FOOD: nothing special but overpriced (I get it because it's in a hotel). But for the price I expected something more flavorful and just better. • Vietnamese salad: I'd say Vietnamese inspired salad, it's so bland and far from the original dish. • Oysters: fresh but really small • Tuna tartar: again, lack of flavor. I thought I had covid when I tried these dishes. DRINKS: love the drinks I had • Afternoon tea: one of the most special drink I have ever tried, really creative. Smell and taste absolutely amazing, creamy and earl grey tea infused. • Collagen cocktail: very refreshing, they tried to make it special by light up a fresh passion fruit decorated on top of the cocktail. INSIDE: quite crowed and loud after 10 11 ish. The vibe feels up scale but a little too dark. SERVICE: very professional and fast, they have the service quality of a big hotel. We arrived and immediately got a valet parking

First time ever going to high tea, enjoyed the experience. A little loud with it being near the lobby, had a musician playing the piano which is nice. Overall, a relaxing afternoon to be had in a comforting space The bites itself were yummy. Fan of the savory side of things. The sweets were okay but I don't have a big sweet tooth. Huge fan of the scones and the accommodating jam compote, that was really good

DBar is a staple in Yorkville. I’ve always loved coming here, the atmosphere is lighthearted and fun. In the fancy midtown restaurant, you can find a mix of street clothes and office attire. They have music playing and ample seats to kick back with friends. The service is also impeccable. Thanks for letting me in last time with Crocs on!

This is an upscale and trendy restaurant by Chef Daniel Boulud. I found my mock tail too sweet but everything else we ordered was delightful. The grilled octopus and red snapper ceviche were delicious. We enjoyed the beef tartare that was spiced with harissa and mixed with mint yogurt. The desserts were inventive and refreshing with the use of strawberries and rhubarb. The service was quiet and excellent.

I chose the D|Bar to celebrate my Birthday, and I am absolutely happy that I made this decision. I was pleased with food, service, and individual approach from every staff member. Before writing this review I read few reviews about this bar, and some people wrote that the food was nothing special. I will allow to disagree with these statements. D|Bar & Four Seasons chef was able to take ingredients that we see everyday day and turn them into masterpieces. Very delicate flavors & absolutely astonishing presentations. Great & relaxing atmosphere: I felt extremely good and couldn't stop smiling. Thank you very much!

Had a decent experience at d|bar for their March special, Tuesday Fondue night. Overall, it was a fondue for 2 at $35/pp ($70 couple), plus tax and tip Let me start off with the good, as the fondue was wonderful, plenty to be able to absolutely smother all of your accompanying items. It came with broccolini (sprigadello), crispy mushrooms, shishito peppers, white baguette and some charcuterie. Service was very attentive, no issues at all there. Now let me get into the annoying. After arriving at 6:30pm on a Tuesday, with a normal sized drinks menu, I would not have expected them to run out of a signature cocktail, let alone two, at this time of night. My wife ordered the "Le Mont Rouge" which was a delicious version of a mulled wine with Virginia Black Whiskey. I ordered the "Winter in Mexico", as it sounded delicious with mezcal, casamigos, chartreuse, strawberries and pepper. They were out of the drink because they didn't have green chartreuse. After asking them to omit it, the server then told me they were also out of the casamigos. I asked if they could make another mezcal based drink, but apparently the Daniel Boulud bartenders only know how to make the restaurant curated cocktails they do not stock liquor for. Next, I got to take a moment to look at the menu to order something else, so I ordered the "Toronto Mountain". The server said, they unfortunately could not make that drink either as they were out of several ingredients. When asking me what else I'd like, I had to promptly ask, "how bout you tell me what you actually have products to make". I ended up getting a glass of red. Additionally, we asked the server if by chance there was any whole wheat or multigrain baguette, or even just whole grain bread to substitute with the white baguette for my wife. The answer being "no, it comes as it comes". Seriously? The Four Seasons doesn't have whole wheat? The food was great, the server was attentive and polite, but come to think of it now reading back, the service was s**t. A place of this caliber shouldn't be out of bar basics, and not serve something as simple as whole wheat. Disappointed d|bar, I had high expectations.

Went here with friends for a casual dinner. When we first arrived our server didnt give us the drink menu and we couldnt find her for 15 mins to ask her for one. When drinks came the glasses were sticky im not sure why but we all had the this problem. The food we ordered wasnt the best quality specially the fries tasted old but the pasta was delicious. The steaks were well cooked just like the way my friend liked. The chicken was a bit dry though. Overall not a great experience based on the expectations we had from this place. However we are planning to join for the tea hour and hopefully I will update my review.

