Managed, operated, ran...bailed water outta the sinking ship... this sad excuse of a bar for the last 4 years. ...Yikes. hahaha The ownership is terrible. Just the worst examples of humans. Really nice of them to use the staff during the pandemic while collecting federal covid grants & not paying any of the us. Followed by wrongful termination of employment due to personally motivated reasons etc. Too much dirty laundry to air in a review really. INCREDIBLY TOXIC, UNHEALTHY, UNPROFESSIONAL WORK ENVIRONMENT. I would Highly suggest spending your hard earned dollar elsewhere, but to each their own! Cheers!! ...not you Vicki&Tye

BEST DIVE IN KENSINGTON! Cash only! I got to chatting with the owner as I was doing my nails sitting up at the bar and we had a grand ol time! Very small venue. Great for meeting up with a few friends on the patio or back room. Or even a solo beer up front. Smells of patchouli incense burning. Overall great time. Always look forward to heading back to Ronnie’s.

This is a cozy spot to grab a drink with a friend. It’s pretty small (especially when it’s cold out and the patio is closed), so definitely don’t come here if you have a group larger than 4-5. The bartender was pretty nice and the drinks are well-priced. The only thing is: it’s cash only, so make sure you have some on you!

Truly a dope, local spot. Grungy glamourous, check your attitude at the door. Friendly staff, great vibe.

The bar is fine…but the waiter is absolutely the rudest person I’ve encountered. He screamed at a woman on the patio twice, and he was very rude to our party of two. It appears he has a problem with women specifically as those are the only people I witnessed his rude behavior against. He also drank 4 shots of brown liquor behind the bar in less than 30 minutes…so maybe he just stays drunk and belligerent. No thanks.

Great bar! Typical Toronto dive. Cash only, ATM in the back but the drinks are reasonable, draws a good crowd and is a comfortable place to hang out for drinks. Would definitely return.

Fantastic place. Absolutely loved it. We walked in, mid-day, with our two kids, 3 and 5 years old at the time. Had a few local beers while the kids had TB-juice. The super relaxed and friendly staff provided the kids with pens and paper. Some of the art created wound up on Ronnies wall, much to our kids delight. Great music, great atmosphere, great bar. Visit it.

Awesome local typical Kensington spot with lots of character, very popular and always pretty busy here. Good drinks. Large patio, open late. Order drinks inside.

A true dive bar in Kensington. One of our favorite places in the city. Brilliant tunes, brilliant service, unmatched chill vibes. Their selection of brew maybe outnumbered but not outclassed. 10/10. Cash only, and drinks only. There's an ATM inside.

How not to love Ronnie's? It is the best dive bar in Toronto! such a good vibe and absolutely not pretentious atmosphere. self-serve, cash only (with ATM inside), no food menu, but they are fine with outside fare (and so many great places to grab a bite around). washrooms are super clean and well stocked.

We encountered the most horrible customer service experience ever at this bar. We left because we felt so offended. Other customers outside of our group did the same. A particular male staff was very rude and condescending to everyone on the night that we visited. (After reading through several other reviews, a particular staff member seems to be repeatedly offending multiple customers! Not much of a surprise there…) This bar does not deserve anyone’s business with that kind of hostility being projected onto paying customers.

what can I say? if you know you know. Ronnie's is a gem of a spot. if you're looking for a fancy club, this ain't it chief. always busy in the summer, but somehow always has room. the back room is a dope spot for a small group. don't bother trying to steal a painting or decoration, its all nailed down bud. biggest draw for me and my friends? they always have Delerium on tap

Extremely rude man working there who swore at me when I asked if I was going to be served. I understand they were busy but the woman was putting away glasses/taking shots with a table inside while I stood there waiting. He then came over to my table to yell at me some more.

OK so the bartenders can be a bit off-putting to some people, but I didn't really feel uncomfortable. The front patio is lovely to sit at in the summer and they have decent craft beers on draught, including surprisingly the Delirium tremens. I tried the Shumei IPA from blood Brothers and it was a good pour, definitely worth another visit I reckon. The place is cash only, so plan accordingly

Great place to grab a pint either indoors or in the patio. There is a back room with more seating. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good selection of beers. Recommend.

This place feels like a little slice of home when you’re far from your own. Best bar in Toronto.

What a great pub - love it. I chilled on the patio last night - have to take advantage before cold weather hits - but inside has a fun vibe. The bartender was great, let me sample a couple of drafts to get just the right one. No food menu, but patrons are welcome to grab eats from nearby Kensington Market establishments and enjoy them at Ronnie's. I will be back!

This place barely looks like an active business from the outside but it is bustling on the inside. Amazing atmosphere with low lighting and candles at every table. They always play a great selection of rock/punk at volumes perfect for hearing conversations at your table, and not too much from any others. They don't serve food here but they allow you to bring in any of the great food you can get from nearby (and there is a LOT of great food just a step away from the bar). The place is also cash only but they do have an ATM in the back if you need it.

Great atmosphere. I love this dive bar and it's my go-to when my dad comes to town. Reminds me of the hick-town bars I'm used to.

Pretty much a hole in the wall bat with seating outside, but we needed a/c, friendly service, couple of bar-flies, I'd drop in again if I was that hot and thirsty!

A dive that immediately felt like home. music stays true to the look of the place. Beers I couldn't find in other bars (sour gose) I loved. Tried going back as many times as I could, and I'll be returning everytime I come back to Toronto. Cheers.

Your no BS bar with a pretty good selection of craft beers on tap and, if you’re up for it, pickle back shots. You can bring your own food since there’s no kitchen and enjoy it on the patio while people watching. I’d say this is one of the best bars to hang out at in the market.

Cool dark spot with good craft selection and a decent bar rail. Barkeep is usually blasting metal. Small front section opens up to a slightly larger back room and the patio in the summer is quite spacious. Cash only. ATM onsite.

Atmosphere good but only issue I had was with the draft larger, I could taste the lead from the pipes, think they need cleaning but other than that it's a decent vibe and employees are friendly. Didn't have any food so I can't say anything.

Friendly staff and nice outdoor seating area, let us bring quesadillas in from down the road to eat with our beers. Cash only but ATM inside the bar

Great dive bar in Kensington market. No frills, outdoor patio and a couple easy drinking beers.

The coolest bar we went to on our trip. Rob had just opened for the day, and invited us in like old friends! Immediately felt welcomed. Thanks for watching our sister while we got tattoos!;) Will definitely be back for shots.

Good points Bad Points. All depending on whose working. Great boozer until Ginge: The try hard bar tender tries to push his policies and attitude on punters. Possibly aiming for a localized culture of drinkers rather than tourists coming through but there are better ways of doing this. Reckon he gets an Uber straight from the pub to his home after his shift, avoiding bumping into any former punters...nah mean?

I was physically assaulted here, unprovoked, by their bouncer. He hit me three times in the face. I didnt threaten or touch him. A police report had been filed. With any luck he will be removed but the management seems disinterested.

One of the best places for drinks and drinks only. Great thing about this place they would allow you to bring food since they don’t serve any kind of. Must visit place!!!!!

Good drinks and vibe!! Cash only for now. Biggest problem was me getting too drunk on a Monday and puking in the washroom for an hour. But the bartenders were super nice about it which I appreciated soo visit there and expect cool people.

This low key bar is an excellent spot to chill in the Kensington Marker area. The bar staff are great and Big Al the host is awesome. I came here by myself looking to check it out and he made it his mission to create a table for me. Give that man a raise!
