good, and the employee who came to serve us was very kind and apologetic. They even comped part of our ticket due to the wait at the beginning. Wonderful meal. Get the onion rings!!

After a big day of parents weekend tailgating , we were starving,and despite a big crowd , the wait was short, the service was great snd the food was excellent! we tried the truffle fries, fried pickles, chicken fingers and cheese curds followed by delicious burgers ! can’t wait to go back !

My favorite pub in the area, travel from KC REGULARLY for the 5 star service. The owner is hands on and ensures everybody is having a great time. Best food. Best drinks. Snow globe is a plus ;)

We enjoyed a Sunday evening meal. We had a hamburger & fries meal and a fish & chips meal (pretty sure the fries are hand cut!). Great food, homemade tartar sauce, great buffalo sauce, awesome servers, and fun atmosphere. One block over from Mass and worth the walk.