Came for afternoon tea with a friend. Tea was alright but the finger foods were very underwhelming. Fresh loafs were alright. Savoury was okay and sweets were okay. Worth the experience(?) but not worth the price- didn’t taste that great tbh. Service was nice and the atmosphere was alright but food was really lacking.

Afternoon tea was really solid. The scones and dessert tier were great. It was nice to have a hot cross bun around easter time. Nice addition. The savory tier left a bit to be desired. Overall a really nice spot for afternoon tea with good ambiance. Service was excellent

D|Bar at the Four Seasons is a gem deserving every bit of its five-star rating. The atmosphere, a beautifully designed lounge, sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. Sleek and sophisticated decor complements the upscale vibe of the Four Seasons. The lively beats of fun music welcome you, enhancing the overall atmosphere. Service at D|Bar is impeccable, with attentive, friendly staff elevating the dining experience. Our evening began with espresso martinis, fresh oysters and burrata. The burrata, with poached pears and arugula, was not only amazing but also beautifully presented. For mains, we had the Dburger with wagyu beef, caramelized onions, tomato, morbier cheese, grilled mushrooms, and fries. Each bite was a burst of flavour. The roasted chicken and pork belly with purple potato pavé, squash, and fennel. Though the pork belly portion was smaller than expected the chicken was juicy with crispy skin. We ended our meal with tiramisu, a light dessert providing the perfect ending to an already delicious meal. From start to finish, our time at D|Bar was a five-star experience.

My family and I had a wonderful time enjoying their Afternoon Tea. Overall we enjoyed the selection of savoury and sweet foods that were offered, with only minor things of note (e.g. one of the desserts being too sweet for our liking). The tea I chose - Organic Kyoto Cherry Rose - was very nice!

Staff was very well adaptive to the covid situation with their mask wearing and hand santizer before you enter. Servers even wore gloves as all times when serving food/drinks. Interior looks modern and chic perfect for a night out. Food was also pretty good tho a little pricey but it is within the hotel so its considerable.

Great Saturday Date Night with my lady. Service is on point at all times. Staff goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is not ordinary. Our waitress Joy was sincere, knowledgeable and attentive. We were accommodated in the most intimate corner of the bar and it felt amazing. The menu is a wonderful gastronomic experience. We love the burgers done to our desire taste.

Four Seasons paired up with Cheese Boutique, which is the only reason I tried this place. This was afternoon tea for 1 for $75 before HST. First off packaging was pretty terrible. Very wasteful and using black plastic that cannot be recycled. Portions and overall texture and flavour were not worth the price. "mini croque madame" was supposed to be cured egg yolk; got a fried egg as seen in picture. Zaatar cracker for the Buffalo mozzarella and tomato terrine was soft and mushy. I cannot speak for service at the restaurant as this was a take home order. Will not be returning.

I have found a great place with a fantastic atmosphere for relaxation. The combination of a chill environment, margaritas, and Riesling wine created a soothing experience. The fact that they provide complimentary food adds to the overall appeal, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a stressful day. I do enjoy my time there with my friends

Great place for business meetings or cocktails after work. Located in the lounge area of Four Seasons Hotel. A classic favourite place to come for a work day when I need good service and a nice environment.

Ambience and the different attire on everyone inside this swanky 4 Seasons cocktail lounge really make it go the extra mile for me. From my amazing (Korean) Beef TarTar dish to even the carefully crafted Espresso Martini.. this place charges a pinch more than your average cocktail lounge but is certainly worth it. Next time you’re at Hemingway’s and looking to switch to a classier vibe pop by this place.

Came here on an early afternoon for brunch. Food is great, oyster was fresh, had the omelette and salmon - both are not spectacular but solid A level. Considering the high cost of going out nowadays, dbar brunch is a good place for a casual yet classy weekday brunch date without a high budget.

Amazing, personalized service. We had High Tea ($65 per pax) as well as a burger from the lunch menu, plus a bottle of sparkling wine. My hubby does not eat veggies and I noted this in the reservation. The restaurant took the effort to personalize his high tea items and replaced those that contained vegetables. When he ordered an extra burger, the service staff knew immediately about his aversion to greens and asked if he would like them removed from the burger. The small things that the staff took the effort to remember really made a big difference to the experience. Food is good. Ambience is great. The defining aspect of the whole experience is the service. All in all, we paid $300++ for everything. Expected from a luxury hotel.

