An exceptional church with direct access from the Royal Palace and public church. Here the Shroud of Turin is encased in the alter. It is easily accessible for public viewing. In Bologna, researches created a three dimensional view of Jesus using the imagery from the Shroud. See photo. For those who follow the documentaries regarding the Shroud, it is truly amazing to be in its presence.

So this is where the Shroud of Turin is held. Supposedly this is the shroud that Christ was buried in. The sacred sheet (sacra sindone). IF you believe in this stuff then this is the place to be. Religious wise, you should be here if you are around. Non-religious wise, I would suggest to visit as exploratory which is what I did, and well, it's nice in here. THe church is nice, the architecture is nice. All in all, enjoyable

Opening hours are completely different online, on google, on posters next to the museum/church and different hours are written on the front door - then it’s not open when it’s meant to be open. Listing correct opening hours should not be shrouded in such mystery. Correct them!

Former home of the shroud of Turin that was destroyed by a Fire in 1997. The entire interior has been Beautifully restored aside from the central alter where the shroud was kept. Amazing anything survived at all. Absolutely beautiful craftmanship in all aspects and breathtaking to behold.

This so far had been a highlight of our European tour...museum was closed but the turin shroud in its box is on display...AMAZING...and it was free...we parked right beside the cathedral and only cost us 1.50 euro...a must see.

One of the most amazing churches I’ve ever been in. A mathematical and architectural masterpiece never to be repeated. So good I went in twice and spent 15mins staring with my mouth open. Do not miss.

Incredible to visit this great artifact/relic. They're doing a great job of preserving the shroud, but it is to bad that it can't be in it's traditional place above the altar of the chapel. Instead it's in a side chapel of the Cathedral. A truly very beautiful chapel though.

We finally got to venerate the Holy Shroud of Turin. It was my and my wife long time wish to see the Holy Shroud of Turin. Thank God we finally made it after a long drive from Paris France.

The Shroud of Turin (Italian: Sindone di Torino), also known as the Holy Shroud[ (Italian: Sacra Sindone or Santa Sindone), is a length of linen cloth bearing the negative image of a man. Some describe the image as depicting Jesus of Nazareth and believe the fabric is the burial shroud in which he was wrapped after crucifixion

This church is beautiful. It is the perfect place where to pray if you're in Turin. You can visit it for free and you can buy reproductions of the Shroud of Turin, such as the one in the photo, or other holy items. Can't wait to visit it again!

Reopened after nearly 3 decades of repairs and restoration. An absolute, architectural gem and a significant place to visit for those arriving in Turin. The central altar was also beautifully restored later in 2021.

Amazing place the inside of the chapel you can feel the energy, around, the Domó is breath taking, and depend of the light you can have the perfect pic of the “Espíritu Santo” “Holy Spirit” “Spirito Santo”. And of course visit the church we’re is the holy “shroud of Christ”

Beautiful is all that comes to mind. Appreciate how it connects the cathedral to the royal palace and art museum. The contrasting colors of black and white marble make this room very distinguished.

A really nice place, fantastic architecture, yet the missing explanations is hurting the overall score.

The most spectacular chapel I've ever seen! You can enter it from city museums. There is one ticket for all of them. It was quite long to visit so I suggest to take it in the morning and make a whole tour through all of them starting from il palazzo Reale. Another option is to visit Duomo and take a look at the chapel through a glass window from inside the Duomo. Based on my experience, Duomo can be closed around 1pm so also better to take a look in the morning 😉

Stunning place. The chapel is dominant on the church and offers a nice view. It is also only accessible from the Palazzo reale so you need to buy the entrance ticket to access the place. It was a beautiful visit, especially with the little statue of Fabio Viale inside.