Great vibe on a Thursday night. Dj was on point. Friendly service. Only had drinks but there was a staff member that didnt want to serve a few olives for our drinks which was weird. He said they didnt have any until we challenged him on how they make dirty martinis. Nonetheless another staff member was kind enough to bring it over. The space is large, good for social distancing. Clean and respectful of covid rules. Highly recommend if youre in the area.

Worst service ever. Went there with two friends, made a reservation. You get profiled as soon as you walk in the door. They treat you like an out cast and they will add gratuity to your bill without telling you. They treat you like your not welcome and they give you attitude. And then when you ask to speak to someone about your concerns you get ignored. But the table of men sitting if front of me had a great time and great service. Mean while we werent offered a second round of drinks, and sat with empty glasses for 2 hours. Wish i was a rich older gentleman, then i would have gotten service and respect.

Nice atmosphere, amazing service. I was there on a Saturday night and it was a nice vibe because of the DJ. We ordered just some appetizers and they were delicious 😋 will definitely go back

What a great place to have drinks, catch up, share a meal. Keep in mind I was there on a Thursday night, not too busy, after 7 the lights dim for a more fun crowd and mature evening if that's what your situation calls for. The appetizers were great. I recommend the hamburger.

Upscale restaurant and bar in Yorkville, inside the Four Seasons hotel. Good location, easily accessible by subway. Decent atmosphere and DJ, but they turn off the lamps and make it very dark so it feels more like a club which is odd. I was expecting high quality service from this type of restaurant, but was asked if I wanted drinks by two different waiters within 5 min, both of which were not my designated waiter and it took a while to order food. However, food came out in good time. Food and drinks are quite pricy, but somewhat expected for the location. However, basic cocktails like martinis, gin and tonics, and mojitos are the same price as their special/more exotic cocktails (~$25). Food was nothing special and some portions are quite small. For example, the steak frites comes with about 2 pieces of broccolini and no other vegetables.

Chicken was delicious. Churros and chocolate cake were both well crafted and incredibly tasty. Great spacing between tables of customers, and the decor is definitely upscale.

Great afternoon tea in a nice setting. The scones are not the best I've had. Savory and dessert items were the right portions. I would come again.

Fun atmosphere and energetic crowd. DJ playing in background. Great cocktails and pub grub. Muskoka chairs by fake fire-pits by the entrance were a cute twist for the winter months. Recommended.

The interior design leaves something to be desired, perhaps a feeling of intimacy is lacking. The menu is excellent.

What an experience ! Came for a birthday and the service was immediately on point. d|bar has a very modern and clean aesthetic. The servers were very attentive and friendly. Enjoyed a delicious Riesling recommended by the sommelier. Paired that with delicious oysters and ceviche. Main course included tempura mushrooms which were very flavourful, the branzino (beautifully presented), and Israeli couscous which complemented everything we ate. The dessert was amazing, I had probably the best dulce de leche cake I’ve ever eaten (I ordered a second slice), and apple and cranberry crumble. And topped all of that of with dancing into the evening —loved the DJ! Had the best time and would recommend !

Beautiful upscale bar for fancy folks looking to have a luxurious night night out. The cocktail prices start at a heinous $20 for maybe 150ml of drink. The drinks were scrumptious—however not for the price tag. The service was wonderful. Would recommend if you’re willing to spend a lot of money on small drinks.

Beautiful upscale bar to hangout with friends or go on a casual date. Service is great as always with four seasons, the food is pretty decent. I had the burger and my was it Juicy. The fries were disgusting though, not fresh at all. Worth the shot and money $$$

Good for what it is--an uncomplicated meal and some evening drinks. The food is high quality, but nothing that will linger with you. The cocktails are well-crafted and the Scotch menu is actually quite good (assuming you're looking for a diverse Scotch selection, and not rare bottles).

  • 4/5 Adam H. 2 years ago on Google
The food is phenomenal and worth the high price. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Service was a bit slow and we weren't able to be seated until 25 minutes after our reservation time which really wasn't great unfortunately. Otherwise, great ambiance and the DJ who was spinning that night was awesome.

Did not have a great time, my server accidentally broke my drink too and took away one of our drinks in case glass was in it and didn't even give us new drinks either? It was a very quiet hotel bar, I'd only come if I was staying at the four seasons.
